My 2024 resolution was to improve my golf game. I was a 20 handicap. I play an average of 2 rounds per week. I bought a lesson package and my Coach Andrew Loughrin proceeded to resolve my issues: slice, chunk, no weight transfer, etc. Being a lefty player, many coaches have a hard time providing appropriate instructions but not Andrew. He seamlessly worked the computer swing clips and allowed me to visualize the parts of my swing that needed attention. He provided great drills and encouraged me to practice (LOL). The GolfTec app provides a summary and clips of the session as well. Andrew's instructions finally clicked together, few months into it, I now have a 16 handicap!!!! Marcus was great. From the signing up to the instruction. He worked with my skillset (or lack thereof) and didn't try to have me do things my body just won't do. This was my second set of lessons with Marcus. Unfortunately, after only one lesson of the ten I just purchased, I got a call from the Regional Manager telling me Marcus no longer worked for the company. I could only guess he got fired because I just had a lesson with Marcus that very morning and he never said anything. I also had other lessons booked with him in the future. I asked the Regional Manager about a refund and he said that I could get a refund since it was within the 30 day window of purchasing the 10 lesson package. When I was told what my refund would be, in was far less than I expected, since I only took 1 lesson. They said the way they worked their refunds was based on time, not number of lessons. Which is absurd to me. So, if after 29 days, I had not taken any lessons, I would not be refunded all of my initial payment. On the flipside, if I had taken 9 lessons in those 29 days, I would have been refunded the same amount as if I had taken zero lessons. I brought this scenario up to both the manager at the Pleasanton store (who was not friendly or helpful at all) and the Regional Manager (who was more friendly and more helpful) and they both agreed this would be the case. They also told me that there would be no way someone could take that many lessons in that short of time because of the way their scheduling works. I also explained that my first lesson was cancelled by Marcus and therefore I was shorted one lesson in that 29 day period. So, I should be compensated for that. They did not agree and went back the fact that there refund policy is based on time, and not lessons. This is a horrible policy that only benefits the company. So, while the lessons may be beneficial, beware of the company policies. There are tons of great golf instructors out there that will treat you fairly and won't mislead you. Also, please note that the lessons are based on 30 minute lessons, not 60 minutes. It's hard to get anything accomplished in 3o minutes so you end up using two lesson credits if you want an hour lesson. So my 10 30-minute lessons was really 5 60-minute lessons. This makes the cost of the package not worth it, in my opinion. read more

GOLFTEC lesson has improve my game to the next level. I am very excited and happy with my progress. Marcus my instructor has work with me in multiple areas of my game to help me shoot a lower score. I still have to put in the work to get better but now I have the experience and knowledge to get better. Mark is a excellent fitter and look at how to improve on my golf equipment so they fit me. Andrew is an awesome instructor and I highly recommend him and the GOLFTEC Pleasanton location. I'm late middle age and have played since a teenager but not well. I would have some good shots but lots of bad shots and did not really have a mental plan for what a swing should be. I was debating between going to a local golf course pro, or trying GOLFTEC. I decided to try this as I thought the technology would help. I signed up for the initial evaluation and though not intended to be a lesson, Andrew spotted some fundamental errors in my weight that instantly improved my game and I signed up for a series of lessons. I have made great progress, I feel like I know exactly how I should golf, even if I can't do it correctly on every shot. The dual angle video (front/side), side by side comparisons of my good/bad swings (and mine vs. pros), allowed me to clearly see (vs simply being told) what I was doing and what I should be doing differently. I have been going to Golftec for awhile now. When I first showed up, I thought I had a good golf swing and I just didn't score well. After seeing my swing on video and the technical numbers to back it up, it was quite an eye opener, Video does not lie! Since then I have had my first Hole in One, play much better and I get complements on my golf swing, major difference! Last month I was fitted for a new driver & 3 wood. I always thought I needed standard length clubs, I paid for a fitting at another place and they didn't identify