I was very pleasantly surprised at the customer service I received. I went in to get fitted for a new new driver. The sales associate there, Scott, could not have been more patient or knowledgeable. As a left-handed woman player, there are fewer options for me than most golfers, but he absolutely found everything for me to try and changed the lofts on certain clubs for me to try, etc. He was not pushy at all, he genuinely wanted to find me the best club, and spent a lot of time helping me without making me feel rushed. After shopping at other Golf stores that are not attentive to women, this was really refreshing, and I have told all my friends about my experience there. I have always had great experiences at Golf & Ski Warehouse in Hudson. They have an excellent arrangement here. The shop itself is loaded with everything you could want as a golf enthusiast. From clubs to bags to carts to footwear and clothing they have a great variety and competitive prices. Their stock of used clubs is always bound to have a way to get you a new club or set of clubs at a great rate. Additionally, their staff really seem to genuinely care to provide great service consistently. If you need clubs re-gripped or adjusted they don't hesitate to take care of your needs. Sometimes there is a wait and others they will do it while you wait. For example, I had a putter and wedge re-gripped in the time it took me to do a quick lap around the store. Fantastic for sure. I cant say enough about this location and the experiences I have time and time again. 10/10 People seem to only leave a review when they have a less than perfect experience. Which I understand. However, I have been here several times over the last few years and have yet to have anything but a great trip. They help countless customers every season and are still in business for a reason. Background: trading in TaylorMade p790s and SIM2 Driver, 3W and Hybrid I really struggled with. Supposedly, they were 'forgiving' - maybe they are for very good golfers - but not me. I'd researched this extensively, three or four iron sets came up as the most forgiving: G425s, Stealth, M4s, and Rogue. My goal was (a) hit a 7 from those sets and (2) trade in my clubs for the new hopefully more forgiving clubs. I thought this what golf stores DO...some do, some don't. Went to Golf Galaxy in Reading last week and asked if I could do this i.e. try a Rogue, G425, SIM2 Max 7-iron and, assuming I hit ONE OK, I'd trade in my clubs for a new set. I want stock, no fitting. I was immediately told by the guy at Golf Galaxy they DON'T do that. "you can't just come in and hit a bunch of balls, trying every club in the store, expect shafts and heads swapped out, etc... we aren't allowed to do that." I ended up leaving after 15-minutes of him saying they had those sets in stock, but I 'can't just hit a bunch of clubs' I had to do their $100 'fitting'. No thanks - I left. The next day I went to Golf and Ski Warehouse in Hudson NH. Met with a guy (I wish I knew his name) and explained the same objective to HIM that I explained to the Golf Galaxy guy. He couldn't have been more accommodating - he agreed the P790s were great clubs, but not that easy to hit AND the clubs I wanted to try were far more forgiving AND gave me two others to try. Gave me a Ping, Stealth, SIM2, and M4 7-iron. Then mentioned he had a new Titlist in - supposedly forgiving - "want to try that?" - Sure. Bucket of balls. I was able to mix up the irons - hit 5-6 shots not knowing which was which - narrowed it down to two before one was the CLEAR winner - even mis-hits were acceptable. I eventually settled on the M4's which I LOVE. I have literally yet to hit a bad shot with them. I then did the same with driver, 3W and hybrid. They let me try the brands I'd heard were 'forgiving' and added another couple they also found to be more forgiving. Traded out woods & driver too. MUCH happier playing now. They are TOTALLY honest too. They gave me one of the higher trade-in values I'd seen, which was about half of what I could get selling them privately. HOWEVER, they told me "we can only give you $490 for the P790s - you can get more selling them on your own" which I already knew but didn't want the hassle, and appreciated their honesty. Also spent about 15 minutes with someone else going over push-carts and bags - my next purchase there. FANTASTIC store - I won't go anywhere else. read more

A little irritated that a golf and ski shop has no staff on hand with ski knowledge at the time I went in the store. They were unable to tell me if my ski bindings were out of date for them to service. It basically came down to a lookup in the book to check on it. I left the skis in the morning and it wasn't until the end of the day that they got back to me and said they couldn't service the skis. I work near the shop so a phone call earlier in the day would have saved me from going all the way home and then having to return before the shop closed. Oh, and they charged me for the service before they knew if they could service them so I had to have them issue a refund. I should say that everyone in the store was pleasant enough. It seems that every time I go into this store, there's no urgency to give assistance even though the store has plenty of staff. read more

I have to disagree with the reviews of this place. Went there today for my girlfriend to get new irons. We had to follow a staff member around the store to get some attention and note the place was not busy. there were staff members standing around talking, one texting on his cell phone. After testing out the Cobra irons, she decided to buy them, we brought the 2 clubs she tested to the counter and told the sales clerk, she would like to buy them, his response was you need to buy the whole set, like we did not know that. He then stated, I am not sure we have them in stock and stated he would check, he came back and stated they do not have them in stock and he would offer 10% off the floor model. Her response after their complete dis-interest in helping her or making the sale was no thanks. The staff need customer skills as they presented none today read more

Nowhere in MA can you find a golf store with a driving range in the back! SUch a plus! We had the BEST customer service. Everyone was very nice, helpful and patient. We were in the market for some new boards for our upcoming boarding trip to Vail. They answered all of our questions and showed us what we needed. I can't wait to return in the late Winter/early Spring so I add some new clubs to my collection. This is a must place to visit if you need boards/boots and clubs. :) read more

