An update on our pal, Miguel! We just had a real contractor come through to take a look at the job…read morecard and work Miguel had completed. We needed the floors in our home lowered 4 inches and a new sliding door installed. Both renovations needed a building inspector to look things over before covering up the floor and walls. Our new contractor now has to start at square one, as Miguel either didn't care enough to call in a building inspector, had no idea what he was doing to begin with, or was trying to scan us out of more money by having to redo yet another job we contracted him for. Our electrician also had to redo work Miguel had done, as he didn't follow simple blueprints or directions made by both us and our architect. If you're reading this Miguel, you've been NOTHING but a waste of time and money.

It took me a long time to find a nice mahogany wood door that we want to use in our house makeover…read more I consulted with various businesses and handyman who could help us stain the door. Of all the contractors I interviewed, Fabian seemed the most knowledgeable and offered the most useful advice. He recommended a certain stain and the place to buy it from. He's spot on that wood exposed to outdoor elements would do better with an oil based stain. He was always prompt and professional. But the quality of his work is what stands out. He sanded our door down to provide a smooth surface for the stain, took down our weatherstripping, and lined all the surfaces. His prep work was outstanding. His application of the stain was consistent with no drip or lines. He worked around all the edges perfectly. Our door came out so beautiful as you can see from the picture. It's the first impression for any of our visitors and we wanted it done perfectly and Fabian did an amazing job. And on top of all of this, his quote was one of the competitive of all the folks I interviewed. We will use Fabian again for our future painting needs.
