Small delicious froyo shop! A lot cheaper than Yogurtland! ~$3-7 for single serving and large sharable servings of froyo. They had a dairy free flavor and no sugar added flavor also! Creamy and delicious! They do offer samples of their froyo flavors, but the only downside is that it isn't DIY so you can't scoop the toppings or get the froyo on your own. Clean frozen yogurt shop that let's the workers give you samples instead of own self-serve. They have limited flavors but my favorite is their peanut butter! Has a nice nutty taste and the consistency of the froyo is very creamy. Not icy at all. I love how much they give you for their size. I got the mini (~$5) which you can pick up to 2 flavors but I chose to stick with PB. The size is huge the size of your hand (as you can see in my picture below). They have tables in their mini area and give you a lid to take to go as well. They also had toppings for extra charge but I stuck to just the froyo. This is a no froyo shop that does the job taste wise and expect simple flavors and options. read more

It's been years since I have been to this chain! Mostly because we never had a Golden Spoon very close to where we lived. Now there is one practically in walking distance! I'm not sure if they are all run differently but I remember another Golden Spoon being self serve. Maybe they changed it after the pandemic but honestly, I'm fine with it not being self serve. I never mastered using the froyo nozzles, lol. We just happened to go on a Friday night and apparently there was a special going on where instead of $1.95 for 2 toppings it was only five cents extra! Worth it! The employee was even kind enough to put the toppings on the side for my girls in case they didn't like what they chose (yes, it happens with kids all the time). The soft serve was absolutely delicious. There was a good variety of flavors, too! I got the chocolate and. Peanut butter in a mini cup and it was plenty! They fill the cup so high honestly I didn't need any bigger of a size. We will definitely be back again soon! Most likely on a Friday because that $5 mini cup deal is totally worth it! read more

Came for a little treat. My first impression was ooooooo this is the first time I go to a froyo place and it's not self serve. Not a biggie tbh The menu was pretty simple and straightforward. Will say flavors are a tad bit limited but nothing wrong with that. Makes choosing easy. Am I right. I was debating between a few flavors and they gave me samples!! Always nice to see. I ended up opting for Original tart which for me was a perfect everything for this flavor. Was too sour or sweet. A good balance. And I also got and watermelon Sorbet and as also pretty refreshing to me. So both were a good combination. They had a few topping and I ended up getting mochi as well. The portion was pretty generous. Again I think the portion might vary based on the person but for my mini it was quite enough!!! The inside was super clean. Has a bit of seating, and had a cute little back drop. And it was pretty fast paced at least to me. And the girls were helpful. I haven't been to a Golden Spoon in forever so this was a nostalgic excursion! We came after lunch and got there at a good time before the crowd flocked in. The place is clean and they have a cute backdrop for pictures. The staff was nice and efficient. We ordered the strawberry and salted caramel froyo in a cup. We got the smallest size but it was still a generous portion. Strawberry- This was refreshing with a good mixture of sweetness and tartness that tickles your tastebuds. Salted Caramel- Rich and creamy with a deep caramel flavor. The base ice cream had the perfect texture. Great place for something sweet! read more

I just don't understand why their flavors change so infrequently and why they would only have 1 worker on a Sunday night during the summer. We waited nearly 20 minutes to place our order. We were craving some frozen yogurt so we decided to stop by! Parking was super easy, quick service, friendly staff, and the place had a clean and casual ambience. We got to sample their flavors and we ended up getting the Cookie Butter and Simply Tart flavor. The yogurt was smooth and creamy. Simply Tart had the right amount of tang without being too sour. I've been standing here for 15 min one person working. Employee had to call the owner multiple times for 1 order. Watched 10 people come and go walking out because they're understaffed. The employee is really nice but maybe have more than 1 person during last week of school? . There is nobody in front of us but with 1 person working and trying to pack DoorDash order that's all the employee is doing. We also would have left but told my kid I'd get it for her. read more

