I was in the area with a friend who has never tried Goldie's and I had to introduce it to her! She said it was the best donut she has ever had. My personal favorite is still the strawberry milkshake donut, but this time I also tried the matcha flavor and it was really good as well!

Cute little bakery with lots of open space. We tried a milky cream donut and the garlic butter salt bread. The donut was light and fluffy. The salt bread was a little bit denser and was more just like bread, nothing really spectacular about it.

Got some donuts to-go and was pretty happy! Tried the pistachio, earl grey, strawberry, and matcha. All of them were very pretty and consistently prepared. The standout in flavor however was definitely the earl grey. Really nice balance between the lemon and tea flavor. The matcha and strawberry were also good, but the strawberry was very mild in flavor.

It was a huge hit with everyone! The 6 inch cake was $69 and I added a customized birthday message on chocolate for an extra $3 which was a nice personal touch. They also offer a gluten free option for an additional $10 which is great for accommodating different dietary needs. One thing to keep in mind is that you'll want to order online well in advance because their cakes sell out quickly. I can definitely see why. They're fantastic! I'll be ordering from Gary's Patisserie again for future celebrations.

The pastries looked very unique, and some of the ingredients were unusual in a good way. If you like little sweet, this is for you. First of all, the packaging of their cake is very interesting. They are inside a very nice glass jar. You get to reuse the glass jar for something else. The quantity in this jar is equivalent to a single sliced cake you normally get from a bakery. They have a variety of flavours. You get to find some new flavours from time to time. I got these 3 flavours this time: - Taro coconut pandan - Matcha - Durian My favourite has to be the matcha. The matcha content was quite high. I could taste the subtle bitterness of it. The cream was silky, and the cake was spongy. Overall it was not too sweet for my liking. Some might find it not sweet enough. Taro coconut pandan was also nice while the coconut chunks were very refreshing in its natural light sweetness. The pandan flavour was very subtle. One of the layers was a bit too sweet. The combination was very south east Asia. Last but not least, durian is a very unique tropical fruit. It has its natural sweetness. The balance was nice between the cream and the spong cake. They have a stand displaying butter shortbread cookie samples. All of their flavours taste good. The most interesting flavour was Hong Kong style milk tea. You can order cakes in 6", 8", and 10". The Pumpkin spice pear and chestnut cake is seasonal. Their mango mousse cake also looked good. Parking is a little tricky on Kingsway. You can park for free before 3om and after 6pm. Side street parking is also available.

Excellent bakery and cafe with delectable baked goods especially…read more We tried the following for Croissant Crawl and they were all excellent. - mushroom tart - really great flavour, very crispy and crunch on the outside - strawberry croissant tart - this is so beautiful you don't even want to break into it to eat it, but the fruit is wonderful and fresh, the pastry very crispy and crunchy, amazing texture and as a package it is awesome - pistachio and mango cruffins - these are good as well. Crunchy and the inside is flavourful. - cheese tart - I think this is my favourite. Really smooth and wonderful cheese, the crust is solid and crunchy but not too much. Just really wonderful. Would definitely come back.

I believe they were one of the first places in Vancouver to really bring these fruit-shaped desserts to the forefront, and then slowly everyone else started following the trend. The mango is definitely my favourite. It's light, fruity and refreshing and the white chocolate shell gives you that little crack when you bite into it. I tried the clementine/orange one as well and I would probably skip that one next time. It's mostly cream with not a ton of cake. The good news is that the mousse is pretty light, so even though there's a lot of it, it doesn't feel like an incredibly heavy dessert. The pastries and desserts are definitely more about the experience and presentation, although there are some really good options beyond the fruit ones too.

Usually for last few years I've been ordering from Esther at Dipnsip & Unni Pastries. I was…read morereferred at my friend's wedding as I was looking for cakes and pastries for in-laws. Well it seems ownership has changed and the new owner doesn't give two craps about prior customers, honoring discounts, replying back timely or being more friendly? Was playing email tag and finally submitted the 39 flavors and didn't hear back until after another week and then told they won't deliver only in morning when they know our reservation was for 730pm and they're open until 9? I even replied back and nothing. We own and run several business in lower mainland and in United States and this customer service from Unni Pastries is trash. At least you can do is reply back and apologize? For wasting time when I specifically told you it's for family and friends flying into town for a funeral burial. Will never use their business again. I highly suggest Mello. They replied and helped me out last minute. Shame on you! Learn how to run a business and treat customers esp previous customers who were supporting the business and fellow Krn but it's clear the new owner doesn't care about the customer or quality it's all about quantity. Maybe my 39 donuts which I offered to pay extra for time and packaging wasn't large enough but money is money. Especially during this time and economy. You should've at least replied back and even tried asking us to do pickup as the restaurant is down the road. Do better! Go to Mello which isn't too far and they bake fresh daily better pricing and reviews and consistency!