Love this store. In the last year I have purchased a new set of TaylorMade irons and fairway woods. No pressure sales with a nice range out the back where you can "test drive" their demos. Indoor simulators for club fittings with knowledgeable sales reps. Pricing is good. Join their rewards program and get some discounts over time. I just saved $40 on a new TaylorMade RBZ 5 wood. Nice deal. I also picked up the RBZ 3 wood and 4 Rescue. Going back before the season starts to "test drive" the TM R11s and RBZ drivers. Update: I went with the RBZ Tour driver. Last place I expected to find Dalbello K2 Fusion ID boots. Not only did they bring these boots here from another store, but they also sold them to me for $60 less then they were listed online. I had searched all over the internet and other ski shops in the area, bought these here for $100 less then I could find them anywhere else. The boot fitter was knowledgeable and spent the time to get me dialed in. The best was when they gave me there "allstar card" at no charge, which gave me a 40% discount on midweek tickets at Mt Sunapee and a 3-1/2 % in store credit toward future purchases. Hopefully they continue to carry the high end ski equipment...this is a gold mine!! read more

Had a really terrible experience here. I ordered new grips for my clubs. The guy who helped me with my order was great. He assisted me in picking out my new grip and was very pleasant. They could be ready for me in three days, but I told them no rush since I couldn't get back for a week at least. I arrived a week later to pick up my clubs. A guy went in back to pick them up and came out with my 13 clubs; 12 are gripped and he is holding 2 other grips in his hand. He tells me that they are out of the grips on my 12 clubs but I could have either of the 2, neither of which match the ones on my clubs, on number 13. He is not apologetic at all or really the least bit concerned with the fact that I will now have mismatched grips. I express my concern to him. I get a shoulder shrug and "well, we're out of them. I would have to order them." I explain that i need to play with them in 2 days. I also ask why they didn't call to let me know or ask me my preference. Another shoulder shrug. I now notice that the grips on those 12 clubs don't look familiar and walked to the display where I picked out my new grip. I realize that I chose an entirely different grip. So I am now facing 12 grips that I did not order, with an option for a 13th that will not match the original order. When I show him what I ordered, he explained that they were out of those grips and would have to order them. I explain again that my clubs have been with them for a week. Why did I have to find this out when picking them up? Again with more of the non-caring shrugs. My son is standing next to me the entire time. I want to give this guy a jab/cross but I am trying to remain cool in front of my son. And while I do not want to go to jail for killing this punk, I also do not want to stroke out from anger. But I am pretty angry at this point. I took my clubs here because this is supposed to be a professional place with a golf course location. Rather, I got a clown and crap treatment. I suggest any serious or casual golfers, serious or casual skiers, all avoid this place. read more

I've been going to the Hudson store for several years, and had mixed results with the way employees have treated me. Customer service is hit and miss. The manager, Jamie, is very nice and responsive to customers. I think he is very customer-oriented. And many of the sales reps are also very nice, and very helpful. On the other hand, I have encountered several employees with unbelievable bad attitudes towards customers. I've experienced employees who have been inattentive, rude, and treated me very badly in various ways. For example, just recently, a heavyset guy at the front counter embarrassed me in front of other customers by making a sarcastic remark about a question I asked him. On the other hand, a couple of days ago, I had a really good experience there. I was helped by an employee nicknamed Cookie, who was excellent. He went out of his way to help me figure out the right driver to purchase. He spent a lot of time with me narrowing down the choices, and seemed genuinely concerned that I make the right choice and would be happy with my purchase. I'm buying a driver there because of the way he treated me. I think the manager has been slowly weeding out the jerks like the guy at the front desk I mentioned. But, it's the guys like Cookie who have kept me a customer at that store. read more

This place must not get paid to deliver any type of customer service. Need to replace a club and it's an hour and a half away. Went through the custom measurements at the Callaway center and wanted to replace the club or get the specs so I could order a new one. I was told they cannot order anything over the phone? Why on earth would someone need to be there in person for them to replace a club from the set I ordered from them? This is 2018 and people wonder why brick and mortar stores are failing. read more

I bought a NEW Taylor Made driver. The kid went in the back to get a head cover for it but came back saying they were out of head covers for Taylor Made. The kid was very matter of fact about it. I asked if they would sent me one and he said he would make a note...Ha! Anyway I called up the next day, asked for the manager and asked him to please get me a head cover for my NEW driver and maybe mail it?? Anyway 3 weeks layer and still no head cover! read more

I use to go here for all my golf supplies. Spent at least $500.00 a year. I recently bought a chipping iron. I tried it out and brought it back a few days later. The guy at the counter said he couldn't take it back because it was used. I told him I only had it for a few days. He said I would have to talk to the manager. After waiting 30 minutes for the manager he said the same. It has to be in new condition. It was. He said, sorry can't take it back, I can give you the used price back, more than half the price. He said he wouldn't be able to sell it. I told him how much I spend a year. He didn't care. So I'll be spending my money online from now on. read more

Great selection of equipment, however, staff was neither helpful nor friendly while shopping with my 20-something son for a driver. I don't think we were regarded as serious golfers, and we got much more attitude than assistance. read more
