My mom bought me a pair of miu miu glasses here for $500 without insurance (this was 3 years ago) but I had a great experience with the staff. They were nice and helpful. I had my vision tested elsewhere but stopped by here since we went to the fresh & easy in this plaza. Everywhere I go, and even at work ,I always get complimented on my glasses by strangers. Took my 9 or old in at the request of our school. The woman Dr. Started her exam after 5 mins. Changing lenses etc, She yells at my daughter "YOUR A LIAR"! I am confused she says she had her look thru clear lenses and she said it was better. I tried to ask are there other problems besides how well you see and she turned on me shouting "YOU JUST WANT ME TO GIVE HER GLASSES FOR NO REASON"!!! I finally just said whatever and left! She is now 13 and we went to marshal bkechum school of optometry where optometry students were able to diagnose that she has binocular vision issues and is now under medical treatment taking vision therapy to correct her tracking issues! She is now yrs behind in school thankfully we found a good Dr to listen and help instead of calling children liars read more

I've been going to this place since 2012 and have had mixed experiences. When I go to the eye doctor, I just want to have a basic exam and buy contact lenses. Like most people, I really appreciate when I can get the specific thing I need without being hit up to pay for a bunch of expensive add-ons. Instead I feel like the staff here is focused on squeezing more money out of me. I don't like feeling like I have to be on the defense, especially when dealing with a healthcare provider. Still, I continued to go here. I really wanted to like this place. Now It's time for my annual eye exam and I'm almost out of lenses. So I called to make an appointment last week. Due to my schedule (I work a 9-5 and am going out of town next weekend) they were unable to fit me in, at least not within the next few weeks. I understand, even though it would be really cool if they had better hours. So I asked if I could order lenses online with my current prescription. At first she said no, because my prescription expired at the beginning of the month, but then sighed and told me it would be OK - to go ahead and place the order and they would confirm my prescription. I placed the order, and of course I got a message back saying that my eye doctor would not confirm my prescription. If they continue my prescription, how are they going to get me and my wallet into their office? I need contact lenses now, and I'm sick of dealing with this place. I'm switching to a new eye doc and have an appointment Monday at 6:30PM. read more

I've been coming here for a couple years and I have nothing but greats things to say about the staff and service. The women working at the front desk are very welcoming and efficient. There's been times where I walked in without an appointment and they still managed to squeeze me in for a quick check up. The docs themselves are very quick and informative concerning my eyes. I am very picky when it comes to choosing a pair of glasses; Vivian was very helpful with helping me pick a pair that best suited my face. She even rounded up most of the staff so they could decide which pair of glasses they thought suited me the best. The girls are awesome and I will continue come here for any of prescription needs. read more

I've been coming to Dr. Bass since I was about 10 years old. Now years later I have my husband coming here and just brought my 5 year old for his first check-up. My son was so nervous and scared before his appointment but Dr. Bass was so good with him that by the end my son was saying he wanted to come back everyday and that he wanted to be an eye doctor when he grew up. The staff is always helpful when picking glasses. They let you know all your options but never push you to spend more and more money. The location is super convenient, right next to a Starbucks and Fresh & Easy at a major intersection. It was very easy scheduling an appointment. Everything was great. I will say, I kind of laughed when the lady who helps pick out frames was telling me how great I looked in my frames. My experience with my eye exam was great. Dr. Bass was really friendly , the exam was quick, and the front desk staff was super helpful. However, I had some issues with my frames. After my exam I went to pick out frames from the lady who is supposed to be "great" at picking out the right frames for your face. I had an idea of what I wanted but didn't get any help beyond "No! Those are way too big!" No further suggestions. So after picking out appropriate frames and being sold a few add ons that made my bill climb to $120 after insurance this woman told me my frames would be ready in about a week. Fast forward to over a week later and I call for an update after not hearing anything and the person at the front desk (who was really nice and as helpful as could be) told me that my frames had to be back ordered and wouldn't even be in the office to have the lenses put in for another three weeks. ... ok. So now I'm stuck waiting for frames that I probably could have ordered online from the ray-ban website and received in a few days. read more

