Honestly I rarely write a negative review but my goodness this was the worst shopping experience. Don't ask for Ernie. My husband wanted a whole set. He didn't make a fitting appointment because when we called on the phone they said let's just watch him swing and see if he needs an extension on his club or if he needs custom clubs. Walked up to the counter and the gentleman barely looked up from his computer and it was clear we were inconveniencing him. He told us yeah book a fitting online and then come back. I said I talked to someone on the phone and they said to just come in. He said well you can look at clubs. He barely looked up. Honestly Ernie had the worst customer service whatever he was looking at on his computer was more important and it was so disappointing. read more

After a nice greeting at entry we were escorted to the golf bag area where the greeter told us "this nice bald gentleman can help you", just then the bald gentleman turned his back on us and walked away, we were digging through the bags trying to find what we wanted on our own then had ask someone from another department to help us, with no luck. We came into the store today to check prices for a service. My husband got fitted with his brother last week and wanted to make some changes to his current set of clubs. We walk up and the man at the service desk asks if we need anything. My husband proceeds to tell him what he would like done. He looks at my husband and asks, "how tall are you, 5'10" my husband replies "6 foot" he rolls his eyes, cocks his head and says "5'11?" Basically challenging my husband on his height. My husband says "sure" at that point, just to end the conversation. Then the man proceeds to tell him that he should get fitted there, etc. and then ends with "but I mean, do what you want to do." Suggestions are fine, but his approach was terrible. From the condescending tone to the rolling of his eyes and cocking of his head. Probably the worst customer service I've ever gotten. We came here to pay you for a service, and instead you mock my husband and act as if we're an inconvenience for you. If I ever come here again and see him I'm immediately walking out. He was immensely rude, and that was one of the worst customer service experiences I've had anywhere. read more

I have been to Golf Galaxy a few times the past 30 days always during the week. Finding help is always nearby unless they find you first. Staff is knowledgeable and they have helped me find new golf shoes, gloves and re-grip by driver. Prices are very competitive from what I can see. I will return to have the rest of my irons re-gripped shortly. read more

My husband was a bit disappointed in the place, we walked in to realize that it was just a part of Dicks Sporting goods, and not it's own little shop. We walked in and weren't greeted, although there was someone standing right by the door. It felt like an after thought, the "golf galaxy" was just a small corner of the store. The prices seemed pretty high for what it was, the savior was how great of deals Dicks Sporting was having on their gold clothes and such. I would say it's a hit or a miss, really on your perspective on how much your willing to spend. For instance, a Titleist bag that was being sold for 200$ in store we found back home for 40$. I would recommend doing research on what you're looking for, I believe I saw a sign that was talking about price matching - which might make it worth something for someone. read more

I went in to buy a 3-wood Ping or Taylormade. Received NO help there. I went to the back and asked a guy about options on the Ping & Taylormade. He was no help and it felt like I was bothering him! No customer service there! Maybe because I was a female. Anyway the place was not busy & you would think they would be more helpful in making sales! So I drove over to Golf Mart, WOW, what an amazing difference in customer service. Ramon was very helpful and I ended up buying a Ping 3-Wood. Golf galaxy used to be a reputable place to have your clubs fixed or even reshafted.. i took my clubs there 3 weeks ago. Told them I wanted my clubs a 1/2 in. over standard length with a swing weight of D3... what i got was one and a half inch over length and a D6 swing weight.. i take them back for the to correct the issue and they wanted to charge me again to fix the screw up.. as far as I'm concerned, these guys (including Dicks showing goods) are liars and thieves and should never be trusted read more

Went in today to see phil for a club fitting and took a way a ton from this experience phil is very knowledgeable and no bs straight forward guy. I went into the Dublin location. I was the only person in the store other than employees. I walked up to the golf counter, the fitting room was open. I asked the person at the counter if I could make an appointment for a fitting. He told me to do it online. I stood at the counter and went online and discovered times were open all day. At that point the person told me they were under staffed and pretty busy. I looked around, still no one else in the store! At that point, fed up, I walked out of the store. I called Kepler's golf in Walnut Creek and got a fitting right away. So, I guess I'm trying to say this will be the last time I ever set foot in a Golf Galaxy!! Thanks for the service..... read more

This Golf Galaxy is the worst. The so called professional let my son hit for 30 minutes and then he wanted to charge us when there was no one else around. Terrible experience... I've been there twice now and both times the workers there are extremely rude. Im looking at a driver I want to buy and one of the workers comes up to me and say are you gonna look all day or are you going to buy? I shrugged it off and asked to test out the driver, 2 mins into me trying out the driver he walks in the swing room and goes "wow who woulda thought you actually know how to swing". When I walked in I saw a total of 2 employees, who were doing some inventory and was not greeted which is okay. Once I had a question I went to them and asked, they were not able to answer because it was a pricing related question and only the manager was able to answer, which again is okay. (so far 5 stars) Once they directed me to the manager who was at the check out counter, I stood there for over 5 minutes while he was having a casual non-golf related conversation with another customer ( I assume his buddy) Mind you I am sitting there with a $400 club in my hand and he seemed not to care at all for my business. I got frustrated and walked away. I went to one of the gentlemen who were doing inventory and he was of great help with some other questions I had. They have a nice Inventory and the two guys working there were nice too. That manager needs to retire. read more

