When my Mom's illnesses began to cause her a great deal of pain and discomfort, my brave Mom wanted to look into legal options of taking control of her 'end-of-life'. Her current hospice was not able to assist with her request. The national organization Compassion & Choices referred us to Mid Valley Hospice. Mid Valley arranged to meet my Mom immediately. Within 3 days she began the 15 day process that would grant her the peace that she wanted. From start to finish our relationship with Mid Valley Hospice was professional and responsive. Each time I called the office, the team members I spoke to were all aware of my Mom's case and worked together to meet her needs. She loved everyone who came to the house from the woman who gave her showers to the nurse checking vitals and meds. She especially appreciated Dr. Nelson, and said he was so kind and gentle. My special favorites were the owner, Anna, lovely Chelsea and dear Francis. They were my long distance confidants who helped me manage my Moms care from my home 90 minutes away. I thank Mid Valley Hospice sincerely for all they have done for my family.

My grandmother was diagnosed with stage IV colon cancer and our family was faced with many difficult decisions. Thankfully, Mid Valley Hospice was there to help. After speaking with Ana, she immediately understood what we needed and did everything to made sure that my grandmother was comfortable and properly looked after as if it was her own family member. That's something that put the family at ease knowing she was in the hands of compassionate professionals who went above and beyond to make her last moments on Earth as comfortable as possible. I hope that no family has to go through this kind of loss, but with people like Anna and her team, it becomes a little more bearable. Thank you Mid Valley Hospice!

Vanessa who answered the phone answered all my questions and got back to me in a timely fashion. She didn't miss a thing and once we were signed up I felt great relief knowing I had this company on board to walk me through this process. I called on a Monday, the nurse Amanda came to assess mom that afternoon and we had approval for services within an hour. By the next morning all sorts of equipment was delivered; it was amazing how quickly they worked. The next day Juliet the RN came and checked out mom. Both nurses were so kind and gentle with my mom. Juliet went over the transitioning signs and other information that was very helpful to me in knowing what to expect. She spent a lot of time with me, I never felt rushed; Juliet's care was genuine. Communication was top notch; I received text notifications every time Juliet was going to come by. Both Juliet and Joyce the social worker arrived within minutes of my mom transitioning and it was so comforting to have them here. I had interviewed other hospice companies in the past and while the people I met with were nice, they felt a bit fake. I did not feel this way about Unique Hospice. Their attention and care is real and very respectful. I highly recommend Unique Hospice to walk through this difficult time with you. Thank you Vanessa for your excellent immediate communication and support with questions that I had. Thank you Joyce for your attention and compassion and for talking me through this grieving process. However , she was difficult to understand her due to her heavy accent. I asked her for the hospice packet and there was none. She did the best that she could but the language and cultural barriers were evident. Part of their advertised service includes a Bereavement counselor- none supplied . It also included a hospice chaplain that initially refused to come because it was Palm Sunday and offered to perform last rites over the phone- someone claiming to be a pastor or religious person ended up coming an hour later. With the current national focus on corrupt hospices, this agency should take care in the future to supply the services offered on their website- since we did not receive the hospice packet that are typically given to families prior to services being rendered.

Well, if you knew my dad, you would be smiling and very happy for him. Daddy is old school... you know the type, "what the hell are all these people doing here? I don't need no help. I'm just fine." "You all get the hell outta here!" Unfortunately, dad did need the help as he was no longer safe "taking care of himself" It was WWIII getting him to allow anyone from Roze Room of the Valley to get within 10 feet of him, until he met Carmen, our HHA. What an amazing human being. She was the Angel that could talk dad into most care that he needed when nobody else could. Her patience, laughter, ability to listen and hear what his needs and desires were was intrinsic, so natural. We can't begin to thank all the people from RR involved in Dad's care; from the Nurse Manager, the doctors, nurses, social workers, continuous care team, after-hours care team, the DME driver who provided Dad's equipment and educated him until he actually understood how to use something, the chaplain, secretaries dealing with numerous calls from me so professionally and patiently, and all the team that helped Dad's last days at home with us to be the best days they could possibly be given the situation. Speaking of situations, there were a few things I was not happy about, so I would call the manager and we would discuss and resolve these matters expeditiously. I learned very quickly, it takes a team effort to care for our dying loved ones...and our family became part of our hospice care team. Everyone knows that nobody is perfect, right? However, I can honestly say that Roze Room came pretty darn close. If you are looking for a Hospice Company to care for your loved one, my family and I highly recommend teaming up with Roze Room Hospice of the Valley.
