I would recommend calling first for whatever service you are looking for. I drove from East Orlando, and upon coming in at the time of opening the man there barely looked up at me and told me no he's too busy to do anything. Completely messed up an alteration to where my son could not use the item. The tailor didnt take into account a wide chest area that needed to be fixed (as he said he couldn't do it) the arms ended up coming to my sons elbows. Would NOT recommend. read more

Do not use this business! I dropped off two items to be tailored. At pickup, I paid $84 and got home to see that one item wasn't touched. No tailoring or altering was done to one of my items that I had measured, dropped off for almost a week and PAID FOR. I called and asked for a refund and the man said he didn't know how...then after a few minutes, he said that he refunded me. I NEVER RECEIVED THE REFUND. You can't make this stuff up. Anyway, just wanted to let you guys know. Google any other tailor and save yourself the trouble. read more

I had a bridesmaid dress that I needed taken in at the waist. When I worked downtown Orlando I always took my alternations to the same place. However, now that I work in Winter Garden, I needed a place more convenient. When I put the dress on for sizing during drop off, the gentleman didn't mark the dress. I asked if he needed to and he said he would remember. That was the first time I had that experience. It was a Wednesday when I dropped it off and was told to pick it up the following Wednesday. The following Wednesday I stopped by after work and my dress wasn't completed. Actually, it hadn't been touched. It was obvious that it was forgotten about. The gentleman apologized and asked if I could come back the same time the next day. Obviously, I couldn't say no because I needed the dress. The following day I again stopped by after work. Thankfully, my dress was finished. However, it was not taken in enough. Unfortunately, I waited until the last minute to have the dress altered so I could not afford to leave it another evening. This is when my experience got worse. The price I was charged was outrageous. $85.00, not including tax!! Just to have the dress taken in at the waist!! I was stunned by the price. The dress itself was only $130.00. I understand prices are going up, however, $85.00 is a bit much. Especially when the dress wasn't ready as quoted. My experience was subpar. Next time I need an alteration I will be going elsewhere. read more

I seldom need tailoring services. Usually when the jeans don't come in the correct length and just looks too "unfit, is about it. I will always come here for any alterations from now on! David's Bridal couldn't do my alterations for a bridesmaids dress within a month so I was scrambling to find somewhere with good reviews. Golden Needle came highly recommended. Located in a strip mall, I didn't know what to expect, but there was plenty of parking. It's a small store next to AT&T. I put my dress on and it was quickly marked for alterations. He knew exactly what needed to be done! I was in and out in 10 minutes. He said it would be ready in a week! I came back a week later and my dress fit perfectly! There was not one bit of the dress that felt too big or small. I was really impressed with the turnaround time. A few minor thing that bothered me. I wish the dress would've been steamed for me. It was returned terribly wrinkled. There is a reason this guy has 5 stars. I literally just got to my car after picking up two shirts I had altered to my liking. A shirt turned into a tank top and a tank top shortened bc I didn't like the way it was hanging on the sides. He nailed it. Update: After reviewing my pictures and I can see the BLATANT unevenness in the hem of my dress. And I need to get my dress hemmed again if I plan on rewearing it for another occasion. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- He finished it in three days. He steamed it to get rid of the wrinkles. However, I brought in an expensive long gown to be hemmed and the hem was uneven. When I picked up the dress I examined the hem and noticed immediately the front of the gown was longer than the back. After trying it on I could visibly see the difference. The back of my dress did not touch the floor meanwhile the front of my dress dragged. My event was the next day. I voiced my concerns but the tailor reassured me that the front of my dress was not longer than the back and did not offer to fix it. I thought I was being paranoid. The next evening at my formal event other people noticed the uneven hem and pointed it out to me. For $64 to hem three layers, I expect my dress to be completed correctly or even an offer to fix a visible mistake. I was sad about this and I need to find lower heels so I get it hemmed correctly with another tailor. read more

I finally found an AWESOME tailor! Super friendly (doesn't say much, but still he smiled and was polite), quick and well done! Was able to get a pair of jeans hemmed up in a day! No extra charge, he just took care of it quickly. Great location as well, easy to park and get to, well maintained shop and store as well. Decent prices, $10 for pants to get hemmed. There are places that do alterations (I.e. dry cleaners), and then there are TAILORS...the latter is harder to come by. This gentleman IS a real gentleman, as well as an excellent tailor. I'm happy to pay him more because his work is impeccable. read more

Is it bad to say Asians are awesome tailors? HELL NO! This place rocks and the owner is always willing to knock out a quick alteration project for you when you are in a pinch. I needed some patch work done on college uniforms ASAP and when all the tailors in the Downtown Orlando "VI-MI" district were saying NO, the owner here told me YES! Honestly, I had mostly great experiences and a couple of subpar ones. There is one tailor there. I've had dresses taken in, jeans and pants hemmed, some waist reductions to some suit pants. suit jackets tailored to fit and even bought some fabric to add onto a dress. Overall the work is great. There are times I get nervous because the tailor marks the areas of the clothes to be hemmed so quickly with a chalk mark. My first experience I said to myself, " he's either great and so experienced or crap he's going to mess it up." 90% of the time it's on point. My bad experience is that he took too much of a blouse in that it was too tight to wear. (This situation brought me to lose a few pounds so I can fit into it which is great.) The other incident is when my sons jacket was still too big after he altered the sides. Word of advice, get your alterations needs well in advance before your event or party and try it on before you leave the store. Perhaps it can be fixed right then and there or you'll have time to wait for that perfect fit to be made! read more

Ive had other including Nordstrom do alterations an they didn't even come close. His customer service is always pleasant he aims to please with perfection. Good work, 30-40% overpriced. Who I believe to be the owner/manager, seems like a very nice gentlemen and they did very good work. However, to bring in a sport coat a tiny bit and hem pant legs on one pair of slacks should not cost $53. I just got done getting two other sport coats, two dress shirts and one pair of slacks done the same at another tailor across town and it was about the same cost (thats over double the volume of work for the same price). read more
