I walked in and told them I was looking for a long term relationship with the business and to please give me some one that excelled. I got Ann and in extremely satisfied. The pedicure was wonderful and as for my Dip mani which I have been getting for longer than 8 years she knew exactly what to do. Did not hesitate with the dremmel;, my nails are not thick and her technique was very good. I'll know for sure in 3 weeks, if the quality of the work, in terms of my nails not braking, excels. They do not care about the integrity of your natural nail. Do not come here unless all you care about are nail extensions and your natural nails being filled down to brittleness. I came in to get a basic gel manicure and was told to sit down, as soon as I sat down I was told to move to another chair because it was someone else's turn. Fine, whatever. The woman who sat in front of me just immediately started trying to put tips on my nails without even asking what I wanted to do. I showed her a picture asking if they could do a pink cat eye like the photo, on my natural nails and she said yes and asked if I wanted acrylic. When I told her again it was my natural nails, which I work hard to have a certain length, she started filling them down with about a 120 grit nail file meant for acrylic nails. Completely ruined my free edge of my nails which were past my fingertips and now look like some chicken or cat pointed nail. I get that the photo I showed her probably confused her but I simply just asked if the could do pink cat eye, I said nothing about the almond shaped nails in the picture. Because even if I wanted that shape, it wasn't even anything like the picture! I was so appalled at how they turned out I just got up and left. Didn't let her touch my left hand or try to finish my service and get a pedicure also. I will not be back ever. read more

I made an appointment for 615 so I wouldn't miss my nephew's birthday party. Also, unfortunately, I did not make it to my nephew's birthday party. it was his last birthday party of his life. Came in early and they took me before the shop opened. Niiiice surprise! They started with my pedicure and they did a great job. The issue that I had here was with the color of my nails. I asked for a peach color and received an orange. Now orange is my favorite color, so I'm going to rock it, but when I went back in to ask the tech about the color difference she told me that the color appeared lighter bc on the model it was acrylic. I was like "um, ok?" I responded this way bc when you walk in they ask what you want on your nails and I requested sns, not acrylics. As a nail technician she should have been able to inform me of the color shade difference BEFORE we were finish with the set. (with sns nails set, the color doesnt really show up until the LAST STEP,as it is powder, and the top coat brings out the color) Overall, they'll do. DONT COME HERE!! I've been to this place twice and the first time I happened to be one of the last people in the salon, and she rushed on my nails. They weren't the same. My pinky nail was just a glob mess of what was supposed to be a design. A few nails were lopsided. I paid 100$ +tip because I was scared. The second time I came I got a different lady and I asked her for almond shaped nails. I told her the length that I wanted and she cut them into a triangle shape and took half the length off. I said something about it because some of them were different lengths and i didn't like it. She said she had to shape it but she rushed and made a bad mistake and if I didn't say anything, they would've been short stubby stilettos. She soaked them off for a long time and went to the back. When she came back and started on my nails again, she asked me first about the length and then sarcastically said "ask your mom". and LAUGHED!! My nails are thin and one split underneath. Everytime i touch anything with my fingers it hurts because of how thin and fragile my nail bed is. When I tell you I just had the most sorriest pedicure I'd ever had believe me. Not relaxing which is what I was looking forward to at all.Not only was she very unfriendly but rude. I have never posted a review before but felt I needed to say something. I got a pedicure and my eyebrows waxed and both services felt very rushed especially my eyebrows. She didn't pluck or trim my hairs and missed several obvious hairs. She held up the mirror for a quick second and didn't let me hold it so I couldn't see it and have her fix it. I went to Golden nail bar to get my nails done and get an eyebrow wax. I asked her to just clean up my eye brows and keep the shape as well as thickness. When I got to see my eyebrow, I saw a whole big chunk was taken off from the front on my left eyebrow, but right in the picture added and they were thinner then I wanted. It looks terrible and I am so upset. Sadly I do not remember the name of the woman that did this, but she did not listen to anything I had said. I was so upset that I didn't even get my nails done. There is nothing I can do to fix it. I will not return ever again even to get my nails done. Also, I would not recommend this place to anyone. If I could give this place ZERO stars I would. No one ever should experience this. It ruins someone's face and these days the eyes and eyebrows are people's first impression of you. So, ruining that is terrible. My recommendation: Be prepared to wait during the busy weekends. My "appointment" made the previous day didn't do anything and for me