I have been taking things here for years for alterations and they have always done a great job. Recently, however, instead of taking the usual one week, it has been taking wayyyy longer. I waited around a month last time. The work they do is great but it seems like they need more help. Also, whenever I call, no one answers. The hours online are not correct. I showed up on a Saturday during the listed hours and no one was there. I ended up getting my last batch of clothes back after the event I needed them for. Again, they used to take a week but this time took about a month and no updates were given. read more

Brought three floor length dressed to be hemmed. The first time, I brought a David's Bridal bridesmaid dress to be hemmed that was $30. It came out great by this sweet spanish lady that did not speak english. The following week I came back and brought two floor length dresses to be hemmed as well. This time it was a younger girl that pinned my dresses. I requested that the dresses touch the ground and drag a little. The girl nodded and smiled and said okay. This time they charged me $45 for each dress. I mentioned that they only charged me $30 last week but she said that my dress had too many layers. Both dresses only had two layers just like the initial dress I brought in the previous week. Since it is normally a cash only place I only brought $60. The older lady said she'll take card. I asked if I could just bring more cash when I came to pick up the dresses. She said no and that she could take my credit card now. My total was $91. They tacked on an additional $1 for the credit card usage fee. When I came to collect my dresses the following the day. They weren't hanging on the initial hangers that I initially brought them in. They were both draped on one single hanger. Since one of the dresses was a strapless dress I made sure to bring a bottom hanger for that specific dress. I tried on the dresses with the same heels from two days ago and to my dismay both dresses were too short. The bottom did not touch the floor as I requested. My friends recommended this place to me because of the competitive pricing and I was happy the first time. This second experience has me seeking an alternative tailor. Ownership has changed hands. This explains the hike in prices and low quality in execution and service. Terrible. Will never return. read more

This is my go to shop for alterations, it's service while you wait and they get down to business to make sure you don't receive your article of clothing 24 hours from then.. Kudos to the quick service and they do a great job as long as you specify exactly what you want. I had a great experiences here when I got to visually show the workers here what needed to be done. Last time was failure due to allowing them to put a badge on my martial arts uniform where they thought was right and it looks like my flag is going to do a back flip...eh.. All the other times I came here for pants heming, and other sewing of badges they did a phenominal job. Average cost for hems are $5.61...I had several occassions of running in and out of there in 5 minutes due to on the spot service. Overall a quick place to sew whatever...oh yeah and they accept cash only.. o_O read more

I had two shirts' sleeves taken up here. They cut the cuff off, cut the excess fabric which they measured with me wearing the shirts beforehand, and it still came up too short. The gauntlet button on the sleeve placket is now way too close to the cuff so it's now a pain to unbutton and I can't roll up my sleeves as easily. If I leave the button undone so I can roll them up, it puckers and looks bad. Furthermore, the sewing done wasn't very good at all. It was frayed and ripping within the next day. Unfortunately there's also a communication gap since they mainly only speak Spanish. They can understand and communicate but for something so specific like tailoring where exact measurement is needed, they couldn't quite understand what I was saying. What's worse is that when the sleeves were cut too short, she acted like it was what I wanted when I specifically told her where I wanted the cuff to hit on my wrist. I had to insist her to redo it and it still came up too short. She also threw away the original shirt fabric she cut so there was no going back at that point to fix it. In conclusion, I ended up having to buy two new shirts to replace the ones they botched. read more

This place is absolutely the worst service and wouldn't call what they do actual tailoring. Need the sleeves let out on my jacket and they almost ruined my jacket. They managed the mess up the the liner to my jacket thank God they didn't cut any material off. Also they are highly disrespectful and said talked down about the issues I was having with the suit in Spanish to her co-worker luckily I am fluent in Spanish and demanded my money returned. Went across the street to Le's where she undid all the terrible work this place has done. She even gave me a discount for my trouble. read more

Josey's gets the job done for less. I had a wool blazer and 3 wool dress pants taken in for less than $40! I went to Le's Alterations across the street in the past and it was much more expensive. The owner immediately knew what I wanted. The only complaint I have is that I found a pin in the blazer. But other than that the service was quick and you'll get your items back within a day or two. Just don't forget they only take CASH! Do yourself a favor and go to Josey's. You won't regret it. read more

The overall experience here was terrible! We took my finance's wedding suit here to be tailored and we weren't even greeted. Someone just came up to my fiancé and started pining him without talking to him. They did not provide suggestions on how to make the suit fit properly.
