This business gets five stars and it was such a pleasure having Moon do my pedicure and Lisa do my nails all at the same time. I felt like I was a queen. The prices are extremely reasonable well worth a trip and you don't have to wait that often. I think they have 20 booze to do pedicures and manicures together and then manicures individually. My neighbor recommended it to me and now I'm recommending it to everybody else. read more

The place was very dirty and polishes looked old. During the manicure portion, my skin was cut and concerning as the place was not clean. There are many nail salons to chose from in the city. I'd consider another Due to cleanliness alone. It is inexpensive and I can say this is a great example of "you get what you pay for.". read more

The service here depends on who does your nails. The staff is always so friendly but the quality is not consistent. Sometimes they're great and sometimes I leave very disappointed. My last manicure was uneven, the gel was bumpy, the shape was half square half round, glue was left under my nails, and cuticles were still hanging. I went for the price but will likely go somewhere else next time. read more

DO NOT GO HERE unless you want your nails to be completely destroyed. I went in because of the good price and its proximity to Tulane campus, and my nails will never be the same. I take great care of my nails, they were extremely healthy and strong. My nail tech(Tracy) brought a bowl of pure acetone and made me soak my nails for twenty five minutes nonstop. Every time I removed my hands because my nails were BURNING and bending in ways they shouldn't, she shoved my hands back in. I've had this set of Gel for less than two weeks and my nails are breaking left right and center. They also told my roommate that they didn't offer tips but then did it on a client next to her. Close this place down, NOW. read more

We went here on New Year's Eve in 2023. Let me just rave a little. We got a hot stone massage, leg and foot exfoliation, and regular polish for $34. This is an excellent price. The massage chair was spectacular and we felt great after!!! This is great for hardworking medical professionals who "people" all day and want to get a pedi without having to socialize. The workers were happily talking among themselves while working. It was refreshing to see them having a good time at work, and not have to worry about much interaction. 10/10 recommend. read more

My nails start to fall off the next day and I went back it my nails were bleeding so bad and swollen and they gave me a infection because the nail buffer had some type of substance to were I got a infection and they had to rip my nail off and I had to start my nail growth all over again. Speak up! Don't let anyone intimidate you when you're spending your money. Horrible service at the magazine location. It was a problem when I mention that my nails doesn't look neat for a French manicure because it was sloppy. I won't ever come again. If I could give no stars I would. DO NOT GO AND IF YOU CANT HELP IT DONT GET TRACY. Her ass can't see. The white isn't blended, the tips aren't all close to even or the same ‍. She did my nails twice and it still looked horrible. Been going here for almost two years, and somehow every time I go, it gets worse. All of my dip nails fall off sooner than two weeks, they're always lumpy, and all crooked. Even when I went for a gel pedicure last week, it looks HORRIBLE. It's a paint job I could have done myself, and not been out $38. This place is OK. I came here due to reviews from recommendation from a Facebook group. I am new to New Orleans, and have been to a lot of nail salons throughout the years. I got a simple manicure and pedicure. Everything was just OK, in my opinion. I had one lady doing my toes and another lady doing my nails. The lady doing my toes was on the phone most of the time she was doing my toes. The lady doing my nails turned off my massage chair while doing my cuticles, which I understand it's difficult when a client is moving around, HOWEVER, why do my nails on the massage chair then if I am not allowed to use it? I picked 3 different regular colors. I asked if they have any samples/ swatch of the colors, they said no. Which is FINE. But, I also asked if I could swatch it on my nails quickly so I can pick which shade I like best, they also said NO. I've never been to a nail salon that doesn't allow me to swatch the different colors, so that's weird. Lastly, when they were done, they didn't say a thing, just gave me a receipt and walked away. Didn't fan my nails to make sure they're dry, didn't ask if everything was fine, and didn't check on me at all. The quality of the polish is OK, nothing that I couldn't do myself, the only "Good" thing they did was probably the cleaning portion of the mani and pedi. If you like being 'held hostage' in a pedicure chair for 30 minutes+ and waste an afternoon, then Cindy's is your place. We stopped coming here for this exact reason but my daughter wanted artwork. I don't think anyone has the time for this nonsense. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. Oh, the amount of shame this afternoon is soul crushing. read more

I really appreciate how consistent the service and quality at Cindy's has been over the last year. This second location was definitely needed as their original Carrollton Street location is always full, and I never feel like I get the best service. On the other hand, the Magazine Street location is always empty with technicians waiting to serve you. I've only had pedicures here, and I've never been disappointed. I don't go to a particular tech because everyone is stellar. Both locations offer a frequent customer card, so after ten $10 or more services you receive $10 off your eleventh service. The pedicure chairs provide great massages and their nail polish collection is unmatched! The location is handicapped accessible with an automated lift to assist those in a wheelchair. read more

This is not the place for nails. I left with my nail polished bubbled up because she was rushing so she didn't leave my nails under the light long enough. It's shameful to be okay with sloppy work, and all I got was something basic. Shouldn't look that bad for something so simple. The person who did my toes was great. Lisa did my nails. read more

