I'm going by memory with some of this so I can't remember some details. If I can't remember…read moresomething exactly, I'll state that. I'm trying to give an honest accounting of my experience. I added the dealership on Yelp! under Cedar Hill Auto shortly after this happened. I requested a name change on Yelp! to Ed's Sleds since that's the result you get on google. I posted the exact same review on Google for Cedar Hill. Since you can't find that name but you can find Ed's Sleds on Google, I'm posting this almost two years later. Yeah, our experience was THAT bad. We purchased the car almost two years ago. The dealership was called Cedar Hill Auto at the time. That signage may still be there or he may have changed it to Ed's Sleds. I'm not sure. I try to avert my eyes when I pass by so as not to bring on a stroke from my blood pressure skyrocketing. I'll start with the good, the owner's daughter. I can't remember her name but she was an absolute delight. She was kind, helpful, professional and would be a great asset to another dealership or anywhere else that requires good customer service (she could teach a certain someone a thing or two about that). Yeah, that's all I have as far as the good. Now, let's get into the meat of it. The owner has known my husband and members of his family for over 30 years. That didn't stop him from selling us an absolute lemon. The day after we bought the car, I knew something was wrong with it. It seemed like it was taking too long to shift gears and it just wasn't 'right'. There was another issue when backing up, I think it was something like stuttering or something. My husband took it to a GM dealership for diagnostics and no codes came up. We paid out of pocket for it. It was a sign of things to come. Then, I started to smell exhaust when going uphill (we live on a hill sooo...). My husband checked for a leak but couldn't find one. Before he could schedule another appointment, the car died (RIP SRX). My son and I had just pulled into our driveway after a 3-4 hour round-trip car ride when the transmission went out. Thank God we made it home safely. I put the car in reverse, tried to back up and nothing. We had the car towed to Coughlin where it sat for weeks waiting for the transmission guy to get to it. That's when we get the news; before the warranty company would decide if they would to cover it or not, we would have to pay hundreds out of pocket for them to tear the transmission apart to diagnose the problem. This is after already dropping over $3k for front brakes and rotors, the down payment, a SINGLE car payment and car rental. At this point, my husband was so frustrated and angry that he had the car towed back to Cedar Hill/Ed's Sleds in Heath where it sat. We had the car for about six weeks at this point. At one point, my husband stopped in to talk to his 'old friend' about our experience. Ed said something about the review I left for Cedar Hill on Google. He didn't say any of it was a lie just that he didn't appreciate it or something to that effect. Not sorry. Ed, you screwed us out of thousands of dollars and knew the transmission was junk. You knew and some of your actions the day we bought it prove you did. BTW, the owner and at least one family member have submitted reviews to Google. Look for reviews by anyone with the last name of Guy. I reported those to Google so I don't know how long they'll be there but I have screenshots and I added them to my Yelp! review. Before you consider buying a car from here, ask yourself these questions: If he would screw over someone he's known for thirty plus years, do you think you'll be different? If a business has to have reviews added by the owner and his family, are they reliable? Are they trust worthy? Are you willing to put your children/grandchildren/spouse/yourself in a car that could break down on the side of the road and leave you stranded in snow, rain, heat or any of Ohio's bipolar weather? If you answered no to any of those do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. ***This is my review from a couple of years ago when it was called Cedar Hill. It's the same crooked owner who would probably rip off his own grandma. I added it here because everyone needs to be warned about this place. Yeah Ed, I'm going to keep posting this wherever and whenever I can. You deserve it for the way you treat people.

Ohio law…read moreprohibits car dealer vehicle sales with illegal tint, so they should have addressed this before selling the car. I requested reimbursement for the ticket I received as well as the replacement of the tint on the first and second row side windows, not the back windows. They refuse to reimburse the full amount because the second row windows in Ohio don't have any restrictions, same for the back window. I didn't agree to a purchase of a vehicle with mismatch tint, so I guess my next step if filing a lawsuit.

We had seen the exact car we wanted on CarGurus and asked if it was still available. We were coming…read morefrom PA and set up an appointment with Matthew to see and test drive it the next day. He offered to walk around the car and video it or take any additional pictures we wanted. That was unnecessary as there were many pictures on CarGurus, and we felt pretty confident as the dealership had a 5 star rating. We live in Kentucky and were visiting family in Pittsburgh area for Christmas, so the drive home made this stop barely out of our way. However, due to van problems with our current vehicle's tires we were later getting to the dealership. We kept in contact though, and Matthew was ready with the vehicle when we arrived. It was a beautiful 2018 Prius 4, and we were ready to buy. Unfortunately, my checkbook had been left at home in KY by mistake and, due to our tire mishap, we were too late to do a wire transfer from our bank. The finance guy was awesome, though I cannot remember his name, and worked something out with us to enable us to drive out with the vehicle that day! What above and beyond service! They were such a blessing and saved us another round trip of about 7 hours, if we had had to come back another day. So thankful! What a super company!
