Got my SNS nails taken off said that's all I needed. My nails were healthy and long, one of the three people who helped me cut my nails without asking and didn't file or shape them. My nails are now uneven and short definitely was not worth the $15 they charged me for sitting there for over an hour with my nails soaking. read more

This damn lady GLUED MY EYES SHUT! And then tried pulling all my eyelashes off to open my eyes. And then put a fan on my eyes talking about once the glue dries we will try opening them- WTF. Then she left as I frantically tried opening my eyes to see wtf she had done. She glued the top eyelashes to my bottom eyelashes! When I say tears ripping them apart! I literally had to fix it myself which took me 20minutes!!! To remove them from being stuck together while she left the room cuz she didn't know what to do. Furious!! The fastest pedicure I've ever received... Lisa did my pedicure and she literally rushed through it and seemed so annoyed that I didn't want gel (she asked me four times)! She was extremely aggressive with the pumice stone and massaging the same spot on my calf as if trying to cause me pain. When it was time to dry she was forcefully pulling my feet under the dryer completely disregarding personal space... I've never had such a terrible experience getting a spa treatment like a pedicure, I left feeling so aggravated and violated... Whatever her problem is she shouldn't take it out on her clients. This was the worst nail shop I been too in my entire life. I just moved here and needed a pedicure it literally took sis 15 min to half do a pedicure for 40 bucks. I usually go to the shop when I'm in the area and each time I've been it seems like they get worse and worse. I gave everyone that have done my nails the benefit but they DEFINITELY need more training. The ladies are pretty decent but the guys needs more training and to learn not to rush through their clients just to get paid. I went today for a fill in and walked out paying extra bc they said my nails were long and my nails were half polished. They were not fake nails by the way but natural. I asked for a repolish and everyone was looking at me as if nobody heard me. Had me waiting an hour almost for a repolish after I already paid and gave a tip! I wouldnt recommend anyone to go here unless you're desperate! Polishing seems to be something they really suck at.. overall THEY SUCK!! Just throw the whole shop away at this point! I have been here twice, both time I was given a gift card from my family for Christmas. The first time I went with my sisters that came in out of town, we all we not happy and felt as we were over charged for what I asked for. I asked for a clear coat on my finger nails, my nails took about six months to start growing after many hours trying to take off what they put on my nails. A year later around the first of March 2021 I went back to get a pedicure. I am very unhappy with the quality of work and will look for somewhere else to go for my next pedicure. Fast service. Got a pedicure and manicure. The pedicure was good. For the manicure I got the acrylic overlay in a soft pink and white ombré with coffin tips. The overlay and shaping was done very well. The only downside that I experience with many manicures is the lack of nail care. They put oil on my cuticles but they weren't touched otherwise. I think this would've made the finished product look better. I also have a couple of calluses on my hands from working out and an exfoliating scrub or something would've been nice. I was hesitant to go to this place after reading the reviews here but my experience was great. I've been to a lot of nail places since I travel for business and this was one of the good spots. They didn't rush through my pedicure and I enjoyed the thorough leg massage I give it 3 stars because they don't use sanitary individual packed tools for each customer. They do sanitize after each use but if you are worried about getting infections, I would ask first. I've never had a problem and the staff were very friendly. Thank you!! read more

I've been here a few times and it's been okay. This past time was so disappointing....I just got a gel manicure and it's probably the worst I've had. Had a light pink color and the nail tech only put one coat of polish on! He preceded to put the top coat on when I asked for at least a second coat since you could see right through it. The second coat was sloppy. My nails look glooopy and one of my nails even has a streak through it. Also they weren't filed evenly at all. Could have done a better job at home and wishing I would have spoken up before I left. read more