This place is a dump! There are never enough technicians and the manager would rather watch his Vietnamese fishing videos than make sure customers are taken care of. There comes a time when walkins need to be told sorry we can't help you. Instead you end up sitting with your feet in water for an hour waiting for someone to get to you. The original Cindy salon is so much better. read more

This is definitely my new go-to nail spot! I've gotten my nails done twice here now, and the service and quality of my gel manicure was great both times. The service is always quick and the staff is always friendly. In addition, the polish on my nails is flawless and lasts much longer than the nail salon I used to go to! They also have a wide range of colors to choose from. I'm looking forward to my next manicure here! P.S. Make sure you bring cash, because they do prefer customers to pay and tip in cash, especially after Hurricane Ida. read more

Atmosphere, aesthetic, color options all are a 5! The place is stunning, as soon as you walk in it's super bright with a huge chandelier and are immediately greeted! You look to your left and the color options seem endless, more than anywhere else I've been! Pedicure was a 2! The massage was great, but the color didn't last. My toes were chipping a couple days later and we all know toe nail polish can last weeks so this was a little disappointing! Will stick with my normal salon in the future due to this! read more

In pre-COVID times, I traveled around the country frequently, and thus, had opportunities to visit a ton of nail salons along the way. This is, by far, the cleanest, friendliest, and most professional salon I've experienced. Before and during COVID, workstations are frequently sanitized and everything is wiped clean throughout your visit (e.g., they don't throw your nail trimmings on the ground like some dirtier salons do). They also offer beverages and a stamp card that rewards you with $10 after 10 visits (which is a nice bonus if you get your nails done on a regular basis). read more

Cindy's is good. This location (Magazine) in particular- the original S. Carrollton spot is closer to the universities and can be more overrun, but there's always a seat at the Magazine location, although it has gotten busier. It's always very clean. The prices are reasonable and on par with other basic nail salons in the area. Definitely splurge and get the deluxe pedicure- it's not much more $ than the basic, but has the bells & whistles that make it worth it- hot stones, scrubs, etc. I don't think they do any nail designs, but I've never asked. You can get a complimentary cup of white wine, red wine, or soda with your service. read more

Do not visit this location. There are some fantastic technicians (Julia and Laura) but overall this place is a waste of money. If you go anytime except right when they open, you will wait 45 minutes to an hour before they start. So you have to make an appointment? Wrong. You can call to make one and they'll accept it but won't start working on you until 30 minutes after your scheduled time. The owner (or manager I am not sure) is always rude. He is at the front and will shuffle you in. If you have the common sense to ask how long, he says "20 minutes" no matter what. If you have 3 hours to waste on a manicure and pedicure, then this is the place for you. read more

I decided to go back to Cindy's because I love that they always do a great job! Cindy, the owner, is such a gem! She was so accommodating after I didn't have the best experience the last time. However, there is no way you can beat these prices and quality in town. I've tried a few different places but no where compares. I usually go here for a gel mani and a pedi and they always do a great job. I can get in and out in a decent amount of time as well. I am not a happy camper. I have been with them for years and the service has been steadily declining. I told the girl she cut me and she did nothing and told me not to put pressure. I got home now the entire ridge of my nail is bloody and burning. My cutticles are also horrid. read more

I would recommend this place for a quick pedi but I've been to many different nail salons for dip manis and their method here is not right. She used a clear polish and dipped it in the powder and the gel lamp they use at the end of a dip mani actually changes the color of the powder. They rush a manicure that this is now the second time getting a dip mani where they made me bleed. I'll go here for a pedi but stay away for a mani. read more

They are not. It got so bad that I took my question to Reddit, which is how I ended up booking at this place, which sadly was no different. When I sat down (twenty minutes late) I was informed by the nail tech that she does Russian manicures, but doesn't cut with a scissor. Immediate red flag but I had already paid in full and needed the disaster set I walked in with removed. This person then proceeded to not follow any of the steps of a Russian manicure. No orangewood stick. No flame bit to lift the dead skin. A jagged cut around the cuticle with oil added to hide it. Abrasions where my live skin was filed with the ball bit. I was then informed that I would need to pay an additional $60 for the hard gel application. To be fair, it was applied nicely and the shaping was great. It just wasn't a Russian manicure. If it had been billed as a hard gel manicure and left at that it would have been fine. The gaslighting at the end - I was told I should book hard gel fills moving forward because I don't "need" a Russian manicure - was the icing atop a very shitty cake. If you don't know what you're looking for, this is the place for you. The vibe and aesthetic of the salon is nice. If you're looking for an actual Russian manicure, keep looking.

Honestly, if she spent more time on the massage part then it would've been more worth it, but she hardly spent even 5 minutes on the massage. It's truthfully just a very awkward and unnecessary amount of time to have wet hair. Not to mention the blow dry at the end was absolutely horrible. If a blow dry is part of the experience then at least one person should be trained how to properly blow dry hair. I was expecting to have an absolutely mind blowing experience but i genuinely was just waiting for it to be over at some point. Honestly would not recommend at all.
