Be prepared for a long wait! I went to this salon for the first time a few weeks ago for a pedicure without polish. They have plenty of chairs, but not many employees. The pedicure was not very good. I asked the woman to cut down my nails as short as possible. When I returned home that evening, I cut them down myself because they were still too long. They use disposable nail filers and foot scrubbers, which are great. You definitely know that the tools are new. They open the bag in front of you. read more

I went and got my nails here since I am moving to the area I wanted to find a good nail salon. They're close so I decided to check them out. Horrible. I got gel polish on my acrylic nails. Not even a week, the gel polish started chipping off, and so has my acrylic. I had to take off the rest of the polish since it looked bad chipping off. I'm rating 4 stars because the FIRST time I came here I would have given the place zero stars if I could because the manicurist was terrible...I got an acrylic fill in and gel polish. She rushed, cut me multiple times with the tools..etc. Let's just say I went to TJ maxx next door after this manicure and on my walk there I noticed 3 of my nails totally crooked- went back for her to fix. Then I shopped at TJ maxx and literally after leaving the store all my nails had "dents" in them, as if it was regular polish that wasn't dry (although it was gel!!) anyway, I was SO disappointed!!! BUT- I decided to give them a second try and thank goodness I did because I had a different manicurist, and she was amazing!! She really took pride in what she was doing, was careful and thorough and did an excellent job. I'm going to ask for her every time. I can't even believe what a world of difference it was. So- moral of the story, this place gets 4 stars due to inconsistency because you just don't know who you're gonna get! read more

Used to love them but they have forgotten customer service and the services are horrible. The owner told me when my nails were messed up by a guy with short spike hair with yellow highlights; he agreed that the next service would be free. I went back several weeks later after my nails grew out from where he hooked the sides of them...filing. I had my nails trim down and the owner female did my nails. I stated when I went in that my nail service would be free and she charged me. Her husband came out they talk and they said no. I paid for my services and I will never go back ridiculously unprofessional and greedy. The entire energy of the place has gone from incredible and not giving a dang. read more

I'll start by saying that the salon is beautiful, it's always clean/sterile, and the service is okay. However, my most recent experience was horrible. I went and had my nails done on a Thurs evening; I only get SNS over my natural nails. TK didn't do them (unfortunately, bc he always does a great job). The older Asian guy that gazes over his glasses frequently ended up doing them; I'm unsure if he was in training, but the work was that of a novice and with me guiding him he did an okay job. By Saturday, I had cracks throughout each of my nails. I was outta town by then so I returned Tuesday and explained this to them. The host/cashier says, "oh, that has been happening a lot and Idk what causes that." They sit me down to have the sns soaked off. The slim Asian lady looks closely at my nails and says, "he may have put the powder on too thin; who did them?" I told her the guy who did them. She pretty much said we'll fix them and left me under the impression that I didn't have to pay, bc it was "their bad." Apparently, if the same person fixes your nails for their own mistake there's no charge; however, she deliberately sent a new person to do my nails so that I WOULD have to pay. I only found this out after the new person spoke with me at the register. That's foul business! I do believe in paying people for their work, but after giving it some thought I just felt like they got over on me. I ended up disputing the charge. NO, I WOULDN'T RECOMMEND THEM AT ALL. For a basic manicure and pedicure I was charged $63.00. Upon arrival, the male nail tech sitting at the front door was very nice and quick to ask how can I help you? He sent me to a chair for my pedicure. The nail tech ran the warm water in the pedicure bowl and stuck my feet in. I asked about nail polish and the nail tech came back with all these key rings filled with so many options. I picked out my color and asked if it was a gel polish, she stated I could get it without being gel. She picked one foot out the water and poured lotion all over my leg and sat there for 20 minutes rubbing my leg and talking to a co worker about her plans when she got off work. She proceeded to do the other foot/leg for another 10 minutes. Then she removed my feet from the water and went and got a nice hot towel and placed over my legs. After that she started to polish my toenails and I asked her about clipping and get the hang nails but she said the basic does not include the extras. After the pedicure she sent me to a another table for my manicure, she picked up my hands and cleaned under one or two nails and told me to go wash my hands with soap and water. Upon my return she started to polish my nails, I asked her what about soaking my hands, trimming my nails or clipping my cuticles and the nail tech informed me that is not included in a basic manicure. So a basic pedicure is soaking your feet in warm water, applying lotion and polish.The basic manicure is just polishing your fingernails, No clipping, cuticles trimming or even lotion. The nail tech then informs me I owe $63.00 and I said the pricing sheet states $40.00 and she tells me that is if I bring my own polish. By Perfect Nails supplying the polish it is $20.00 additional and then I asked her about the three dollars and she tells me that is for the drink. What drink I didn't get a drink and she says it is an add on whether you get it or not. On top of all that it is the worse polishing on toenails and fingernails I have ever seen. See pictures attached. The toenail was smeared and she just painted over it. The fingernail polish is so globbed on that it started peeling three hours after I left. The nail polish started coming off the next day. It is hard to see in the pictures but the polish is also all over my cuticles.Maybe if she of spent more time on my nails instead of complaining she only makes 47% of all of the money she brings in she would have done a better job. Also, all the techs were walking around with filthy yellow jackets on and a couple of them smelled really bad. The floor was covered with nails and cuticle clippings. read more

