They never showed up for a job, then couldn't give an ETA on when they would be able to get it done even though we had people waiting on site for them for hours already. You should literally use any other towing company beside this one. My steering pump died on my car and I couldn't drive it. They towed it and the shop noted the dent on intake. I called multiple times, left messages, never got a call back. I emailed the photos attached here, no response. I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau: "Thank you for taking the time to inform us of your experience with this business. Please make note of the case number above and refer to it in all future communications with BBB® regarding this matter. We regret to inform you that the Better Business Bureau has closed your complaint because we have not received a response from the business. If I could give 0 stars, I would!!!! This place is a scam and we are therefore pursing legal action due to their negligence, ignorance, and Failure to Exercise Due Care. They caused physical damage to the front bumper of the car puncturing it and ripping a piece off. We have already filed a police report and authorities have been notified of the violation of documenting ordinances in the state of Illinois. Illinois State Law says that: "When an authorized person improperly causes a motor vehicle to be removed, such person shall be liable to the owner or lessee of the vehicle for the cost of removal, transportation and storage, any damages resulting from the removal, transportation and storage, attorney's fee and court costs." We expect FULL reimbursement for the cost of the tow and any fees, as well as court costs and the cost of repairs for this damage caused by Failure to Exercise Due Care. They violated Illinois State Law and did not abide by rulemakings listed in TITLE 92: TRANSPORTATION CHAPTER III: ILLINOIS COMMERCE COMMISSION SUBCHAPTER d: RELOCATION TOWING PART 1710 RELOCATION TOWING. My boyfriend and neighbors cars were both unlawfully removed and relocated by Golf and Busse Towing from authorized Visitor's parking spots with the appropriate permits visible from the front windshield, as required by our apartment complex's lease. They denied such actions and were stupid enough not to realize that the heavy snowfall was in our favor, clearly showing that no snow had been wiped away from the windshields of either car to reveal said parking permits in clear view from the front windshield. They put the incorrect address on the tow receipt, as well as lied about the time at which both vehicles had been towed. read more

What was an unexpected nightmare of being stranded on the side of I-55 near Coal City ended up working wonderfully once we called Golf & Busse Towing. They did in 1 hour what our Roadside Assistance plan couldn't do in several hours - and for a lot less than our plan was going to charge us. (They are being fired today). Stay away from these crooks. Their tow driver incorrectly hooked up my car and it bent both tie rods, causing $900 of damage and a new alignment. They refuse to even open up an investigation and continue this cat and mouse game of who's the actual manager. I've been lied to multiple times and they refuse to take accountability or even objectively review the evidence of the issue. If you ever get a police ordered-tow (as I did), make sure it's not Golf & Busse. My well maintained car broke down unexpectedly as I was taking my daughter to work. When I called Golf & Busse Towing, I was treated with urgency and reassured that they could help me. Cindy was calm & made me feel like everything was going to be ok. The lead time for the tow truck to arrive was spot on - she said 15 min & it was 15 min!! We had a horrible experience with them recently where they Wrongly towed my husband's car at our apartment complex. They said there was no sticker in the car which was incorrect because he did have one. We have been living there for 5 years and one morning they just towed the car. Also the pictures that they took of the car before they towed it CLEARLY SHOWS THE STICKER IN THE WINDOW. Even after we told them that, they refused to give us the car and they kept giving us so many excuses. They wrongly towed the car and they still wanted us to pay to get the car back. The lady we talked to on the phone was extremely rude and didn't want to hear anything that we said. There are many cars that park in our lot on the weekend who don't even live there but yet they want to tow the ONE car that actually has a sticker and they live there. After reading some reviews it looks like they have towed many cars from apartment complex buildings for no reason. This place needs to be shut down!! They are just scamming people out of money and a horrible establishment. I am honestly thinking of suing. There license needs to be taken away. read more

Idk I'm in between with the place. They took care of me and gave me my car back as I left it. The wait though to get serviced was weird. They don't have someone there in the office at all times. You have to call so they send someone to unlock the office and take care of you. I found it kinda of weird, but hey times are tough I guess. The one person who I spoke with on the phone was super rude and not very nice. truck driver hit my car and convinced me not to get a police report because the "company would pay me for damages". Contacted the company, sent pictures and gave them the drivers information and they refused to pay me for damages and claimed they were existing. My daughter called Golf & Busse Towing because she was stuck in a ditch in a rural area during a snowstorm at 11:00 pm. The driver's side front tire was about to go into a river. She originally called State Farm Roadside Assitance but they were having difficulty locating a tow for her and told her to wait until 8 am the next day. Your driver #536 showed up to help her and even he got stuck!!! But he went and got a smaller truck. He came back and winched her out of the ditch. This took an extra trip out and more time on his part, but only charged her the original fee. He was very helpful, very friendly and understanding about a young woman stuck in the middle of the night. After he got her car out, he waited to make sure that she got back on the road and was able to drive out. A very kind gentlemen and we would highly recommend him and Golf & Busse Towing. After waiting forever for my supposed "roadside" assistance to arrive, I find out they aren't coming. I called Golf & Busse, as I have used them in the past with no issues. The woman on the phone was a little pissy (I will admit I was no peach either, but I am the customer too, and I wasn't rude to her, just frustrated in general with no tow and being stranded in the dead of night). I mentioned how my roadside didn't show and she says "WE DON'T WORK WITH ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE". I said "I didn't ask you to, I said they aren't coming", so I need a tow, to which she said "well, you'll need to pay it yourself", um really ? No kidding, no problem, I just want my dang car towed at this point! I didn't ask for it for free! DUH! Besides her, the truck arrived within TWELVE, YES, TWELVE, minutes!!!! Our shifter went out in our car during lunch so we called Midas looking for a towing company and they suggested another place that was expensive so we looked up other companies and found Golf & Busse Towing. They quoted us a great price and said they would be there within the hour 20 mins later Chris came and towed the car to Midas for repairs. He lifted the car with great respect to and from the point places. I will differentially use this company again for any of my towing needs. I had a very difficult complicated tow and Chris did an amazing job figuring out how to get my truck on his flatbed without damaging it since it had no back tire! He was professional and very knowledgeable on how to get this done! After hours dispatch is a real peach. Told me one rate if I were to come that day to pick up my car. And rate each day it stays in there. I went in next day and it magically went up 100 dollars. Called to ask her and she says " i bet you 100 bucks it wasn't me that you spoke to, all of our calls are recorded" when I challenged her to pull the phone calls up, she responded with "that's great the rules are up on the board". I know the situation is bad to begin with and you probably all think I'm writing a bad review cause I'm angry, but paying the fee is what I knew I deserved. I questioned the $100 increase in price and am treated like I'm wrong with bad customer service which is why they're getting this review. Jose the tow guy is really great tho. I asked to speak to the manager/owner who apologized that his employee have given me the wrong price and said "she made a mistake" but still required me to pay the higher price.
