Golds has allowed too many people to join their gym. Good luck trying to find a piece of equipment to use. A lot of their equipment is never used and is wasting space. One smith press? Decent gym but I just left super disappointed. I wanted to use the elliptical and bikes that were in front of the tv screens and although nbc and cbs everywhere on the planet was showing the NFL I was told by both of the staffers that "we can't get the NFL on our tvs." I do not live In Cheyenne but if I did I would not join this gym. This gym sets me up with the wrong account from the get-go...I gave them information and my employee ID card, but they were not aware if i had a corporate gym membership. I came back with more corporate discount paperwork and verification, and then they told me i had to email the GM because they can't change it without his approval. I've had the wrong membership for 2 months. It took 6 emails back and forth to get clearance to change it to the account I should have had in the first place. They don't want to refund me for the incorrect account charges, and GM hasn't emailed me back about a refund.I Secondly, I was told they have a pool facility and a child center. Asked when I set up an account that I can teach my 3-year-old daughter how to swim in the pool. I brought her in 2wks ago, but we were stopped at the gym floor entrance because their policy is that any child under 9yrs old can not enter the gym or swimming pool. read more

Best review I can offer on this gym is to read the negative reviews on the crazy billing issues they create. From not working with Military personnel, accusing their customers of lying, to simply not listening when people want to cancel their account one can only see a wave of red flags. Those red flags are telling you to stay away. Golds Gym has disregarded my instructions to cancel my membership that I made both verbally and in writing. TJ the manager wanted me to come in and sign what he described as a "legal document" to cancel. Given we are in a global pandemic, with over 200,000 Americans dead, I was not willing to prance on in there to sign TJ's legal document as my clear and express instruction to cancel were made both verbally and in writing. You'd think that would be enough for any business or business manager to understand one's wishes however TJ apparently didn't think my words were clear enough as he kept applying charges to my account. So when I told TJ "You are no longer authorized to charge my credit card" or when I said "I request to cancel my membership" in writing, TJ still didn't seem to get it. It seems Golds Gym has decided the way to overcome profit shortfalls during the pandemic is to create fraudulent account charges and then sell them to a debt collector. So while I made clear my intentions to sever my membership, thereby reducing their monthly revenues slightly, they make up those losses by selling the fraudulent debts they create. So where there was no revenue from my membership, now they say it's worth over $300. How much the debt collector bought it for is probably a question for TJ. Again, when you see those red flags waving in these reviews, you best just stay away so you don't end up spending your spare time writing reviews revealing the shady and unethical business practices Golds Gym perpetuates. read more

You're trying to make it seem like I was only met with bad attitudes when I tried to sneak someone in... correction, I TOLD the girl at the front desk myself, no one caught me doing anything. But the funny thing is, I was joking with the girl, but she was rigid and had an attitude. The people I brought with me, were there to tour the gym because I was hoping to get them to sign up as I have others, never with a problem. This is appalling that after spending thousands of dollars on 50 sessions with a trainer AND being a vip member at $60 PER MONTH at this gym, the owner would give a reply like that and try to make it seem like I was trying to scam a few bucks out of you by sneaking people in. Shame on you! Glad I left that horrible, bad attitude, judgmental place. At least my trainers were cool. Too bad the gym ownership is stuck up. I was a member of the gym. I was traveling on business for three months and called several times to have my account be put on hold. The front desk person said that was possible for a hold fee of $10. She said the person who handles that will call me back. Never received a phone call. After several attempts I then sent a letter to the gym asking for my account to be canceled as stated in the contract. They never canceled the account. read more

What a joke! It's Sunday so I thought I would give Gold's a shot and get my cardio in and in the process watch some early morning NFL football. They have 12 TV's above the cardio area. They might as well have NONE! Choices are, ESPN classic channel, two tv's tuned to HGTV, one cooking channel, CNN news, FOX news, Speed skating, National geographic channel, another ESPN channel that had Canadien football and let's not forget the Cartoon channel. No NFL Football on Sunday morning? All these tv's and nothing worth watching. Some might be wondering, do you go to the gym to work out or watch tv? Well, all gyms have TV's all around the gym for patrons viewing pleasure and most have REMOTES that you are able to change the channel with. OH, not gold's gym, you are stuck with the garbage we have on. Those TV's are just FLUFF. It's an attraction for potential customers. I asked at the front desk if the channels could be changed and she looked at me like I just farted in front of her. God forbid HGTV channel or the cooking channel would be changed? It's like going to a restrant and they have all kinds of choices on the menu but nothing you really want, what do you do? You leave and you go somewhere else that offers the same thing but with the opportunity TO CHANGE THE FRIGGIN CHANNEL!!! That is what I will do and I hope others will do the same. My husband has orders to be transferred to Alabama for military services. We had paid a year in advance for his gym membership and when my husband went in to cancel his gym membership they refused to give a refund. We aren't relocating to Alabama because we want to we have to. We won't ever be joining another Gold's Gym in the future. Whatever you do NEVER pay your membership in advance. read more