Today my husband and I were pleasantly surprised, after many attempts at other salons in the area, we tried perfect nails and we are so happy we did! The salon is beautiful, I got to drink wine, the service was great, everyone was friendly and professional, the work was beautiful! Very clean, everything in new packaging, no language barriers, lots of products to choose from, my husband got to kick back and watch the big screen while getting his feet done! I wouldn't even give them a single star if I didn't have to. Go to Walmart buy some nail polish and let a three year old paint your nails before you come and waste a single penny here. Absolutely pathetic customer service. I had my nails done here and within two days the color faded and turned a very ugly yellow. I called and asked if someone could fix them because I live an hour away. I was told yes. I proceeded to drive there and when I arrived I was told I would have to wait an hour or more, they didn't have that many people at all in place. The receptionist was very rude and had a smirky attitude. I then just asked if I could get it taken off and it took forever just to do that. Don't waste your time or money by coming here. I used to go to this place for a monthly pedicure and the occasional manicure. The owner, TK, is very nice. He does some of the best pink and whites around. But I'm going to be brutally honest: this place is dirty and unprofessional. Everything is covered in dust. The nail techs never clean up their stations. Lamps, bottles, seats, floors, everything is covered in a film of acrylic nail dust. I also wish they had a dress code for their employees. I have seen way too many of their employees in leggings (almost all of them don't need to be wearing leggings). One large woman who works there also wears very revealing tops and her breasts are always spilling out over her tank top when she does pedicures. One woman (who I believe is married to the owner) is a nail tech, but she does all the waxing. I'm not sure if she is a licensed esthetician, but in South Carolina, nail techs are not allowed to perform waxings. So I caution anyone who comes to Perfect Nails for a waxing: make sure the person performing the services is a Licensed Esthetician and NOT just a Nail Tech. With all that being said, I don't believe the staff is paid well (maybe $9/an hour) and I know the tips can't be great, given the usual Sumter clientele. They are nice, but unmotivated and unprofessional with regards to the cleanliness of the salon and the dress code of most of the women. read more

This is where my lady friend goes. She says the service is cool, but there can be some crazy lady on lady drama there sometimes. Stay away on Fridays when the hostile ladies of Sumter are getting ready for a night out on the town. They will mean mug the crap out of you if you cruise in there with an appointment. Horrible,Horrible , HORRIBLE!! The nail tech stayed on her phone the entire time. Cut my cuticles in multiple places. I kept saying please make them more rounded. They are square blocks and have way too much filler . Filler all around my fingers and under the nails. And I was in the chair for almost 2 hours!! $55 dollars later I would be willing to pay another hundred for someone to remove this crap and do over. Came for a pedicure and a nail set for the first time...left out paying $118 For both because I opted for the sns nails...pedicure was great becuses the nail tech digging into my nail beds with her ungloved hands to fix nail polish mistakes...gross! Also, the advertisement is a lie for the new nail kit for each customer...not true. Also, Mr. Jon did my sns set. The entire experience seemed rushed. He did not touch my cuticles...did not clean or buff around my nail before beginning. And there was no separate container for the sns powder...everyone who gets that color 32 will use the same container...mind you there is no prior sanitation...gross! He was not attentive during the set and I prompted with multiple questions urging him to be more thorough. Nails are u even and rough to the touch...gritty even...i don't like it at all and feel played...this must be why I avoid nail salons in the first place. Let me start with the pedicure. Not only does it suck but I have cuts all over my feet. YES CUTS from the girl who did my nails. Her nails were too long and she wasn't gentle. I have polish on my skin around my nails which could be because I got the color black but my 13 yr old brother could do better. The manicure was horrible. I also have cuts on my fingers from her stabbing me and cutting me with the clippers and the clippers to cut my cuticles. Speaking of cuticles, I thought they cut them going sideways because she cut mine while having the clippers pointing at my cuticles and now I have skin hanging from my cuticles. Left after being ignored for 45 minutes while 3 parties with no appointments were seated within 5 minutes of arriving. I was FOLLOWED INTO THE PARKING LOT AND YELLED AT FOR BEING RUDE by the child who apparently runs the front desk who had not even acknowledged my presence in the time I was sitting 4 feet from her. She explained to me that "pedicures get seated first here because not everyone can do full sets." Well, 1) that makes no sense. I was getting a simple manicure, and if someone can't do that, then they probably shouldn't be doing pedicures either. 2) Even if it were true, it wouldn't make anything better. People doing nails are required to be licensed, and they have to know how to put polish on finger nails in order to get a license. 3) It isn't true. The policy is quite obviously meant to make sure that if someone leaves because they aren't getting service, it's the people spending slightly less money. Well, congratulations, that's what happened, and I won't be returning. read more

When I 've come to get my nails done I'm always told there is a 15 minute wait, that actually turns into 45 minutes.... this is normal. Today was a new experience, I wanted to have Kim do my nails and TK said that there is someone in front of me, it will be 45 minutes, no problem. This place sucks, they are rude, dirty, and don't care about you. My friend's mother almost got her leg amputated bc of these people and MANY have received staph infections from here. If you really care about what reviews say then trust me, this is the worst nail salon in the world. I made a Yelp account just to warn others about this place. I made an appointment for 8 of us the day before my wedding back in October. All but two of us had a bad experience. It seems that the only people there who are friendly and good with nails are the Asian ladies. Here are my gripes: they barely touch you when they give you a massage during a pedicure, and the person who did my French tips for my manicure was horrible. She kept spilling acetone on my nails, so there were spots that had no polish, and the lines were not right on the tips. I didn't have time to get them fixed, so my nails looked horrible on my wedding day. They were also extremely rude. Since I booked an appointment for so many people, I received a gift certificate for $25 to come back, though I would never have come back were it not for that. So, earlier this month, I took a friend to go get pedicures. I got an Asian lady this time who did a pretty good job, though my feet kept touching her hair which was kind of gross. My friend did not have a good experience. The worker kept checking her phone, ANSWERING HER PHONE and used only one hand to massage her, and seemed to make every effort possible to show she hated her job. It was awful. I will never return to this place. They have good prices, but the service and quality is horrendous. read more