I went to this place because it was close to home and accepted my vision plan. It took Dr Bass (4) times to get my prescription right. After having my glasses for just over a year the plastic coating on the non prescription lens (my left eye) started to peel. I went back to show them what happened and Both Rick and Dr. Bass told me that I would need to buy lenses because of the time that had passed. Dr. Bass and his crew are super friendly and helpful. I had a pair of Supers that were just for show and didn't have prescription lenses in them and I really wanted them to be my glasses for prescription and Dr. Bass said no problem he could do it, after I went to places like Lens Crafter, and multiple eye places where they scoffed at me. Not only did I take away my Supers with an RX, i also got my contacts and another pair of RX glasses as well just in case. Their selection was large and they had the latest styles. Also any time I have issues with my eyes, they are always there with great advice and quick service. If I call and say I think I have an eye infection they get me in right away, not like other places who make me wait in misery while I am in so much pain with an eye issue. I have been coming to Dr. Bass for about 10 years. Their optometrists are excellent. However, their staff pushes you to get the retina scan even though it is not covered by insurance. And they don't tell you that you will be charged for it before conducting the scan. Their staff are also pushy when it comes to choosing eyeglasses, and when you tell them that you want to stay within the amount covered by insurance, they lose interest in you right away. I think I will go to Costco next time. read more

What a great place. I've seen Dr Bass and Dr Tsukamoto - both were excellent. The opticians are also exceptionally nice. I used to live close to their office ... now I live much farther away but always come here for any vision needs (new glasses, regular eye exams, etc.) Just can't say enough about this office! I had a really bad experience with Dr. Bass' office and I can honestly say that I will never go back nor recommend them to my family and friends. It took a month to get my mom's glasses back from the office. I would understand if the glasses or prescription we had was difficult but it was a routine single vision lens for computer use. The worst part was that after finally getting them they put the wrong prescription in! Not only that but after the month I had called to ask about the order and why it was taking so long, the lady that answered the phone said they had been ready for days! That is just unprofessional and lazy. I will gladly from here on out take my business somewhere else. read more

I had a horrible experience with doctors bass front office at my appoitment. I Left work earlier due to the far distance i had to drive to get to my appoitment on time it was right at the hour of bad trafic was horrible. I had just gotten out of work i felt stressed and worry that i would not make it on time. Running I finally arived. Receptionist asked me if she can help me not in a greetable profesional way. Told her i have an apoitment and that i was 15 late due to bad trafic problems which was something i could not control. She stated but you are late regardless. Told her my son also had a much later appoitment with me that day and was not able to pick him up for appoitment due to trafic also if i can be seen in his place. Asked me to me have a seat.then she started making unprofessional comments on me being late with co-worker. She got up went inside doctors room. Came out told me she just spoke to doctor and can not see me. I asked her if i can be seen in my son's place. Stated no that they were booked while me being the only person waitting. Stated doctor had no time. I asked her to cancelled my husbands and other sons appoitment that was schedule the next day due to did not feel i deserve to be be treated that way . That was not good service. Stated it was fine. Told her i will look for another doctor for my family to go too. Stated will cancel appointments. read more

The nose pads on my favorite driving glasses broke so I walked into Dr. Bass' office as it was next to my bank. I asked if they repaired glasses on the premises. The receptionist called Dr. Bass who was walking by and he promptly took my glasses, walked over to his desk and began repairing them. I was surprised because it happened so fast. He was extremely friendly and caring. He smiled and began working on my glasses while giving me a slight tease and said it couldn't be done. With that, he handed me my glasses perfectly fixed. I was amazed. They were perfect. I asked how much were the damages and he smiled and said no charge. I repeated again to make sure as I was happy to pay, and he said no bother and that he would appreciate if I would come back next time I needed anything. Wow. What service! This is awesome!