that. They don't push any brands they fit you with the club that works best for your swing. Today I got fitted for new irons, I can't wait to play golf with them. The staff is great, and the shop is very cool with all the new Tech, I'm hoping they open their 4th hitting bay soon. I love to play golf, and golf is much more fun when you score well. My lesson plan at GOLFTEC has made a dramatic difference in my game. I was getting stuck with scores in the 90's, and inconsistency on the course. I have seen a marked improvement of almost 10 strokes since the coaching. I picked up the game of golf approximately 6 months ago with nothing more than YouTube tutorials and a brief explanation from my dad on swing thoughts. After a few months of giing to the driving range my dad and I ventured into Golfsmith Pleasanton to purchase some clubs and they were offering a free demonstration of how GolfTec worked. After a brief discussion on how much time we had to kill, I went ahead and opted for the demonstration. Dane Olah was the instructor available at the time and I instantly felt that he was going to be the person to help my game(or lack there of). His passion for the game of golf instantly shined through and he had me excited for what the possibilities could be. He hooked me up to the sensors and briefly explained how Golftec's system worked. As soon as he explained that every lesson would be available to view online and that there was a free Golftec iPhone app I was hooked! Dane has taken my golf experience from frustratingly difficult, to fun and competitive in only 5 lessons. Now, noteworthy is that you have to go home and practice the drills and the swing thoughts you worked on. You have to invest in the time to put in the work outside of the "classroom" wether it be at the range or on course. I could honestly go on for hours about how effective the Golftec method is to MY improvement in golf. But ultimately if you want to get better at golf, or even just wanna start playing golf I truly feel that Golftec offers an amazing training method. Got a Swing Analysis from my girlfriend for my birthday so I called to set up an appointment on a weekday. The instructors are excellent in support and customer service. I've never received such prompt attention to detail on my golf game. I was having some hiccups with my follow through and instead of making me feel like I'm an idiot they approached my frustration with patience and professionalism. Wow! I'm so glad I did this. I've been playing golf for about five years and never had a formal lesson. I was a little nervous to have a professional evaluate me because I know I do so many things wrong. But I guess that's kind of the point. I had my swing analysis done today and Anthony was wonderful. I was so excited to try out what he taught me I immediately left my lesson and went to the driving range in Livermore. Just from one session he corrected my swing, how I hold the club, the position of my feet, the bend (or shall I say lack there of) of my knees, my arms, Everything!! When I got to the range I took out my 7-iron, the club we worked on today in my lesson. OMG!!! I'm hitting it straight every time!!!!!! (Well ok there were a couple that I shanked but literally out of over 200 balls I shanked only 4 or 5). My distance was consistent. ONE EVALUATION! I'm beyond excited!! If anyone is on the fence about doing this it's a MUST! I can't wait for my official lesson next week. I'm literally over the moon! I haven't been this excited about golf EVER! Nice studio, definitely. Unfortunately, no front staff on a weekend makes it seem like they're not really interested in helping anyone other than pre-booked lessons. I was interested in club repair but also custom club fittings. They don't offer the former (that's okay - I just didn't know) but they had no time to even discuss the latter. If the staff don't have enough time to help walk-ins on a Saturday, then they need better staffing. That's a problem. "I can't talk because I have a lesson" should be "let me find someone who's available." I couldn't even ask if someone was available to talk about fittings! Great instructors and a good system for those who want a detailed breakdown on improving your golf game.

This place sucks! Despite the fact that it's an indoor golf training facility that has nice equipment, the teaching quality has been horrible. My daughter paid $50 for a lesson with a package deal, but she barely improved her game after taking lessons for a few months. The place is so poorly run by their manager Andrew that I heard many students and even a few coaches had to leave for other places. If you ever talk to them, they never see you eye-to-eye and are always busy with their phones or computer. I will never recommend this place for golf lessons to anyone. Spend more money and go somewhere else for higher-quality lessons! read more
