I was driving home from another state and my car suddenly stopped working. Luckily I was on a major road in the city. I called my insurance road side assist and they claimed they would be out in 20 mins. 2 hours later we were still waiting. We called this place and Rich got us connected with a truck in about 30 mins. The driver was amazing. Got my car onto the flat bed and got it into my garage with a little help from us to push. He drove us home with the car and was friendly the whole way. He was a life saver!! They even offered to junk my car for me if need be. I will keep these guys in my phone just in case. I highly recommend. If you have to wait a little, it's still worth it. Our insurance tow driver never showed so this place was the right move. on the fifth of July 2022 a drunk guy crashed into my jeep wrangler which was parked and has taken me 6 years plus more to get it to my dream jeep. Northside Performance towing helped me out at no cost. today I called him to tow my jeep to my auto shop for repairs. Sadly he explained that I need a flat bed. Mainly due to a driver side rear broken axle, and the cost coming out of my wallet. I am a disable united states marines veteran. What a great guy. he helped me parked my jeep back where it was at no cost. I tried to hired him today and he was completely honest with me. I need a flat bed otherwise my jeep could be more damaged. I usually don't like to write reviews but I have to tell everyone about this towing company! Professional, on-time, and they know what they're doing. I called Matthew's towing, he came and could not figure out how to get me out of the sinkhole my car was stuck in! After he messed with it for almost an hour, he became frustrated and just left me standing there! So I went into my trusty iPhone, looked up towing on the north side, and what do you know? It's in their name! I figured it must be a good sign, so I asked how long it would take for them to arrive and the man who answered said because of traffic it might take up to an hour! At this point, my day already was ruined so I decided to wait. About a half hour later, the truck arrived! He analyzed my situation for about 10 seconds, and about 10 minutes later my car was out and I was on my way! I already locked their number in my phone! I forgot to mention... I called another towing company that I guess partners with Northside Performance. I was unable to get my car out of a parking spot due to the 4 inches of ice that it was parked on and the 25 degree angle that it was sitting on. I waited about 20 minutes for Butch to come, and as soon as he came, he was able to get my car out with no problem! I was so shaken up by the experience of not getting my car out of the parking spot, and Butch noticed that, so he took car of everything. He backed out my car and parked it on the side for me. Before he came, we talked on the phone about what happened and where I was located. He was EXTREMELY pleasant to deal with! He reassured me that it wouldn't cost anything over $100 and if he were to damage anything to my car while towing it out, he would cover 100% of it. I ended up spending $80 because he didn't have change for the $75 that it cost to tow my car out. Money well spent! read more

A friend randomly got me this towing company to help me with a flat tire during a snow storm. Greatest towing company I've dealt with! They were reasonable and so helpful. My flat tire ended up being flat too, and the guy ran back to the shop to get a air tank to refill my tire! I highly recommend these guys to anyone who needs roadside help. read more

My car was dead in on the side of the street scheduled for street cleaning. Don made sure he got there before 9am to ensure I wouldn't get a ticket on top on needing towing service. Since my battery was dead, he tried jumping my car. It worked and we let it run for about 5 minutes. He drove away and so did I, but my car stalled about 2 blocks later. I called him and he immediately turned around and towed my car. He didn't charge me an additional fee for a second service. He just added the difference between a jump and a tow/mileage. He gave me a ride to the auto shop and came in to talk to the mechanic. He then offered to give me a ride home or to work since he didn't have another call waiting. He dropped me off right at my office. He was very kind and thoughtful. Don made my very bad morning much, much better! read more

100% go with these guys. I was helped by a guy named Don. I was frantic on the side of the road and he was there to pick me up in literally 15 minutes flat. He was recommended to me but the place I get my tires from ( also a trustworthy car place) Anyways, don helped me on the side of the road to the point where I didn't even need an actual tow anymore. The temperature outside was in the negative temps and he very generously helped me when I was clueless . He could not have been more nice. In fact when I left the situation I thought of how refreshing it was how helpful and kind he was when usually people in Chicago are just out for your money. I needed a tow in the wee hours, and Butch came out himself to do the job, around 5:00am. He arrived promptly or even a few minutes early and kept in touch by cell once he was en route, letting me know immediately when he had delivered my car to the shop several miles away. Communication was good throughout the process, he was friendly, and even made a couple suggestions for starting the vehicle, although I had already tried those tricks, and it didn't seem like he upcharged me for it being a late-night call. Unfortunately, the car still hasn't been fixed after sitting for almost two months at the first shop, (Grace Auto) so I may need to have it towed again to a different garage, but at least I know I can count on Northside to get the job done in a professional manner. If I had to suggest anything as far as ways they could improve service, it's that some form of paperwork might be nice upon pickup, just so there's a record of the tow. Butch did say that a receipt could be prepared for mailing or dropoff if needed, but most places I've dealt with just offer them automatically. Anyway, as another reviewer stated, needing a tow sucks, but if you have no other choice, these guys will help make the best of a bad situation. read more
