I have been seeing Dr.Goldsmith for ear wax for many years. I had waited too long but he was still the same great doctor. He just said"what took you so long?" I didn't go to be entertained, however, his dry humor is a good distraction. I don't get the reviews below. He's a kind, super competent doctor. His personality is quiet and down to business. His humor dry and funny. He knows exactly what he's doing. Perhaps younger patients don't understand the older generations mannerisms but he's such a good guy. I would rather have a good doctor who was not there to make jokes and entertain me with his personality.. he just gets it done! read more

Dr. Goldsmith is a very competent Dr. He has given me Botox injections in my vocal cords for Spasmodic Dysphonia and his staff has always been very helpful & efficient. read more

I don't understand the terrible reviews. I recently went to see Dr. Goldsmith for a blocked ear and he quickly diagnosed the problem as built up earwax and use a tool and irrigation to clear the ear with little fuss or pain.I did not have to wait long and his staff was polite and efficient. He may not be the friendliest guy around, but who cares? He was professional and did the job. read more

If you don't mind a arrogant, obnoxious and rude Dr then he is for you. He is the worst doctor I have ever been to in my life and I've seen a lot. I only went in there to get help with my wax buildup since my ears get clogged easily. I couldn't get to the wax anymore. Ok enough with my gross stuff. We got there a little early and we were the only people in the waiting room. A nurse came in and took us to the exam room where we sat for 30 min for the doctor to show up. I don't know what was wrong with the waiting room. Their rooms are very tiny and with a broken back in 6 places I have to move around. Anyways back to the doctor. His first words out of his mouth were rude then I tried telling him why I was there but he started telling me everything that was wrong with me. From my clothes to my hair then my tooth to me being a smoker and so on. Every time I said an answer to his statement he would say. Guess you got your wish. I don't know what wish he was talking about but. After ten min of him making my ears bleed I got up and walked out. The nurses were to afraid to say anything. They just kept working on their computers. Wouldn't answer any of my questions. They ignored me like I was a ghost. Theirs more but oh well. Had a very bad experience. I went to go see Dr. Goldsmith at his new location on Greenville Ave. I had an ear issue and needed to get in somewhere quickly, which i was very nervous about with COVID going on. The worst communication skills ever. Can't decide if he's rude, sarcastic or arrogant. No matter how you look at it... not for us. Started with him for Stage 4 cancer diagnosis and quickly left his care. I've since met several people that were equally appalled with his demeanor. There are great options of ENTs in Dallas. I'm not one to do reviews,but this review is a must. Took my husband to this Dr Goldsmith and was horrified by his bedside manner. He was so arrogant and very sarcastic. Not sure what is deal was but the experience was horrible. My husband has really bad wax build up in his ears,but my husband also has a broken back and it makes it very hard to sit in their crappy chairs. As this Dr was taking wax out of his ears he really didn't care that was husband was in pain. And to boot told my husband he needs to see a dentist,when my husband told he has problem with lock jaw . The dr was ass. Never again . We ended up walking out. It's sad when Doctors forget how to have compassion. read more

Condescending, dismissive, combative, arrogant, disrespectful. Confusing, poor communicator. Just sits there smirking, won't make eye contact, limp handshake. You know the type. I will be going elsewhere for a second opinion. His attitude had me flustered to the point that I felt I wasn't welcomed or able to even discuss what ailments I was having. I'm honestly not sure ol Gary is all there actually. He might be a couple tissues short of a full box if you know what I mean. He tried to tell me that allergies dont cause sinus problems, which it dosnt take an ENT to know that isn't true, but he had his mind made up on me before he even walked in because he fancies himself the god of ENT apparently. The office staff was pleasant, nurse was very pleasant as well but who cares when you ultimately have to deal with this turd. I wouldn't let this clown put a band-aid on me. read more

The doctor is friendly, competent and thorough. Unfortunately he gets one star because his staff is completely rude and clueless. Which might explain why it's always so easy to get an appointment with him on short notice, despite the fact that he's a specialist in one of the busiest medical buildings in town. (Presbyterian at Walnut Hill Lane and Greenville). First, they have an audiologist lady that they'll insist upon having test your hearing (probably to see if they can up-sell you on a hearing aid if you have any hearing loss, which most of us do have to some extent by middle age.). I wouldn't begrudge them this, except that the isolation booth where they test your hearing is sweltering hot and has no air circulation. I gently complained to the audiologist about this before my test began, and she obviously couldn't be bothered, despite the fact I felt like I was going to pass out in there after a few minutes. (After all, how dare I slow down her daily routine with my petty concerns? She sat there with this sour expression, never showed a hint of a smile even once while I was there. The only thing shiny about her was the cheap cross necklace she wore around her neck... enough said about all that). But it gets worse. They under-billed my copay amount at the time of the office visit, two different times, because they didn't bother to call my insurance company to verify the specialist co-pay amount. I didn't notice this at the time of the visit. So then they start flooding my postal mail box with bills for the difference. I sent them a personal check in payment and wrote a little comment in the "for" line of the check that said "adjustment for office staff error." Well, that apparently did NOT go over well with someone named Melinda that handles the billing. This genius Melinda mails me back a receipt via postal mail with a rude, snarky paragraph handwritten on it (full of misspelled words), saying "you should contact your insurance company on *their* error, not ours (the word "their" being underlined twice on the statement for emphasis). I ask you, dear readers, who does that in a professional medical practice at one of the most reputable facilities in Dallas? Is this person a high school kid? Ridiculously unprofessional and rude. Well apparently, this guy's staff has plenty of time to engage in this sort of childish, vindictive and unprofessional nonsense, because the three different times I have been there, there has never been more than one other patient being seen. Even at the busiest times of day and at the height of cold and flu season. Kinda makes you wonder, did the rude staff drive away the patients, or did something else drive away the patients, and the staff are rude because the doc can't afford to hire true, mature professionals? It's one of those "which came first, the chicken or the egg" questions. However, it's a question someone else will have to explore, because I will never be back. read more
