I deeply regret that I did not read the reviews on Jane Farrar Admire, MD, Otolaryngology (ENT)…read morebefore stepping into her office at Medical City Dallas. Do not fall for the deceptively pleasant first visit. Do yourself a favor and read all the reviews on this doctor. Jane Farrar Admire, MD, ENT and her staff are the most incompetent, devious, and despicable medical professionals I have ever met or heard about that are allowed to practice medicine. I would not recommend Dr. Admire to anyone for anything. My experience with Dr. Jane Farrar Admire, ENT is the absolute worst doctor to ever obtain a medical license. I thought that she was a nice person and good doctor until May of 2023 when I allowed her to perform my tonsillectomy. My tonsillectomy was so bad that I have not been able to taste food for the past 9 months. When I inform Dr. Admire of my condition after the surgery via a phone call and three weeks later in my follow-up office appointment, her response on both occasions was give it two weeks. After two months she said that there was nothing that she did to caused me to lose my ability to taste. To add insult to injury, she defrauded me out of hundreds of dollars. She is the first doctor to ever request that I pay an upfront payment before a procedure. Whereas, this is the legal right of any physician, I paid the requested amount with the understanding that I would get my money back after she submit the claim to the insurance company. However, she did not file my claim correctly. The insurance company and I informed Dr. Admire that she submitted the claim with a code error. I was told that the doctor handled her own billing and she would resubmit the claim. However, after nine months the insurance company still have not received a new claim from Dr. Admire. I tried several times to speak to Dr. Admire to rectify the issue but I the office stop accepting and returning my calls. Dr. Admire and her staff went as far as sending my calls to an automated messaging system that stated, "The Office is Close." However, when I call from another number or have someone else to call the receptionist answers the call. I know now that she intentionally filed the claim incorrectly so she could keep my up-front payment which is more than what the insurance company would have paid her. People beware and please do not make the same mistakes that I did.

I was at ease with her doing the work because she is such a capable and intelligent woman. Everyone there was amazing…read more The doctor was efficient, effective, precise, and expedient. I was in so much pain from impacted wax and accidentally yelled the f word at one point during the procedure. AMBER the front desk lady, came in the room immediately out of nowhere, held my hand and was extremely reassuring. I squeezed the heck out of her hand and she was a rock for me, truly above and beyond bedside manner. Everyone was sweet and understanding towards me also, ZERO judgment just acceptance, patience, and understanding. I HIGHLY recommend this place!

Update - 6/10/2026, 9:46 AM…read more Amber followed up with me again and called in an oral antibiotic, which was my preferred treatment option. I am hopeful that once the infection begins to clear, the pain and discomfort will also improve. I am grateful that she took the time to listen to my concerns, follow up, and help address this issue. Small acts of care and communication can make a significant difference in a patient's experience, especially when they are in pain. Because of this follow-up and willingness to help, I have updated my rating from 2 stars to 3 stars. ------------------------------------------------- At 9:17 AM on 6/10/2026, I received a follow-up call from Amber regarding my appointment. During our conversation, I shared the same concerns I had previously expressed--that I had not yet experienced any relief from the gel that was placed in my ear canal during my visit. Amber was professional and explained that relief may take anywhere from 24 to 48 hours. My review is intended to be honest, transparent, and reflective of my real-life experience.I have only been back in Dallas for three weeks and am still getting established with healthcare providers in the area. Like any patient, I came seeking help, relief, and guidance. My sincere hope is to be happy, healed, and thriving, and I look forward to feeling better soon. ----------------------------------------------- I want to start by saying that Amber was very professional and helpful. She worked with me to get an appointment scheduled for the very next day, which I truly appreciated. The medical assistant who checked me in was also kind, professional, and even offered me Tylenol because she could see that I was in pain. Unfortunately, my experience after seeing the doctor left me feeling disappointed. I came in with a swollen ear canal and severe throbbing pain. The doctor asked a few questions, applied some gel in my ear, and the visit felt very quick. I left feeling much the same as I did when I arrived, with little understanding of the treatment plan and no immediate relief from my symptoms. My appointment was at 1:15 PM, and as I write this at 5:26 PM, I am still experiencing significant pain. My blood pressure was elevated during the visit, which is unusual for me, but I believe it was due to the level of discomfort I was experiencing. I chose this provider because of the excellent reviews, so I was hopeful that I would receive more relief and guidance. At this point, I feel discouraged and uncertain about whether I should return for my follow-up appointment or seek care from another provider. I also feel that the $84 visit did not provide the value or relief I was expecting. I appreciate the professionalism of the staff, but I hope future patients with acute pain receive a more thorough evaluation, clearer communication, and a treatment plan that helps address their symptoms more effectively. One additional consideration for patients is that there is no courtesy parking available in parking lot 3.

Afterwards I met with Dr. Rodgers. We had a very good discussion out of which came a recommendation for an MRI of my head. Dr. Rodgers called me after receiving the MRI results and indicated that there was a concern about an air bubble, or something, and suggested that I follow up with a neurologist to have a look at the MRI results. Dr. Rogers said that he would take care of a referral. Months later I had not heard from a neurologist. I called Dr. Rogers' office in January 2024 and spoke with whomever took the call. I told this person that I was still waiting for information regarding a referral initiated by Dr. Rodgers for a visit with a neurologist. I was assured that my message would be passed on to Dr. Rodgers. As of this date, 02/20/2024, I have not heard back from Dr. Rodgers' office. Quite a disappointment. Kennard C. Brown

Absolutely the worst doctor I have ever encountered in my life!…read moreI have an unusual and uncommon issue affecting my left ear that I have been affected by on and off since 2015. The original doctor that I was referred to could not see me and instead it was Dr. Rodgers in the same office (Dallas Ear Institute) that I had the appointment with. In order to save him time, I wrote a detailed one page overview that covered everything since 2015. He came into the office and asked me what my issue was. I handed him the paper so that he could read it. He glanced at it for no more than 10 seconds, put it aside and once again asked me what the issue was. I told him that if he took three minutes to read my comprehensive review, he would fully understand the issue. He got up in a huff and stormed out the door telling me: "I shall go out and read it and come back". He came back five minutes later and by his comments, it was clear that he finally read it. He expressed his opinion and suggested that I take a prescription that should help with the issues. I told him that I would do so, and in turn he told me that he will write a prescription and someone will bring it to me in a few minutes. He left, and a nice lady came in and told me that the prescription was being sent to Walgreens and they will contact me and ship it to me. I asked why I could not just pick it up at my neighborhood Walgreens? She said that it is a medication that has to be compounded in downtown Dallas and would save me a long trip to pick it up (I live in Aubrey). I said fine, thank you, and went home. I looked up the medication on line and to my shock found out that this medication, Betahistine, was revoked by the FDA in 1975 because of insufficient evidence of any beneficial efficacy result and it is not authorized to be sold in the U.S. I find it shocking that Dr. Rodgers would prescribe this medication that had to be compounded to get around the FDA ruling, without informing me that this medication was not authorized for use in the U.S. - so that I could make my own decision one way or another. Needless to say, I never picked up the medication.
