tara's artistry

beautiful store! went before the nyc marathon and tye was so great helping me pick out a pair to do an artist collab with. tara was my artist and lets say, she's one of the best. i love my shoes so much. highly recommend while in soho.

The shoe is separating after 2days!!!!!

Bought a pair of custom shoes, $800, and within 2 days the sides were separating from the shoe. Very disappointing!!

Golden Goose Company... WTF Shoe soles (we own 4 pair) are DESTROYED like fallen off. Took them to a shoe repair the man said GG makes the shoes out of cardboard. Then I looked and felt my sole- yep cardboard is right. Are you kidding me $400 for cardboard????? No wonder they're crap. Broome Store... They don't have a ton of selections- I was disappointed and ended up settling with a pair I wasn't that excited about. The employees were really nice and brought out styles in my size that weren't on the shelves. I did get the feeling that they may have been not completely 100% about what was left in my size. She had to go look what was left sort of thing... I dunno it felt like she was picking shoes for me. Why couldn't those leftovers been displayed I thought, even if there was only one size left. The issue is these shoes are popular and yes they go with everything- but don't be an idiot like me and invest in these shoes. I feel like a fool- guess it's what I get for trying to be in the cool club.

My favorite shoes. Have several pairs, but the ones I was able to customize in SoHo are by far my favorite. Service is great as well.

Had a great experience dropping off a pair of shoes to get the sole fixed and bought a new pair, great service.

Such interesting pieces can be found as an origami-structured suits or basic knitwear with unexpected details. Lingo has pieces that allow anyone to show a little personality edge without standing too far out in the crowd. With brands such as Prairie Underground (great organic sweat shirts), Butter dresses, Nature vs. Nurture, Kelly Lane, and Filly, you are sure to find something quirky and unique. The owner Shin Yee Man knows how to choose clothes that are accessible enough for everyone, but have a one-of-a-kind, handmade quality that makes them more personal. A favorite is Cinderloop's grey draped tunic with uncommon red string that tucks and pulls to create a unique shape ($148). Most dresses range from $100-$180 and tops from $30-$100. Some collections are by local designers and organic and handmade pieces can easily be found. The accessories are just as unique as the clothes, with purses, belts, hats, wallets, clutches, earrings, rings, bracelets, and necklaces found throughout the store. Eccentric bright jewelry are made of beads, feathers, string, precious stones, and silver and range from $20-$150, with the most unique rings made from Horn and Seed Pod for $20-$90. The one-of-a-kind custom leather belts have intricate buckles and are worn in beautifully ($100-$150). Featured Boutique July 2009 - The Boutique of the Week

I have been a fan of Cloak and Dagger since my days of working at Metrotech in downtown Brooklyn…read more Last weekend I was making my way down to the museum when I noticed their east village location. Wow!! Talk about gorgeous! I wanted every Zooey Deschanel Peter Pan collared dress and leather booties in the shop. This season was almost Wes Anderson movie lay out. There was little circular green suitcases, patterned shirts, colored slacks and fun printed little scarves for purse flare. I also loved the way the styled the model in a feminine slightly rocker look. The real drool-worthy item in my opinion is the Opening Ceremony purse with a small metal hand closure! Stunning! And with a pair of Andy Warhol's Factory silver shoes styled underneath the purse! Fabulous! The clerk showed me the wallet and it had a black hand with red nail polish closure and the coin purse inside even had a little hand as an opener. This is also a great place to find cards for many occasions! Thank you's and birthday cards are the popular ones. And adorable and soaps for when you have out of town guest! My favorite has to be the double printed pineapple wall paper! It made me happy and I wanted all for myself. I will be making more visits to this little shop and my wardrobe will thank me and my wallet will hate me. We can't all be happy. Sorry wallet!

Really beautiful pieces but it's super pricey. Not a lot of options but definitely well curatedread more