I wouldn't recommend this gym to anyone. Their prices are way too much they charge you an annual fee of $40 for "cleaning" if you want to cancel your membership they charge you $75 the people at the front desk are rude. The gym isn't even that clean. I'm very unsatisfied so I'm cancelling my membership and telling the bank to not allow them to take money out of my account. People have said after canceling their membership they just keep taking money out every month. It ridiculous. Also there are so many people it's hard to get anything done. The gym is to small and they have more people in it then it should really hold. There have been several times where I haven't been able to complete my workout because people were hogging machines or there were to many people it's crowded and uncomfortable and some people don't wear deodorant anyways I'm going back to my old gym so much nicer! read more

Here I am going to the gym up until the point where I'm moving so I try to give them a notice and ask them to cancel my membership. THIS IS WHERE ** BECAME A HUGE SCAM. Horrible customer services (the guy with the tattoos!) and to top it off they didn't want to cancel my gym membership, even when I bloody show them proof of me leaving. Wish I could give it zero stars. Highly scammy. I called to cancel my month to month membership and was told it was cancelled and they would stop charging me. They didn't. When I noticed the charges on my card, I called to get it cancelled, they implied I was lying about my earlier attempt to cancel and refused a refund. I googled and it turns out hundreds of other people have had similar problems when trying to cancel at Gold's Gyms across the country. Gym was mediocre at best, in terms of machines, cleanliness, ect... But I can't get over how borderline fraudulent their cancellation practices are. This Gold's Gym gets a Gold Star for great service and equipment! I stopped in here as the hotel fitness room where I was staying was less than adequate. I pulled up Yelp to seek out a fitness club that takes walk ins and up popped this place. A 24 hour pass is only $10. Lots of treadmills, weight machines and free weight stations here. Don't like the music they're playing? Free WiFi allows you to log into your Pandora, Spotify, etc. to stream music to your ear buds. There's a nutritional shake/fresh juice bar in house too. I didn't have a chance to try it but they had a good sized menu of items to choose from. I will certainly be back when in Cheyenne! read more

This is a great gym. When equipment if broken it gets fixed pretty quickly. I paid for a year membership for over $300.00. Now they are offering a great price for about $275 a year. However, the gym is now open, but the downside is, you have to pay $10 to work out. Even if you paid for a year membership. Its true, Golds Gym are stingy about working with their customers. Honestly, I have not been able to work out for 2 months. I paid for a year membership, but I can't work oiut unless I pay $10, and pre-register (even though the website says the gym is open 4 am to midnight). COVID19 has caused businesses and customers a lot of inconvenience and stress but this is cold. read more

This is by far my favorite gym in town. Super nice staff, great trainers and amazing classes. On top of all that, they have a free sauna, free massage chairs, opening a swimming pool and basketball court. Plus if you like to tan, they have a tan booth and a aqua massage package. I love working out at this gym. I don't live in Cheyenne, but when I am in town for business, this is my go-to workout facility. Guest passes are 10 dollars and good for 24 hours. The facility is very new and clean, with plenty of space for all my exercise needs. There is even a "Cardio Theater" where you can watch movies on a big screen with surround sound while you work out. It's pretty cool. I like that there are a couple of very nice squat racks on top of lifting platforms, so you can do deadlifts, squats, etc with ease. read more