So glad this location opened this year! It's located in a fairly big plaza so parking shouldn't be an issue. When my son and I visit, we always walk out super happy. This last visit, Vania, welcomed us, offered samples and had a great overall vibe and outstanding customer service. So glad she recommended the banana cream pie because my son and I both fell in love and ended up ordering it. She told us about the Friday $5 mini special. Love that we came at the right time. Deeeeelish So glad to see Golden Spoon is back in play. Now I have one by me on Jeffrey in Irvine and now this lovely location in Tustin on Irvine Blvd. My sister and I went around the world that day and last minute I pulled a fast right into the shopping center. Walked right in and was greeted immediately. The service here is stellar. Both employees, younger dude and young lady were nice and the young Sir was extra chipper. Great options on flavors and toppings bountiful! The one topping I wish they had and it's hard to describe were these crunchy brown ashy looking bits that I used to have back in the day. They may have been from Penguins lol but either way, I could've sworn Golden had them too. Anywho, the servings are generous and everything is fresh! I walked out of there a happy camper and killed my ice cream in mere minutes once I got home :D We will definitely be back and I wish that location much success read more

Finally got to try Golden Spoon. This frozen yogurt chain almost tastes like cool whip sometimes and leaves kind of a strange film aftertaste. I always appreciate the ability to sample as many flavors as I need. The caramel was a little too sweet for me but great flavor, the marshmallow was very light and probably the most cool whip like. I really enjoyed the tart since you can never go wrong with that flavor. Their deals are great, and great portion and not too expensive. I always prefer a smaller portion for less $, and getting a mini allows for two toppings but I didn't get any. Definitely another yogurt spot I'll be a frequent visitor for. read more

Just to be clear, it is $1.75 for unlimited toppings that will fit in your cup, and you can ask for a small cup on the side for toppings, too so you can continue to add them as you're eating. I made the mistake of only getting sprinkles for my daughter my first time and paying $1.75 for them... oops. The portion size is really generous. The mini size is enough for me and my little to share. The yogurt goes approximately and 1.5 times the height of the cup! Depending on the employee, how much you get is pretty inconsistent. Within the same visit, the amount was significantly different between my friend and I because two different people served us separately. And, very different from my first visit. Perhaps this is something they're still working on as it recently opened! read more

I'm glad there's a Golden Spoon close to me again. I was sad when the one on Chapman closed. I've always enjoyed their yogurt compared to other yogurt places. We went today for opening day for the free mini from 12:00PM-1:00PM. My daughters tried strawberry, chocolate, and vanilla. I ordered a regular vanilla with brownie bites. We enjoyed what we ordered! Simple and delicious. A little on the pricier side, but portions did not disappoint. You can mix and match 2 flavors on the mini and 3 flavors on the regular. The single topping fee allows you to put as many different toppings as will fit. On the mini size we were able to get two toppings on the side. Also, I didn't care for the wafers they give you either. While I appreciate that they can complement the ice cream well (they resembled those classic cake ice cream cones), the wafers had more of a soft, semi-stale texture rather than a crisp one (unless that's they way they're supposed to be). All and all, considering how they're one of the only Persian ice cream joints around, Saffron Rose is by no means bad in any way. At the very least, their ice cream is certainly unique and even better than some of the gelatos I've had. However, as someone who prefers a more classic, creamy scoop of ice cream, I think Saffron Rose is just okay. My gf, on the other hand, is definitely a fan, so I'm sure more scoops of their Mango and French Espresso will be in my future the next time we visit when we're back in town again! However, when I ate them, it was pretty underwhelming. I might be biased because I'm used to cake-based donuts, but I felt them to be bland and dry. The toppings I thought would give it the sweetness I desired, but it didn't help much unfortunately. It was pretty much like eating bread with minimal amount of sweetness from the toppings. I'm glad I gave Oliboli a shot and tried their donuts. The service is great, but the donuts, not so much. I'm going to stick with the old fashioned donuts.

There were about three small tables available inside where you can enjoy your treats, along with a bench outside for those who prefer a bit of fresh air. We visited on a Wednesday, which meant a lovely dollar-off deal, and on Tuesday, you also enjoyed free toppings! It's great to know that you can snag some sweet midweek deals that last all day. The highlight of our visit was definitely the friendly staff. The young man who helped us was super accommodating and even let us sample a few flavors before we made our selections. While I appreciate that they can complement the ice cream well (they resembled those classic cake ice cream cones), the wafers had more of a soft, semi-stale texture rather than a crisp one (unless that's they way they're supposed to be). All and all, considering how they're one of the only Persian ice cream joints around, Saffron Rose is by no means bad in any way. At the very least, their ice cream is certainly unique and even better than some of the gelatos I've had. However, as someone who prefers a more classic, creamy scoop of ice cream, I think Saffron Rose is just okay. My gf, on the other hand, is definitely a fan, so I'm sure more scoops of their Mango and French Espresso will be in my future the next time we visit when we're back in town again!