frustrated me. There was no sign in list as the sign in machine was not working! I visited this place several times when it first opened and it was great. After covid it went down hill. I went in for a pedicure and the lady doing my nails was making fun of my tattoo on my foot... I knew this because she kept pointing at it. I asked her what and she just shook her head. A couple months went by and I thought I would try it again. Second chance. I got the same lady again. When she was doing my toes this time she was a little aggressive and I flinched. Because I did that she proceeded to wipe my toe lint on my foot instead of the towel that was under my feet. I have had a couple good experiences here with good techs, but on the whole it's not a great place - still looking for a consistently good and professional place in town. I have gone in and been unacknowledged for 20 minutes, so I just left. The lady on the left when you go in also has not done a good job for me, so I would not recommend having her as your tech. She is not very nice about trying to accommodate a request (e.g. I'd like them rounded). My pedi is so fresh the paint is still drying as I type this. I was just so disappointed I couldn't wait to share my experience. I have been a customer pretty much since they opened their doors. I brought my friends with me and helped grow their client base because they normally do a good job. They are a little more expensive than the local competitors but I liked the atmosphere and selection of products so I was okay with that. Today I got the most expensive pedicure they have at $65 and it is supposed to come with extra massage time per their menu. The lady sitting next to me started hers at the same time and she opted for the cheapest one. My pedi was over and done before she was even halfway through her massage. The lady spent 30 minutes total on my feet. Most shops average that for the cheapest pedicure. Why did I pay $30 more than the lady next to me and receive worse service I don't know? BTW the extra stones are just tiny ones they place between your toes so skip it. To top it off she was incredibly rude. As she was removing the dirt around my toe she wiped it on the top of my foot! There is a towel under my feet for that purpose. And then she was commenting on how dirty they were. Sorry but I do construction and gardening so my toes get dirt in them sometimes. I'm not some retiree or housewife, these feet work. I was planning to get the most expensive manicure and SNS nails with extension, another $100 worth of services, but her rudeness and rushing of my services caused me to just pay for my pedicure and walk out never to return. After I visited several inexpensive nail places in High Point and Greensboro when we relocated to the area in 2015, this place is my go-to favorite for low-cost services. They do the basics well. There can be a wait - a sign of their popularity. On weekends the line can be out the door for first-come first-served folks. Be prepared to spend 2-3 hours at those times, like if you're getting a mani-pedi. Trying to make an appointment same day or the day before is probably not going to get you around it. I have my favorite technicians, but I don't even request anyone in particular now - they are all fine. If you think something isn't right with your nails, they will fix it if you say something, no problem. I usually get an SNS manicure every 2-3 weeks, and a pedicure every couple months. I've also had eyebrow touch-ups, upper lip waxing, and even a half leg wax once - no frills but no major issues. Of course if you go to a waxing or threading salon and pay a lot more, you'll get the high-end experience and finishes. All in all, glad to have them nearby, as the only other budget-friendly place like this that I would go to is over in Greensboro. read more

If I could give this place negative stars, I would. I can't speak for the rest of the nail techs here but I had the absolute worst experience with Angel. I called in advance and asked how much a fill was and they said $20. When I got there I told them I didn't want gel just regular polish. She told me she'd have to charge me an extra $5 to file off the gel I already had. That's ridiculous because they have to file acrylic nails no matter what when you get a fill. She told me she wouldn't charge me if I just paid $10 to get gel. She totally upsold me! When she put the acrylic on, I asked if she could file them down a little to make them straight on the top since my nails had grown out. She told me that she would have to charge me an extra $3!!! Just to make them straight! I told her I wasn't paying her to do that. Having straight nails should just be automatic. She didn't charge me but after I said that, she forcibly took my hand and was SQUEEZING my fingers on purpose. I literally had to yank my fingers away from her hold. I was seriously worried that she would cut me with the nail drill on purpose! I also asked if I could have a basic color and a clear glitter on top. She told me she would have to charge me an extra $5!! When my nails were done, she told me that whoever did my nails before did a horrible job! My past nails with my other nail tech had lasted 4 weeks! I just thought that she was so rude for saying that. I could tell she was trying to take a dig at me. My nails were originally supposed to be $20 but ended up being $43 for a fill. My friend has a positive experience with another nail tech but DO NOT GET YOUR NAILS DONE BY ANGEL.
