Instead of stopping there, he went above and beyond to find a specialized vendor who could repair the system, saving me an enormous amount of money. He also handled all the coordination with the vendor and oversaw getting everything reinstalled and working properly, which made the whole process seamless on my end. Throughout it all, Chris kept me informed every step of the way. His communication and follow-through were excellent, and I always felt taken care of. So waited to 6,000 miles and changed - oil so black that the mechanic said it hadn't been changed for a long time. So black- he started to look at the manufactured motor and said it's the same motor as the vehicle came with. Doesn't look like they replaced motor. Checking with owner of this shop to see. Also the cost for a new replacement refurbished motor is over $9,000 and a 100k warranty, rebuilt same motor just fixing head gasket is just over $6,000 and only 25,000 mile warranty . My current refurbished replacement motor has rough idle, engine light is on and can't reset engine light.

I've been using Timmons to take care of Angie, my 25' motorhome, since I moved to the East Bay area…read morea couple years ago. Dave and his crew are always helpful on the phone and when I bring it in. They work on both the truck part (mine is a Chevy 4500) and the coach part. Rates are reasonable. Timmons has done preventative maintenance, fixed some broken elements in the RV, "MacGyvered" some solutions, done tune-ups, checked my wheel bearings, and more. They can usually get you in within a few days, and if necessary can do a quick look at a problem if you need it sooner. Cons: They'll climb on the roof to inspect but they don't repair roof issues or leaks. Also they're closed weekends and are reluctant to keep your RV over those days (very little parking). A little hard to find as they're in the back area behind a cleaner and very little signage. Look for the driveway on the north side of the cleaners ;-)