This was the absolute worst experience. For my husband's first Father's Day we showed up for his surprise appointment I booked for him in addition to a plan to buy him new golf clubs. When we arrived the first person who greeted us had no idea we had an appointment even though I received confirmation through online booking after speaking with another employee on the phone about it. The employees then proceeded to argue with each other in front of customers making the environment hostile & extremely uncomfortable. The next employee then proceeded to reluctantly "help us." We were met with attitude & a suggestion to not get the fitting done, so we did not. When taking a look at my husbands current golf club he was quite rude about how old it was & kept making condescending comments about golf being an expensive hobby as if he knew our finances. The entire interaction was completely rude & uncomfortable & I really regret ever trying to take my husband here as a surprise for his first Father's Day. Disappointed is an understatement I cannot believe how terrible it went I felt so bad. I even told the employee that it was his first Father's Day & this was a surprise as i held our newborn baby hoping he would be more friendly & professional & maybe even at least wish him a happy first Father's Day but he did not. I specifically chose this location because I thought the store looked nice & that we would have a good customer service experience but I was wrong. The employee also stated he would put us on a list and call us the following week when the new order came in for the golf set we were looking for & specifically said he would call whether or not it came in to update us & we never heard from him again. read more

I went to Golf Galaxy inside Dick Sports trying to test Calloway epic flash 3 hybrid at 2pm today, was told by the Asian employee saying the hitting bay is closed. While I was looking at other stuff and noticed that father and son were allowed to test set of irons. This is ridiculous, no wonder their average review is 2 star, I would give them 0 if I have a choice for discriminating customers. I won't buy anything here in this store, I think the store management should improve on this. read more

Worse customer service since Golf Galaxy is part of Dick's. The hitting stalls are are completely dark and never open to customers to try out clubs. The employees are pretending to be busy but never actually helping any customers. We spent thousands of dollars for golf equipment from the old location in Pleasanton because of their good customer service and 8 hitting stalls for customers trying out new clubs. This new location is very disappointing. Definitely will not buy any equipment from this store. read more

I brought my grandson's broken 9 iron and 3 irons that the heads have separated in to be fixed. I can't believe the outstanding service I have had. The three gentlemen who have worked with me were Frank, Phil, and Terry. I have been treated like royalty by these gentlemen. They found the right shaft for the 9 iron; they fixed the heads on the irons and did so with graciousness and kindness. They were professional but delightful humorous with smiles and kindness. I don't normally praise a business like this, but this was beyond any expectation of customer service. Honestly, I think they should set up a business of training others how to serve customers. As an added note, the young lady at the check out counter was also outstanding. Even remembered my name. I can't remember any other business where I have been treated with such kindness. If I could give them a 10 I would. Its service like this that will bring me back for sales, for repairs, and even just to say hi.Thanks to a really great group. read more

My husband and I are very disappointed, we regularly take a trip here to buy various things for golf as we live in a rural community and have nothing near us and we both golf competitively in leagues every week. We shopped during the "pandemic" when they reopened their doors. Now I might add, we live in a town that never had a case, masks are not mandatory, it's been a choice. When we walked up to the golf galaxy doors, not one time did it say masks were mandatory or recommended as we would have had no problem to put them on. When we went in no one welcomed us, everybody stared at us and followed us around the store yet did not ask us if we needed help except the golf pro guy- he was very nice. I had to ask for the dressing room to be opened as she ignored me 3x before rolling her eyes at me. Then as we approached to pay, the kid at the cash register in the golf section was unremarkably rude to us! I was spending $800! while we were paying, he very passive aggressively told us that he was "risking his life for us and being forced to work while he would rather be on unemployment. " I tried to relate as i have been on the frontlines the entire time... not just 4 days. Not once did he say anything nice to us! Then as we were leaving he said he would refuse service to us next time! All because no one, NOT ONE PERSON IN THAT ENTIRE STORE said "hey I would appreciate a mask" or if it made him that uncomfortable he could have had someone who didn't mind come ring us up. Not treat us like crap! The WORST customer service I've ever encountered. If It was mandated it needs to be posted for further confusion. We will be taking our business elsewhere from now on because of this. read more

Terrible experience with a fitting appointment, the equipment stock and presentation at the store seemed to be very comprehensive and easy to navigate through. I scheduled a fitting 5 days out, after asking and confirming what time worked best for the fitter (Troy I believe), as my schedule is flexible. The fitting price of $49.99 was acceptable since I wanted a set that would work for me, and it would be deducted from the set purchase. Showed up 15 minutes early and talked to another employee who said that there was a scheduling change and they expected my fitter to be in shortly, since the employee I talked to was overdue to take a lunch. An hour and change later, fitter is still not in with no phone calls to either myself or the store, and the other employee is visibly annoyed. I left a note with my contact details for the fitter to reschedule. No contact in over a week and half, so I went down to Golf Mart and happily dropped $1600 on a new set of custom fit clubs, and they had no cost for a fitting!! read more
