Our "Outfitter" was Abby, an experienced runner, who made us feel comfortable through the entire process. She communicated through her words and manner that she wanted the best shoe for my wife. In addition to the 3D scanner, the pressure mapping mat was a low pressure way to direct the shoe selection process. We left with shoes that my wife felt comfortable wearing and pleased with the fit. Fleet Feet is a chain and offers a rewards program. Given the price of new shoes, it's easy to reach the first reward tier. The store itself is clean, small, organized, and an efficient use of the space. The selection is limited, but of good quality. In addition to running shoes, the store offers Garmin watches, insoles, running hats, shoe laces, energy gels, running shorts and tops, and the like. He showed me some different brands and styles and I was able to take them for a spin in the parking lot. Marc has been there for a long time and he knows his stuff. He knows the history of each brand and he will tell you which one is the best among them. He is a bit on the quiet side, so you have to ask your questions. I also like that he took my mongoose in and gave it a tune up. I bought that bmx Mongoose from Fb marketplace for $30. It was in rough shape and he tuned it up and got her moving nicely. I settled on the cannondale and he put together the medium frame. I'm at the tall end of the small frame and just felt more comfortable on the medium frame. It was a great experience and I will go back to the shop again when I need bicycle supplies. I'm always in favor of supporting the local guy. "Your website mentions that the buyer will not be financially responsible for returning damaged merchandise... I do not feel that I should be financially responsible for returning the used pair of [Doc Martens] because they were damaged on arrival." Their gaslighting response? "They are not damaged or used. That kind of leather creases and scratches just jostling around in a shipment box from the vendor or from a single person trying them on in store. I can definitely make you a shipping label for them as it will probably be cheaper, but the cost will come out of the return total." Jostling in a box does not cause creases. I've never left creases in a shoe from trying them one time either. Do you know how much abuse a Doc Marten has to incur for the soles to be scratched??? or even for this hard leather to be creases? If I wanted to sell them, I couldn't have because of the condition they were in.
