I live in Tucson currently and will drive the 2 hours just to have my hair done by her. I send everyone I know to her and they all still see her. She is the best! Update: I still haven't heard from Brigitte as to why she felt that is was necessary to burn off about 10inches of my hair and then not do anything to rectify the situation. when I asked her to color it and burned it off, she refused to refund my money back when I had "loss of hair". I left a message for the owner of the salon and still haven't heard from her. I can't believe that Brigitte burnt off all my hair and she is refusing to refund my money alone any pain or suffering. I'll be taking this salon to small claims court and report Brigitte cosmo license and she had no idea how to color hair and the poor customer service she renders. So disappointed Ever wonder what it would be like to have stylist at golden rule salon color your hair and not do anything to rectify the situation. Below is what you will get. This stylist completely burned my hair off with the bleach she let her assistant use without any supervision. This is a daily slap in the face. Stay far away from this salon. If Anthropologie opened a salon, it would look like Golden Rule! Adorable doesn't even cover it. I see Sharisa once a month or so to tame my gray roots and trim my long hair. I always leave feeling gorgeous and she knows just how to cut it to make sure it grows out with minimal damage. Once in awhile we throw some ombré highlights in the ends, and they always turn out great. They are an exclusive Bumble & Bumble salon, which is nice that they use such a high end product- only the best for my hairs :) Don't miss this hidden gem in Mesa! I love it. read more

I came in to see Lindsey for a hair trial for my wedding. She did such a fabulous job I booked her on the spot. When the big day came she arrived at my venue and styled my hair exactly like my trial. I didn't even have to show her a picture as she remembered. She did an amazing job. I have very long (nearly waist length) hair that from the sheer weight tends to not hold a curl long. Lindsey did a great job and my hair style lasted all day and night! Our wedding was in October so it was still a little warm during the day and the style held up. I also used Kay for my makeup and she did a fantastic job. My makeup did not feel heavy on my face and did not "melt" off. I have never looked more beautiful! My makeup and even my false lashes held up through the night of dancing, pictures and crying. The salon itself has an adorable shabby chic theme that I love! The decor is adorable without looking kitschy. There were lots of stations with plenty of stylists. The prices were not outrageous. They use Bumble and Bumble products exclusively as well. This is a fantastic salon. My whole family had a great experience. Brigitte did a great job with my whole families (5 of us) cuts and colors. It was nice because we all had different styles, cuts and colors. She listened to what we wanted and did exactly as we asked. The salons location was a little concerning at first, but once we got inside it was extremely clean and nice. Everyone at the salon was very friendly and polite. I called Salon Amarian and am so glad I didn't get a call back from Golden Rule because not only did I actually talk to a person, but I got in when I requested and have to say that Dorian gave me the best haircut and color with teal highlights . I visited the Golden Rule Salon for the first time a couple of weeks ago to visit my regular stylist Jennifer Duarte. She did an AMAZING job per usual and I will never visit anyone else - she's been cutting my hair for almost 10 years now and I have never been disappointed. True talent, I strongly recommend her. I was hoping NOT to post the lowest score for this salon because I had received a good first consult with the OWNER/stylist AIMEE. And waited a week to express my utter disappointment in hopes she would of been professional and reached out before me posting. She does great work based on here reviews online and from my consult visit,, she was very nice, knowledgeable, and I was excited to get my new hair color/style and looking forward to my salon visit. . I had told her that I was new to the State of AZ and had MANY connections as my company moved us here and was going to recommend her clients .. all my co coworkers . The consult went well. We both agreed on my color/cut recommendations and proceeded to the reception desk. Where she asked so would you like to book? I was jazzed... yes! I replied. I took out my phone and we verbally agreed to a specific time and date. Mind you.. there was a receptionist sitting there and as I'M putting the apt in my phone.. the OWNER AIMEE.. said "ok see you then" neither of the wrote down the apt. But I wasn't worried.. I was booked with the OWNER. I show up for my 12:30 apt on a sat and the receptionist sends a quick text.. I can tell by her face.. it was not good. She proceeded to say "your apt was at 10:30".. I'm not blaming the receptionist,, however it was like "oh well" sorry"! Have a nice day!! I told her I clearly remember writing down the time as confirmed from AIMEE. Her response was "each stylist is responsible for their own apt " and by the way.. thanks and have a nice day! I oh and text AIMEE to reschedule with her directly! I was obviously upset.. I immediately texted AIMEE and told her the above.. and obviously there was a miscommunication I even asked to reschedule!!! Did she respond?!!! NOPE! I waited a whole week to give her the benefit of the doubt. Very unprofessional AIMEE. Perhaps you thought I intentionally missed my apt.. but not so plus ,, I never received any call asking.. if I was on my way. If you were waiting for me to arrive AIMEE wouldn't you think to call or text me to ask where am if you were waiting ?! Little do you know... I had specifically coordinated my sat the day of.. and was at the dealer getting my car serviced that morning at the Honda Dealer which was less than 10 min away.. one phone call would of changed the whole situation. Your DBA is GOLDEN RULE.. you clearly didn't treat your customer the way they should of been treated. I recommend you change your salon name . You don't live by those principals. read more

Very dissatisfied with the haircut I received. Doubt if I will ever return to Golden Rule Salon. Not only was the stylist, Stephanie Tilby, rude, but she did not listen to how I wanted it cut. We all have bad days, but you do not need to take it out on a customer. She asked if the cut was how I wanted it, I said yes, but was afraid to tell her no for fear she would chop off more of my hair. read more
