He's also one of the nicest people you'll ever meet. He did the work himself along with one assistant, who is also excellent. We interviewed three painting companies and appreciated that, in Final Coat's case, we were dealing with the guy who actually does the work, not just a salesman. Peter is our new painter.

I really appreciated how thorough they were with the preparation--carefully taping everything, protecting the areas around the house, and making sure the surfaces were ready before painting. The painting itself came out great, and they did a very good job cleaning up when they were finished. They completed our two-story, 2,400 sq. ft. house in less than two weeks, which was impressive. It was also very easy to work with them on choosing colors and having paint samples put on the house so we could see how everything would look before making a decision. Overall, great communication, quality work, and a very professional process at a reasonable price. I would definitely recommend Golden Gate Painting!

They showed up on time every single day, stayed on schedule, and were incredibly professional in how they carried themselves. Their pricing was very competitive compared to other companies I spoke with, and I felt confident I was getting outstanding value for the level of work they delivered. The attention to detail really stood out -- from the prep work to the clean lines and finishes, you can tell they take pride in their craft. What I appreciated most was how communicative they were. Juan kept me updated every step of the way, made sure I knew what was happening, and always checked in to confirm I was happy with the progress. That level of communication and care is rare. Mendez Professional Painting did an amazing job painting several rooms of our home in Glen Park…read more Junior came out in person to assess the job and provide a quote. He is professional, detail-oriented, and has a great sense of humor. The quote comprehensive and easy to understand, and there were no surprises at any point during the process. The team arrived on time every morning. Their work is meticulous from start to finish. They began by masking off all the surfaces that would not be painted with paper and plastic protection. They took great care of our furniture, moving and covering it carefully. They patched all the cracks and imperfections in our drywall to create a perfectly smooth surface. Then it was time to prime and paint. Our team was highly efficient--I was surprised by how quickly they were able to complete the job without cutting corners or otherwise sacrificing quality. We ended up not liking one of the colors we had chosen, and Junior was able to get the team back the next day to re-paint that room. The finished walls are beautiful. Junior and team did excellent work and we will absolutely be hiring them again!

I rarely write reviews because the value of services provided by contractors is generally low. In…read morethis case, it was an exact opposite, here's why. Junior came to scope the work and give us a very fair quote. The quote was comprehensive, detailed (not just a hand waving, and all the change orders are added later) and all work was done according to plan. When I asked Junior or his team about the process, they clearly articulated why they were doing something and then, the process in which they would solve the problem. Basic, easy to understand terms -- human to human. Just based on the questions you'll ask them, they will demonstrate their knowledge and capabilities of painting. Junior and his team are not allergic to work, their due diligence is impressive. They will take all the care and necessary steps to ensure your paint job is like one that they would provide to their own family. Our project was extremely difficult as painting had been neglected, many of the work prior to painting included flashing replacement, dry rot wood repair and even one fun hurdle, painting a large side wall that was on the other side of a fence in which the neighbor has left on an extensive vacation. Despite all the hurdles thrown at them, they completed all the work happily and without complaints. Another key fact is respect. They treated my mom (it was her home), with such great respect like she was their own grandmother. Furthermore, my mom is a neat freak and they protected everything -- no dust, no paint chips, no splatters anywhere. The one thing I seek in all contractors is the ability to empathize with their customers. junior and his team has this in spades. They are not only there to do a phenomenal job, they genuinely care about their customers -- kind, empathetic, respectful. Mendez Professional Painting is the only company I'll use for a long time.
