Let myself get talked into septum reconstruction and turbinate reduction by Dr. Wyatt while seeing him for another matter entirely. I went with his recommendations and it's now 1 year since my surgeries. Both surgeries were an epic failure. Airflow in one nostril is now a small percentage of what I once enjoyed. Turbinates? Now I make a flapping sound when I sleep. My wife can't believe the strange sound my breathing makes while sleeping. I wish I did more research before letting Dr. Wyatt carve me up. Septum reconstruction has a very low success rate and often does more harm then good. My experience was no different. Turbinate reduction isn't quantifiable for the patient... you just have to trust the doctor's recommendation and what post- OP success you may realize. He said I was a success yet my breathing is worse than before the surgeries. I regret these surgeries and frankly ever meeting Dr. Wyatt. read more

I called North Dallas ENT three times in an attempt to determine if anyone on staff was willing to treat my father on site in an assisted-living residence. (I likely would have made an appointment for an in-office visit if an on-site visit wasn't possible. But I wanted to go the safer route first.) I was told three times that someone would call back later that day with an answer. It's been four days, and I have yet to receive a return call. For me, this is just another example of a firm that either: a) has ridiculously untrained phone staff or b) doesn't care about customer service. Spend your money elsewhere. read more

I've been experiencing sinus issues my entire life. I've been getting sinus infections more and more often as an adult so I finally broke down and went to an ENT. I decided on North Dallas ENT because they were so highly rated on yelp. I saw Dr. Allison Wyll. She was super nice, I really did like her. She had great bedside manner. So after having my CT scan, they found a slight deviation in my left septum. The CT scan report said nothing about a left frontal cyst though, and Dr. Allison Wyll noticed it when we were reviewing my scans. The reason why I rated 1 star is because she told me that I had nothing to worry about with the cyst (even though I specifically told her my pain was in this area), and she indicated that it would "come out on its own" after a balloon sinusplasty. That made 0 sense to me. She also didn't understand why the CT scan report didn't reflect the cyst. Prime Diagnostic Imaging did the CT scan. I went to get a second opinion and was told the cyst IS an issue if it keeps throbbing and that it needs to come out because that means it getting infected. Also, that a balloon sinuplasty would do nothing to remove the cyst. I think if you are having just general sinus issues, this place is great. My case was a bit more unique since I have a frontal sinus cyst and since this appt, I haven't found the right ENT yet to take my case. Could just be that my case is a difficult one. read more

I really can't say enough good things about Dr. Wyatt and his office staff. He did a second sinus surgery on me (previous surgeon I saw didn't do a great job). The surgery has helped me. I still have issues, but they are not because of the surgeries. When I am in pain, Millie (nurse) talks through my symptoms if I can't get in to see Dr. Wyatt and has helped me so much. read more

UPDATE: I've been on lockdown with this pandemic, so I finally have time post my review on Yelp. Early January I went to North Dallas ENT and I told them about my ear issues and how I felt so clogged with pressure that they needed to drain. Upon first visiting, after my $60 copay, I told her about my hearing loss and the feeling of fluid and pressure in my ears. I brought up Eustachian tube dilation and a Myringotomy. All the doc did was look in my ears and said, "Yep, you got some fluid in there." After I insisted that it may be just my ears, she kept trying to convince me that it was my sinuses that were the problem (What? After only looking in my ears?) and asked if I had trouble breathing through my nose or anything and I told her yes, but only if my allergies flared up. She latched on to my statement and insisted that they needed to get a CT scan to see what's going on and schedule a hearing test. After going back and forth with her on this, I reluctantly agreed to her pitch. That first visit took only 10 minutes (I waited nearly an hour) So I had to pay $300 out of pocket for the CT scan and about $80 for the hearing test, insurance wouldn't cover it. The 2nd visit was for the hearing test and the evaluation of it, another $60 copayment. The next visit was for the evaluation of the CT scan and discussed what type of procedures needed to be performed, another $60 copay. Then they took me to billing. Much to my surprise, the physician's fees were $8k ALONE. After insurance on just that, I would have to pay $2,064.43 out of pocket. They told me to call the anesthesiologist and the surgeon. The surgery would've been $4,285 AFTER insurance and the anesthesia would've been $200/hr all out of pocket. So the grand total of all this rafter insurance? $6,550. My deductible is $6k and THATS not even the kicker. They quoted me $117.82 for the first two post-op visits and $61.93 for the third and beyond, that's strictly out of pocket regardless of deductibles. I had to cancel the surgery because I can't afford my deductible being maxed out. I called my insurance company just to see what the total cost would be without insurance. Ready for it? $38,000 THIRTY-EIGHT THOUSAND DOLLARS for a simple, non-invasive 1-hour surgery. So after copays and out of pocket tests, I spent approximately $560 for absolutely nothing. I called every other ENT in the DFW area and told them that I could send the test results of my CT scan and hearing exam, and all of them refused and said they wanted to do their own testing which would cost ME even more out of pocket. I've been having these issues for the past 2 years now. My condition has been getting so bad, that I've been getting pressure headaches and even more hearing loss, so I started saving to just pay for ANYTHING to fix this. THEN this pandemic happened which canceled all non-essential surgeries until this emergency is lifted, but that won't happen for months according to several sources, and the company I'm working for is going through rounds and rounds of layoffs because of it, so I'm probably going to lose my job and my insurance along with it. I'm going to be stuck with this for a looooong time. I'm convinced that North Dallas ENT are just there to take your money, period. I HIGHLY recommend you look elsewhere. And If North Dallas ENT is reading this, you absolutely screwed me and my quality of life. If you just LISTENED to me and offered to give me simple tubes, I wouldn't be in this predicament. read more

Dr. Wyll reduced my turbinates because I was having trouble breathing. I'm so much better now. She's an excellent doctor: patient, great listener, really understood my feelings. I got in to all my visits very quickly. Staff is excellent: very respectful and pleasant. I highly recommend this office. read more

Definitely was not impressed. The only reason I am giving an extra star than I should, is because the front staff was pretty nice. Otherwise, I feel it was a waste of time and money. I spent hundreds of dollars on an exam for someone to tell me there's nothing wrong with me and I need to go see an ear specialist. I left that the took my money and didn't really what happened after that. Definitely could've used that money to go see an actual ear specialist. read more

I love my ent, he is fantastic. I recently had a sinuplasty and so far all is good. Dr. Pero was very conscientious of me as the pt especially since I forgot any pain med but it turned out well. I am excited to see and feel final results which I will become aware of in the fall or the balance of spring because that is my allergy time. Great staff, the only downside is that they are always busy so sometimes hard to get an won't but that also means they are a better group of drs. read more

I had been suffering from bad and frequent sinus infections for several years. I was given a referral to Dr. Wyll from my primary. Right away Dr. Wyll was able to identify my sinus issues. The surgery went very well, and I did not have much pain. Two weeks after the surgery I could already tell the difference. Would recommend anyone with sinus issues to visit Dr. Wyll. read more

So far I've had a great experience with Dr. Wyatt & Dallas ENT. I've been having sinus issues for 10+ years and always thought there was something more, but every time I brought it up to my doctors they would just say it was probably not as bad as I thought & prescribe another different allergy medication. Dr. Wyatt actually listened to me, took my concerns seriously, and had figured out the other issue within five minutes. Was overjoyed just to finally know & to have such a knowledgeable and respectful doctor that actually helped. Also, props to the staff for setting me up with an appointment within 2 days!!