Looking for a gym to replace a barbell club is no easy task. I'm in town temporarily and my first concern was "Oh crap, where am I going to continue my training in powerlifting?!" Thankfully, a new Gold's is open in Cheyenne and the thankful feels they are a-flowing. I called before I even moved and found out they are powerlifting friendly! YASSS I can come in and deadlift over 135lbs! They actually have platforms! Bumper plates too! Three squat racks! A million benches and even one that features a SELF LIFT OFF...WHAAAAAT?! This girl is pleased! Oh, and for you hardcore powerlifters, they even have a GHR! My torture training can continue uninterrupted. Again, this girl is pleased. Let's get to it after all that excitement. The Pros: -clean and new-ish; everything seems to be properly maintained -friendly front desk staff. Shout out to Justin for the tour etc -giant cable section with plenty of various attachments (Bro heaven on chest and arm day) -clean locker rooms with sparkling showers -giant parking lot -fast wi-fi -juice bar/smoothie bar area -towel service (though the towels are quite teeny tiny) -vast array of cardio equipment (not that I do cardio LOL) The Cons: -lots and lots of creepers (a few even offered unsolicited advice...not cool bros, not cool) -lots of plates put back in the wrong space (perpetual gym problem across America) -odd music selection playing overhead -Les Mills dominated GGX schedule All in all, I'm glad to have found a place that will let me throw heavy weight around and not yell at me for it. Huge gym . friendly patrons and staff, very clean - it seems as there is always some one cleaning, Donna is a top notch trainer.

If I was grading on quality and cleanliness of the equipment I would probably say 4 stars, but this gym has so oversold memberships to its "Kid's Club" that it has become unusable. This morning the Kids Club was full with seven children on the wait list. It is not an exaggeration to say the lobby area was filled with parents waiting for a spot to open in the Kids Club so they could work out. This has been a growing problem since last fall. Even though the management at the gym understands that their Kids Club is often filled to capacity they continue to sell more and more memberships. I do not understand why they won't cap Kids Club memberships until such time that they can bring on additional staff. Instead, they continue to take our money month after month and then turn parents away when the Kids Club is full, as it is at least 2 or 3 times a week when I visit the gym. It's very disappointing that the management of the gym disregards its members like this in the pursuit of more and more revenue. If you are thinking about joining Golds because it offers child care, please think again. read more

My son and I were traveling through town and stopped in to see about getting a day pass so we could grab some exercise before hitting the road again. They were attentive and helpful. We were able to get day passes for $10 and were working out within five minutes. The facility was huge... loaded with every imaginable kind of equipment. I wish I would give zero star. I feel like this place is racist. I'm Asian and I'm gold member .I work out everyday after work since April. I'm kinda regular customer for them. I think every employee work in the front knows me ,so Sometime I don't even check in. The girl work in the front ask me to check in while I'm working out. I don't Mind to check in. But her attitude was so bad. Seem like I own her money. She knows me come every day and I know she doesn't ask other regular people like me. Maybe cause I'm Asian. That not only happened once . She was really rude and ask us to out the pool about 2 months ago but the time was 11:40. I would never go this gym again. WOW! Loved this gym. Great equipment and plenty of space. One of the best Golds I've visited and I have been to over 50 during my travels.

New glitzy machines. That's where the pluses end. They are after $ that's the bottom line. They fire their best trainer, and still post him on the website. Dealing with their sales people is like a used car sale. No people skills, just give 'em your money. They are a slippery group to deal with. I love the classes and instructors, but this gym has so over sold memberships that getting a spot in class has become quite combative. Many of the classes are so crowded they are uncomfortable and bordering on unsafe as the instructors cannot see everyone and correct obvious form and position errors. And the 'gym etiquette of fellow gym goers is lacking, I've had my setup kicked out of the way or just plain stolen. They allow people to enter a yoga class 20 minutes late, making all types of noise. It is really disruptive, especially for a class that is suppose to de-stress a person. I feel like management is disregarding the needs and comfort of existing members as they try to sell more memberships. read more

Very clean, very friendly staff, exuberant and wonderful class leaders, tons of great equipment, fresh complementary towels with every visit, great selection of group classes, and most of all - a cinema room full of cardio equipment running great movies all day long! Great gym. Even when there are tons of people, I never have a problem with lack of equipment or space.

This gym has been a HUGE help to me this summer. The fact that they offer childcare (and an AMAZING staff to watch the kids) is primarily the reason I joined. After belonging to an older gym for over a year, it is refreshing to have fresh, new equipment (just need a couple more squat racks...) and helpful trainers there to assist when needed. I like the variety of classes is nice and the gym is clean, too. Again, I would like to give a big shout out to the staff that watch the kids in the child care -- they are fantastic with the kids!! :o) read more
