Mr. Chris is very skilled in teaching as well as patient. I can't help believe that a great deal of my granddaughters success is the trust she has in her trainer and the feeling of caring for his students and his sincere commitment to their individualized progress, he demonstrates. The entire family is thrilled with SwimQuest.

The facility is set up to be both kid friendly, but also peaceful and serene. The lessons are a bit more expensive than the other leading kids swim school, but there are fewer kids so it is not nearly as chaotic. The kids definitely get great instruction and learn to swim in no time. Our son is not yet 3 and can nearly swim on his own after the lessons that he received here. The only thing that is a little strange with their structure is that your time and instructor are not guaranteed from one season to the next, so if you like your time slot and want to keep it, you need to wait in line on sign-up day. The benefit is that everyone has an equal chance of getting their preferred time each season and if you don't get it one season you have a chance the next season. Also, you need to pay for the full season up front, which is a big expense compared to other swim schools where you pay monthly. All in all, we've had a great experience here and would highly recommend it to get you child swimming well.

They are apart of the nationwide program. which means anyone from any y is basically allowed. last 2 visits have been horrible. our first time which was a month ago. they wasted our time. made sign the same waiver 4 times. while a man was eyeing us up and down the entire time. which as 2 diverse kids in a not so diverse town. wasn't quite comfortable. then the man soon tells us only adults in the gym. Which was a complete lie because there were many kids of different ages. and they finally allowed us in after everyone left. but then yesterday. So so rude. Same group but i got there early, so they give ME no problem, except the eyeing. So after an hour i go into town to get some food. i meet my friends, and we were gone no more then 30-40 minutes. They "let" me through but give my friend a hard time. we needed the waiver SIGNED again. his parents are busy, and the last time they said we can use a guardians email as long as they over 21. but the lady gets really defensive. And starts saying no you can't. But the same man was there both times and witnessed it both. getting into a particular stance as if we were going to try to attack someone. while i'm trying to explain to peggy, she interrupts and calls over a very disrespectful MADELINE. and says "these kids don't understand anything and won't listen" Ma'am we listened but we tryna explain you something. so madeline comes and says "we don't need to answer anything, they can leave". i try to keep my cool but honestly it bothered a lot. she gets all defensive and starts being rude. while we are simply just trying to play basketball. so she continues with her rudeness. and threatens us with a ban. While the man is looking all dumb, like i wasn't here an hour ago and says "you can go into the open gym, because your from a different YMCA it's a recent law." sir i was there literally an hour ago and i know he saw me before because he called us out and even said he knew where we from. so we walk out and i come back in and ask for their names. Peggy, and then MADELINE, gave me a hard time. but her name badge is clear. so now i will be calling them and filing complaints due to the disrespect and stupidity. i'm honestly never coming to such a horrible staffed gym.

Even when freezing my membership during Lockdown and other times i couldn't afford it between gigs. Sure they inadvertently overcharged me for seven months recently by accident (and I didn't follow up) but it only amounted to $200 or so dollars total. So i asked myself: when does life become more important than money? Here. And the monthly charges are indeed hefty but I've never had a run in with rude employees, busted or rude employees of contract switcheroo's - all of which you find at other gyms. So i look at this way: as we get older, we exercise or we're going to have problems sooner. I'm past the old fifties and this could be my last active decade. Our phones are softening us up and not for good but there's also age so why not go out spinning, lifting and grinnin'! And another positive observation, Ace - how they do it here - I can't tell you but daily, they're mixing kids, adults, the elderly and every stripe of our cultural landscape together under one roof without any apparent issues at all. That alone is worth whatever they charge. We could all learn from this. Reminds me of my beloved Denmark. Normalcy, kindness and respect. It's nice to go to a place that's as much Peace Time as Exercise Time which of course makes Lifetime. Yes it's not cheap but if you want cheap, you become cheap. And investment here isn't subject to risk. You know those annoying brokerage or investment caveats? Not here: you put in the lifetime, you extend the life. And get this Yelp of an adage of mine: a gym is one of the few investments of time where if you honestly put the work in, you honestly get results. Yeah. That's what I'm talking about! Personal growth, Baby! Ah Rudyard Kipling. And you can't script this. I'm doing pectorals like Ren and the next thing I know, a phone call comes in from a Summit number and who is it? Berkeley Heights Life Time! "Sir um is this Charles Savoth?" "Why yes", says I. "Well someone returned your credit card at the front desk!" Honest members, honest gym, honestly I'm not the sharpest "bulb" in the gymnasium firmament! But really are bulbs sharp? I don't know but I'm happy as a clam Lifetime has my back, my Buddha front and my slippery plastic! And clams are happy - they're always smiling. Again personal growth on a mollusk-u-lar level!

The Berkeley Aquatic Club is where I came to do my physical therapy after I had knee surgery. I…read moretried doing the standard therapy and then Covid hit. I then found the Berkeley Aquatic Center in New Providence which offers water therapy. It has been working out wonderfully for me. There's only two people max in the pool. Everyone must wear a mask at all times, and we practice social distancing even in the water. My instructor is right there at pool side giving instructions. Myself and the other attendee take turns using the equipment. The pool has a full set of stairs with rails, so for me getting in and out of the water was not as difficult as a regular pool's set of stairs. It is extremely relaxing because the water is very calming to the body. I had to call first from my car to let the front desk know I arrived. Then I would be met by a worker at the front door, and then they would do a temperature check on me. Once good, I would then proceed to the pool. There is a locker room/ bathroom with showers and a changing area. I just bring a bag and a change of clothes and keep it with me, I could lock it up if I choose to. My sessions would last 45 minutes to an hour depending upon the day. The pool water temperature is kept at 85° at all times. They have a built in treadmill, along with arm weights and noodles, and other pool equipment to get a complete workout. There is a platform with a step down until a little bit deeper water. When I started I could hardly move. By the time I completed a few sessions I was able to start on the treadmill. I could feel myself getting stronger and stronger with each session. It is so much easier to exercise in a pool when your body is in pain. My body felt weightless !. It doesn't hurt like it did when I did traditional PT. My physical therapist Jamie was wonderful. She was extremely patient, very pleasant, and she really was in tune with what I would say to her in regards to my pain. Every session was different. Jamie also gave me some exercises to do at home. This is the best I felt in months. The Berkeley Aquatic Center has a full size pool where they give swim lessons to young kids. Right now due to Covid it has been kept closed. They take most insurances, you need to have a script from your doctor to attend. Every week I look forward to my sessions. When it ends I'm going to feel sad. . I highly recommend water therapy for anyone looking for an alternative to traditional therapy .
