It's been years since I have been to this chain! Mostly because we never had a Golden Spoon very close to where we lived. Now there is one practically in walking distance! I'm not sure if they are all run differently but I remember another Golden Spoon being self serve. Maybe they changed it after the pandemic but honestly, I'm fine with it not being self serve. I never mastered using the froyo nozzles, lol. We just happened to go on a Friday night and apparently there was a special going on where instead of $1.95 for 2 toppings it was only five cents extra! Worth it! The employee was even kind enough to put the toppings on the side for my girls in case they didn't like what they chose (yes, it happens with kids all the time). The soft serve was absolutely delicious. There was a good variety of flavors, too! I got the chocolate and. Peanut butter in a mini cup and it was plenty! Now I have one by me on Jeffrey in Irvine and now this lovely location in Tustin on Irvine Blvd. My sister and I went around the world that day and last minute I pulled a fast right into the shopping center. Walked right in and was greeted immediately. The service here is stellar. Both employees, younger dude and young lady were nice and the young Sir was extra chipper. Great options on flavors and toppings bountiful! The one topping I wish they had and it's hard to describe were these crunchy brown ashy looking bits that I used to have back in the day. Finally got to try Golden Spoon. This frozen yogurt chain almost tastes like cool whip sometimes and leaves kind of a strange film aftertaste. I always appreciate the ability to sample as many flavors as I need. The caramel was a little too sweet for me but great flavor, the marshmallow was very light and probably the most cool whip like. I really enjoyed the tart since you can never go wrong with that flavor. Their deals are great, and great portion and not too expensive. I always prefer a smaller portion for less $, and getting a mini allows for two toppings but I didn't get any. Definitely another yogurt spot I'll be a frequent visitor for. read more

The mini size is enough for me and my little to share. The yogurt goes approximately and 1.5 times the height of the cup! Depending on the employee, how much you get is pretty inconsistent. Within the same visit, the amount was significantly different between my friend and I because two different people served us separately. And, very different from my first visit.
