Goldies Diesel did an outstanding job repairing my 2007 Ford F250 (6.0). I was having an issue with my truck engine stalling. Needed an OeM Injector Pressure Regulator replacement. Goldies had my truck repaired within 24 hours...and it was done right! This was my first experience with Goldies Diesel Repair and they now have a forever customer. Matt and Mike were spot on with the diagnostics and repair. They both went above and beyond. My truck stalled on the way to the shop and was broken down close by. took my ford f250 they kept my truck for almost a month no communication what so ever. I went for them to fix a oil leak and to fix some other things didn't fix anything but the oil leak they charged me 3300 dollars because they put it back together incorrectly several times and they added that labor to the bill. when I showed up and saw nothing was fixed that I asked of them and they presented me a 3300 bill I was obviously upset I still paid and right after I paid they kicked me out the shop and 2 weeks later my truck broke down a hour away from home. DO NOT GO TO GOLDIES they will just give you a run for your money. read more

Had my truck towed in for service, it was a Saturday, told me they probably wouldn't be able to work on it till Tuesday or Wednesday, they got it fixed on Monday. Starts up just like it should now. I was renting a minivan until Goldie's fixed my truck, so with them fixing it and getting it back to me right away , they saved me money on my rental. I recently bought a 2005 Ford F-250 with the 6.0 power stroke engine with 74k miles on it. It started to act up after 5k miles, my first thought was "I hope I didn't buy a money pit!" The guys at Goldie's once again came through in All-Star fashion, taking what could've been a nightmare, and making it a dream come true. A perfect running 6.0 by replacing the necessary parts to fix the problem. I will be taking my first generation Dodge to them soon - these guys are awesome and true to their word. read more

My wife and I were traveling from Seattle to Oracle for Thanksgiving. My 2006 Ford F-350 with 6.0 took this opportunity to strand me in Catalina on Tuesday morning. I had it towed to Goldies Diesel. They looked very busy. I explained we we had to travel back to Seattle by Sunday. They took the truck, diagnosed it within 30 minutes and ordered parts. I needed another Oil Cooler and an EGR Cooler. I know this is a big job, but the got the parts and started work on Wednesday before Thanksgiving. Mike and Chase stayed at least 2 hrs late and completed the repair. God bless these guys. read more

I have never written a review before, but as a result of my recent experience with Goldie's Diesel Repair in Tucson, I feel I must inform anyone who is looking for an awesome diesel repair shop that Goldie's is the top of the line. I cannot say enough good things about this place and could not be happier with the results of my visit. Our personal nightmare began on a Wednesday afternoon while on vacation when my 6.0 L, 2004 Ford Excursion, which is the tow vehicle for my 35-foot trailer, simply died in the middle of the road just north of Tucson and had to be towed due to a "crank no-start" condition. After calling local diesel repair shops and explaining the situation that our trailer had to be out of the RV Park no later than Saturday at 12:00 noon, the best response I received was for an appointment in "about" 2 weeks. When I called Goldie's, the response was, "bring it down, we'll fit you in." Upon the truck's arrival at Goldie's at approximately 4:00 pm, Wednesday, Mike Garrick, owner, and Master Diesel Mechanic, as well as Chase and others immediately jumped on the problem, performed diagnostics, and concluded that the issue was a failure of the low-pressure oil pump. After checking availability of the part, found that it was on back order from his supplier. As a result of numerous phone calls and the cooperative efforts of Goldie's and Bulletproof Diesel (BPD) in Mesa, AZ, the part was "pony expressed" by BPD from Mesa to Eloy, AZ where it was transferred to Goldie's personnel for installation in Tucson. This effort was certainly "above and beyond" any that I have ever experienced. Goldie's tore down the engine on Thursday, replaced the pump, reassembled the vehicle, and retested the engine to find that the "crank no-start" condition persisted. Additional diagnostics pointed to the failure of the high-pressure oil pump. Despite the fact that Goldie's hours are M-F, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, the source of the problem was confirmed following a second tear down of the engine on Saturday morning, when the shop is normally closed for business. The failure of the low-pressure oil pump contributed to the additional failure of the high-pressure oil pump. The high-pressure oil pump was replaced Saturday morning, the engine was reassembled, and tested in enough time to get the truck on the road by noon, thus avoiding the additional cost of towing the trailer to another Park. We are amazed at Mike's consideration and concern for his customer's needs. Both he, as well as Chase and the crew, were a pleasure to deal with and extremely helpful in explaining the details of their repair process. The work, which involved tearing down and reassembling the engine twice, as well as replacement of both oil pumps was completed in a remarkably short time at a reasonable cost which not only demonstrates the expertise of the mechanics but highlights the dedication and fairness of Goldie's to meet the needs of their customer. They are a top-notch company that works with you, and we highly recommended them as the "go-to" place for quality work you can trust. I am a car guy... and a very competent mechanic myself. But I'm not a diesel expert. When I decided it was time to bulletproof the 6.0L Powerstroke Diesel in my 2005 Ford Excursion, I wanted to find an expert to help guide me through the process. I am planning a major cross country tow in a few weeks and I really needed to be confident that the vehicle is solid. I did a lot or research and talked to several shops in both Tucson and Phoenix before deciding on Goldies for this major overhaul. Mike Garrick and Eric Fuller spent the time to go through my lengthy list of upgrades in detail and answered all of my questions. They helped guide me to doing the "right" stuff and even talked me out of doing some things that I thought I needed (which would have been easy $$$ for them). To be fair, the shop is no showplace. But pretty buildings and fancy equipment don't make a great shop. Great mechanics do, and that is exactly what I found at Goldies. Highly skilled, honest, friendly and extremely knowledgeable. The quality of their work and attention to detail is first rate. They even fixed a minor, but annoying, issue that I hadn't been able to resolve myself at no charge. And they returned my truck freshly washed, with a spotless engine compartment. I highly recommend them!!!!! read more
