As a self proclaimed nail shop fanatic, it's no surprise that I stumbled into Golden Nails. I am horrible at doing my own nails, and I can't ever clip my toes without doing it unevenly or too far down. A MESS. I don't have a nail shop that I go to regularly anymore ever since my old shop fired my girl; I really don't trust anyone enough yet! I came to Golden Nails with a friend, who is a regular.
Today, the shop wasn't crowded at all, so I was seated for my pedicure right away. There is a large selection of polish so feel free to take your time in that department! The massage chair was amazing and very clean. Immediately, someone asked me if I wanted a coke or a water. This same person noticed that I could have been sitting in a much more comfortable position and readjusted my seat! I'm so glad he did! How lucky am I that this SAME GUY gave me my pedicure? He's amazing. He gave me a great massage! Sometimes the massages are a little underwhelming, but that's to be expected of a regular-degular nail shop. This place puts that expectation to rest! He was able to fix the toenail that I screwed up when trying to clip them myself (see above) with ease!
The only reason this place doesn't get five stars is because it's not the most peaceful nail shop experience. I love kids, but there were two playing around even though there was a big sign exclaiming that kids had to be serviced in order to be inside the establishment. It was clear that the kids had some relation with the owner, so it's obvious why the rule was bent. I thought they were really cute, and the little boy was having a blast dancing & playing with a stuffed animal, so it was a pretty darling experience. The kids didn't bother me at all, but If you're someone who likes to doze off during a pedicure you might want to look elsewhere. I throughly enjoyed my time! My nails look great, and my feet feel like silk. Golden Nails has earned themselves a new regular! read more