I just moved to the area and needed to find a salon to get my nails and eyebrows done. I am a frequent customer of a local salon in Columbia who did amazing! I was hoping that I would find a place like this in Sumter. This salon was close to my house and convenient to where I shop. When I walked in I was immediately greeted. I told them what I wanted and they started my foot bath. I chose my toe color and they handed me the gel polish colors to choose. Before I could choose my color for my nails, they took the gel samples away from me to give to another customer. The place seemed a little unsanitary compared to what I was used to. My foot bath was cold, they did not use any tablets or salts in the bath, and the tech didn't even trim my toenails. I had to ask specifically for her to do it. She didn't get any of my calluses off of my feet (I work retail so my feet get torn up) and she didn't give me a top coat on my toes. Then we went to do the hands - she didn't even give me a manicure - which I asked for at the beginning. She trimmed my nails, filed them, and then did the gel polish. She did do a decent job with the gel, but it could have been better. The one thing she did do well was my eyebrows. I was pleased with the final product, however, the whole time I was nervous that she was going to wax them right off based on the mani/pedi I had just received. The experience was lackluster at best. I will try a different salon before going back here. read more

I've been going here for a while and it's such a hit and miss shop. Some days are great and my nails look awesome, then other days my nails are so uneven, misshaped & my cuticles are torn up. This last visit I broke my nail so I went to them to fix 1 nail. She was so preoccupied she kept leaving to go outside then come back and leave again. She kept looking outside while she did my nail. Then she shaped it....I have coffin style on all my other nail and after she shaped it it was leaning so far to the right it looked like my finger was deformed so I told her about it and reluctantly she fixed it. She over fixed it to the point where it looks like half Stiletto half almond shape while all my other nails are coffin. So now I have to go somewhere else to fix the mistake. Disappointed. This was maybe my third time at this nail salon. And it will be my last. I walked in and immediately got to get my pedicure. Awesome, right? Wrong. Despite the fact that there were not many customers, the young lady was really rushing to get my toes done. In fact, I think she missed a couple steps. It was hardly relaxing. And I know that it is difficult to communicate with employees at such salons, at times. However, this young lady could not understand me and just rushed me right along. At one point, I actually told her to slow down and she just smiled. Obviously- she didn't know what I was saying. Then - on to the manicure - another rush job. Still not many customers. She jabbed my cuticle and it bled. She apologized. What do you do when you can't even complain to the staff because of a language barrier? Frustration was all I felt. 60.00 for a quick mani/pedi. Been there twice, and both times horrible service. The first time I went to get a pedicure and full set. I like to relax during my pedicure and not really engage in conversations, but the guy who was doing my nails I guess wanted to talk and asked me why I was so quiet. I told him I was just relaxing. He did a poor job on my pedicure, the polish started peeling off the next day. Then there was another story with my full set, I usually like my white tip a bit lower than normal cause it last longer and I like the look. Wow, what a disappointment. $25 for a gel "manicure" which included filing my nails and polish. No pushing back cuticles, no soaking, no massage, nothing. Just file and polish. As we all know it is "first come first serve" well I was the first one in the shop this past Saturday and was seated to be served. There was a woman that came in the shop well after me and she was given the royal treatment. Her nails were done while I was left sitting for an hour. I'm done with Golden Nails, I was shocked at the service I was given since I am such a long standing customer. First off, I don't mind paying $70.00 for a $70.00 service. That is not what I found at Golden Nails all because I was too lazy to go elsewhere on Saturday. I will give them that they are open on Sunday, but they could find something else to do. My pedi and mani were rushed, I couldn't even relax. While clipping my toenails, the tech kept placing it on top of my foot to show me what she was clipping. I don't care to see it that is why I came to you. Not the best job. I have real finger nails. There was way too much filing which made my nails brittle. I broke one the same day. My brows were messed up, so I have to draw them on until they grow back. I was super hesitant to go to this place because of the reviews that I read, but stopped in about 2 PM on a Saturday after an errand to Michael's. Got a "Spa Pedicure" for $25 after about a 10 minute wait. Good service...tablets in nice warm water...massage chair...removed my old polish, trimmed nails, attention to cuticles, pumice stone, lotion massage on legs and feet -- all without asking. Clear coat, 2 coats of polish and then another clear coat -- also without asking. People were nice. I'd go back. read more
