The bar area is very aesthetic and we enjoyed sitting in the more private area downstairs which allowed us to talk without too much noise. Focaccia - One of our favorite items from the meal. It was super soft with a light crust and seasoned lightly with herbs on top. It paired so well with the olive oil that made it a nice salty savory appetizer to start. Arancini a la Barolo - The arancini was lightly crunchy and didn't feel oily. I loved the parmesan cheese added on top because it had a nice bitterness that contrasted the more savory and rich vegetable flavors inside. Salsiccia - A simple pizza where the crust was thin but held very well. The pork sausage on top was savory and had a nice bite to it that tasted good with the white alfredo like sauce and fresh, crunchy red onions. We enjoyed trying their menu items and would definitely come back to eat at their main restaurant area next time.

The service was outstanding. The team took time to talk with us about the restaurant's history, the inspiration behind the food, and the owners' story. Wolfsbane is the new venture from Carrie and Rupert Blease, who previously ran Lord Stanley, a Michelin starred restaurant in Russian Hill, alongside Tommy Halvorson, formerly of Serpentine. The presentation of the dishes was incredible, and most of the courses were exceptional. A couple were just okay, but I really appreciate the creativity and willingness to experiment. There was real thought behind the ingredients, combinations, and presentation, rather than simply repeating what works. Wolfsbane earned a Michelin star in 2026, less than a year after opening, and I can see the potential for even greater recognition. An ambitious, memorable restaurant that is doing something different in San Francisco. Highly recommended for a special night out!

Wolfsbane is far more than a restaurant--it is a magical culinary fantasyland. From the moment we entered, we were transported into a world of creativity, beauty, warmth and hospitality. The food, presentations, pacing and beverage pairings were exceptional. The opening snacks were imaginative and beautifully executed. The onion petals brought back wonderful memories of Lord Stanley. Rupert's sunflower presentation left us astonished: edible bites of artichoke, toasted seed butter and poppy were nestled within a real sunflower so ingeniously that we initially thought the entire arrangement was simply a floral centerpiece. It was nearly impossible to see where nature ended and the culinary creation began. Every course was remarkable. The squash with apple and celery was particularly exquisite, and we loved the caviar, king salmon, cabbage, scallop, turbot, squab, Pain au Jus, Japanese A5 Wagyu, cheese, stone fruit and strawberry. Each course possessed its own identity and sense of discovery, yet the entire menu flowed together seamlessly. The beverage pairing was equally brilliant. Every selection was precisely matched to its course and introduced us to combinations we never would have imagined ourselves. The unexpected Den Sake with the squash was especially memorable. Carrie is an extraordinarily knowledgeable and elegant sommelier, but it was the warmth and grace with which she guided us that made the experience educational, personal and joyful. The entire team deserves recognition. Alex was truly the "cheese magician." Yadi served us graciously with a wonderful smile. Victor "Hugo" appeared at exactly the right moments. Carlos's relaxed and welcoming manner made us feel at home. Anya had a quiet, comforting presence, while David was confident, focused and personable. The skill and dedication of everyone working behind the scenes were evident in every beautifully executed detail. We have been fortunate to dine at celebrated restaurants from The French Laundry to Paul Bocuse's legendary restaurant in France, and we sincerely believe that the food and experience at Wolfsbane stand second to none. Wolfsbane is culinary artistry, theater and hospitality at their highest level--an experience that engaged our senses, awakened our imaginations and made the outside world disappear. We could not have chosen a more meaningful place to celebrate our 41st anniversary, and we will treasure the memory forever.

This was my 4th time visiting Cavaña, and we had a large party with a section outside. As usual,…read morethe vibes were immaculate. Our party ordered paloma's, espresso martinis, and even some food. It was my first time ordering an espresso martini, and to be honest I don't think it's for me. On the other hand, I was pleasantly surprised by how flavorful the steak burrito was. It was rather small, but actually very good. The service was good. They were pretty busy, but still got us everything we needed in a timely manner. I highly recommend this spot. I think it's a nice place to chill at, whether you want to have a laid back night with good views, or start your night here to pregame and go somewhere else. Can't go wrong!

At Cavaña, you're far enough away but you can still see the Blue Angels practicing if that's what you're looking for. Located inside LUMA Hotel, Cavaña is from the owner behind KAIYŌ and Novela. The rooftop bar offers panoramic views of the city skyline, the Bay Bridge, and Oracle Park. Rezzies are highly recommended. Even on a non-event night at Oracle Park and Chase Center, it was poppin'.
