Our "Outfitter" was Abby, an experienced runner, who made us feel comfortable through the entire process. She communicated through her words and manner that she wanted the best shoe for my wife. In addition to the 3D scanner, the pressure mapping mat was a low pressure way to direct the shoe selection process. We left with shoes that my wife felt comfortable wearing and pleased with the fit. Fleet Feet is a chain and offers a rewards program. Given the price of new shoes, it's easy to reach the first reward tier. The store itself is clean, small, organized, and an efficient use of the space. The selection is limited, but of good quality. In addition to running shoes, the store offers Garmin watches, insoles, running hats, shoe laces, energy gels, running shorts and tops, and the like. We parked on Independence Lane, just a few steps from the entrance. I have no hesitation returning to go through the Fit ID process and receive good service.

He showed me some different brands and styles and I was able to take them for a spin in the parking lot. Marc has been there for a long time and he knows his stuff. He knows the history of each brand and he will tell you which one is the best among them. He is a bit on the quiet side, so you have to ask your questions. I also like that he took my mongoose in and gave it a tune up. I bought that bmx Mongoose from Fb marketplace for $30. It was in rough shape and he tuned it up and got her moving nicely. I settled on the cannondale and he put together the medium frame. I'm at the tall end of the small frame and just felt more comfortable on the medium frame. It was a great experience and I will go back to the shop again when I need bicycle supplies. I'm always in favor of supporting the local guy. In Florida now and I got a new e-bike. I just wanted street tires and tannus armor installed. I called REI Orlando three weeks ago to check on service and they said no problem, they could do that. I called again yesterday and I was told the same thing. They could do the service and to just bring it in and the shop opens at 9am. I brought the bike in at 9:15 and was told the bike shop was open but the guy that does the service didn't come in until 11. What? How is the bike shop open with no service?? I filled out the paperwork and was quoted 45 dollars for the tire swap. I left the bike and was told the shop guy would call at 11 regarding the work. I got a call at 11:05 and was quoted 270 dollars! I was also told "we don't work on e-bikes that we don't sell in the store but I will do it just this time." According to REI's corporate site this is not true. I was stuck at this point so I agreed on the price. I was told one hour and I would get an email saying to come get it. 2.5 hours later I finally called. The person on the phone went back to check on the bike and then came back on and said "what bike is it?" I said the e-bike getting the tires changed. He said, "oh the motorcycle!?" I said, no, it is an e-bike with pedals and no registration. He said. Ok the MOTORCYCLE is ready. I went into the shop and the bike shop guy seemed upset. He said, 'don't bring it back. I won't work on it again." Okay, sorry for spending money at your store. He then said "this is a moped and his bike stand could barely lift it." Oh please. I do not feel that I should be financially responsible for returning the used pair of [Doc Martens] because they were damaged on arrival." Their gaslighting response? "They are not damaged or used. That kind of leather creases and scratches just jostling around in a shipment box from the vendor or from a single person trying them on in store. I can definitely make you a shipping label for them as it will probably be cheaper, but the cost will come out of the return total." Jostling in a box does not cause creases. I've never left creases in a shoe from trying them one time either. Do you know how much abuse a Doc Marten has to incur for the soles to be scratched??? or even for this hard leather to be creases?
