Last Christmas, my family gifted me cash for me to purchase a dash cam with installation labor for…read moremy car. If you haven't tried using Yelp to acquire quotes from businesses such as dash cam and installation retailers, it's pretty convenient and many service type businesses will reach out to you. After sending an inquiry about purchasing and installation of a dash cam, one of the first businesses that reached out to me was DV Audio and Customs. Besides DV Audio, several other businesses contacted me and I immediately decided on DV Audio because of the professionalism and thoroughness of Dennis and Paola. They answered several questions I posed to them and although I probably could have shopped around for a better deal, I decided to have DV Audio take care of my dash cam need solely based on the professionalism and customer service, but besides those much clamored for qualities, I got even more once the job was completed. DV Audio is located in Escondido specifically within a small business park where other service type businesses are located. I don't remember if there were other tenants, but as soon as you turn into Wineridge, you'll turn right into the first driveway and you'll see the DV Audio signage. The exact address for DV Audio is 2080 Wineridge Suite D. The shop can be found by taking 15 North or 15 South exiting off of Valley Parkway and heading west. There are two parts of Escondido where car dealers are located, which is the east side and west side of Escondido. DV Audio is located close to the west side of car dealers. I received great customer service from Paola from start to finish for my dash cam project. Prior to setting up an appointment with DV Audio to have them install a dash cam, I stopped by their shop to ask them questions. The primary thing I wanted to ask them was whether they price match because at the time, Amazon Prime Days were going on. My intent was to buy a dash cam on Amazon and then have DV Audio install it. When I asked about price matching, Paola informed me that they do price match on a specific Red Tiger dash cam, but not on the higher end Red Tiger dash cam. She also informed me that it would be better if I purchased the dash cam from her because then it would be under warranty, which was great information to have. Another reason to have work done by DV Audio is that their business is military veteran friendly and they do military discounts for Army Veterans like me. If you pay cash for the work they do, there is a cash discount and who doesn't like savings. Besides all of these positives, they are also efficient and respect people's time. I dropped off my car at my appointment time of 9:30am and I was notified that they were done at 10:44am. When their technician was installing my dash cam, they found rust build up on the inside side wall of my dash, which I would have never found if not for their technician letting me know. This information was invaluable because I'm going to have the car dealer check it out. Lastly, Paolo provided more quality customer service after the work was completed by spending time with me going over the features of the dash cam. If you're ever in the market for a dash cam and installation of that dash cam, before you purchase, I highly recommend you contact or visit DV Audio and Customs to purchase the dash cam and have them do the installation. Customer service, expediency, and thoroughness from start to finish is why they should be the only shop you visit for dash cam service. I also noticed vintage cars in their shop, so if you own vintage cars, you might want to check what type of service they do for vintage cars.

Then a tool bag bounced off of a truck and into my bike leaving my stranded on the side of the road (jammed into the belt). So I hit redial, someone answers again, and then someone came and rescued me (that someone is "Legrand" - a super nice guy). In the end, they repaired my bike, walked me through the insurance process, and replaced my handlebars after the repairs. But here's the thing; i got the bike back in better condition than it was before the accident. I had mis-thread an exhaust bolt, they fixed it. I dropped off the bike filthy, it came back clean with the windshield looking brand new, and countless other little things (they integrated the helmet lock into the master cylinder on the handlebar for example). So yeah, big fan of this business. Love it when a business loves what they do and do a good job of it.

There was no upselling whatsoever, rather just simple honest approach. I paid to upgrade to AGM batteries when I originally purchased the cart. However, they had been…read morerepeatedly replaced while under warranty. There should not be two sets of 8 batteries (16 in total) go bad, in less than 3 years. Now that I am past the magical two-year warranty, the most recent installations are not covered in any way. I do not understand how a battery that you sell with a two year warranty, keep replacing them, and if it then fails on the 23rd month, the new battery installed only has a one-month warranty? While following the charging recommendations from the dealer, I ONLY have 300 hours and 2055 miles on the cart. As a disabled veteran, it is only used to ferry my dog back and forth to the neighborhood dog park. It is not driven fast or tweaked past 19 mph (25 or higher like others). When I called the not so customer service, the guy only became condescending, telling me to re-read the warranty, and that cars are not the same as golf carts. There must be some underlying reason why so many AGM batteries are continuing to go bad. When I paid for the expensive upgrade to AGM, they were touted as better and longer lasting that lead-acid, especially when I described how I use a golf cart. However, the underlying issue of why the AGMs keep going bad was only skipped over to tell me to now upgrade to lithium.

When Sea-doo stopped making their jet boats, I couldn't find anyone other than where I bought the boat (2.5 hr drive from my home) to fix or maintain my Sea-doo 150 Speedster jet boat. Due to multiple circumstances, the boat unfortunately sat trailered and unused for the past 7 years, and definitely needed a refresh & couple of replacement parts before it was ready for the river again. So, no surprise I was SUPER excited and thankful to find Arteen and his shop, (especially only being a quick drive into Escondido)! He is very knowledgeable and easy to communicate with. This guy knows his stuff! So, if you're stuck with a Sea-doo jet boat, or have jet skis / waverunners that need some work or maintenance, I HIGHLY recommend contacting Arteen at Havasu Powersports! They take tremendous pride in their work and customer hospitality and do the job the right way. I took my machine here after another shop botched an install. I first stated by calling and visiting local shops around San Diego getting a few quotes. I spoke with David over the phone and he did a great job by asking me questions about my intentions for re powering. The entire transaction from start to finish was great. David was very helpful by being detailed about the break-in period and following up a day later after getting my boat on the water. Thank you David and everyone over at Sea Witch Marine.
