He let's you know about alternatives available based on what you want and his experience. He offers good perspectives and provides cost conservative options as well. He does a good job walking you through a balance for your budget, not overselling you for his gain, but also direct if your dreams come with a price that might run you out of your budget. Second, his crew is amazing!! His lead, Martin, is a dream to work with. Whenever we wanted something just so, he always agreed and found a way to make it happen, never once making us feel our request was too much or annoying. If he ran into roadblocks, he brought us out to review them and consider options if the ground/slope or something was impacting our ask. His crew was respectful, used their portable facilities, and did an almost perfect job picking up after themselves each day. Third, the patience of all people involved was commendable. Taylor, his crew, and his subcontractors from concrete to electrical were very respectful, communicated well about their portion of the project and answered questions/addressed concerns as they came up. Our project did run over on time, but it was due to weather constraints and unforseen issues with our terain on a hillside. Surprisingly and as much as safely possible, the crew worked on inclination days to try to meet the quoted deadline as much as possible. When they couldn't come, that was well communicated. Now, everyone can use some constructive feedback and the one thing that stood out to us was that we would've like receiving the couple of supplement bid items we asked about a little sooner. You need to keep in mind that if you ask his crew to deviate from your original scope, they will move forward on it and you will have to pay for the change, as you should. So, if you're uncertain how/if your requests might impact your scope/bid pricing, loop in Taylor before his crew. The only other pickup we experienced was picking out materials and the stone place had put them back before Taylor picked it up. When picking your own materials, we found we had to check-in with Taylor a couple times regarding reminders for that. Despite our constructive feedback, considering the overall project and experience as well as our experience with other contractors, TC Landscaping gets a solid 5 star from us. We will consider using them again for our needs and referred them to family. Our family experienced a similar outcome, consistent with ours when adding a redwood staircase up a very steep slope and some other yard beautification.

At our family home in Fair Oaks, Robert and his wonderful team completed a comprehensive project that included a pool with beautiful water features, a firepit and sitting area, extensive concrete decking and walkways, and lovely landscaping. We couldn't have been happier with Majestic Builders due to the incredible final products, the efficient and clean building process, the creative approach, and the competitive pricing. From the very beginning, Robert and his team showed excitement over our challenging project rather than apprehension. Some other pool companies declined to bid on the project or were deterred when the county prevented us from removing some trees. Rather than be deterred, Robert and his team found a way to incorporate the pool into a different part of the yard, something that made our dreams a reality. And when it comes to pricing, they were very competitive. Additionally, there were no surprise costs, which was a great relief after some of the pool building stories that we heard. Our project finished well ahead of schedule. Almost every day, his team was on site working on our project. Hired Tellez landscaping to work on my new construction home aka a dirt back yard. I give them a…read moresolid C on their work. The good: Punctual Finished before deadline Nice concrete work The bad: Quoted one price, made promises about what we'd get, John sprung additional "over budget" costs at the end, despite the fact we discussed these items when we got our initial bid. Sneaky. Damaged my stucco in several areas; had to keep calling for them to repair. Repair is not even complete. Never heard from them again. Plants are spaced wonky ..... for example 2 flower bushes are close together and the third is another foot away, looks silly. Shade tree placed in yard is not centered on the hole that was dug, so the border looks crooked. drives me crazy!! Gate does not match fencing and it looks like crap. No really, it looks bad. Why have a non matching gate?! The gate is dog ear fencing and the rest of the fence is wire with framing. Space under gate was filled with random extra bricks instead of a kick board. Again, looks bad and lazy. They quoted us for 24x24 stepping stones only to get cheap ugly 12x12 stones. Also, at least 6 of our plants have died in the year since they landscaped. BOO!
