Avoid This place use to be very good and my go to but now it will be on my never to go list. My order a simple rib tip with pork fry rice and an egg roll. Called in my order for pick up. Lady was friendly. And order was ready fairly quickly. Paid with a card but they prefer cash. The rib tips were mostly inedible. They were so dry. Could not chew. Stuck in your teeth kinda meat. The fried rice while was not the normal round the way yellow rice but rather the brown one you get from other Asian spots, had a funny smell and taste. Only reason I have 1 star is because I couldn't give them less. read more

Golden Dragon - Pork fried rice - Chinese Near Me - Yonkers, New York

This is one of your typical quick Chinese food spots in Yonkers. If you want something cheap and quick this is a good spot to try. I was able to go to Uber Eats and order the Sesame Chicken and Chicken Lo Mein lunch specials. They came with an egg roll and pork fried rice. The food was decent. I did not necessarily enjoy the pork fried rice. There was double the amount of rice than chicken. They did not give us an option to change it to something else on the app. That would have been helpful. Food was okay but I might try somewhere else next time. read more

I've lived near Lake Ave my whole life and rarely visit this Chinese food spot. The food here is overpriced, and the last time I ordered from here (about three years ago), I found a hard, plastic, lug nut-like object in my fried rice. I only go as a last resort or when the family kitchen in the square is closed. Today, I decided to go because of the brewing storm--two days of snow from January 24 to January 25. Since I knew the grocery store would be crowded and backed up, I saw no point in going. -- THE SERVICE I called in my order at 7:20, planning to pick it up on my walk home-- I was walking my dog, tying him up, and then picking up my food. I arrived at the Golden Dragon at 7:42, expecting my order to be ready, but I was told they hadn't even started it. The woman at the counter watched me tie up my dog, then walk inside. When I told her, "I called in the order," she repeated my order exactly how I said it on the phone "chicken wings with French fries, BBQ only on the fries." I confirmed this, and she said, "$13.00," but the food wasn't ready yet. She began preparing it after I paid and didn't receive my food until 8:08-- 48 min after I called in my order. I waited outside with my dog as she finished. She didn't wave or ask her coworker to call me over or hand me the food. I cracked the door and asked, "Is that my food?" She confirmed, told me to get it, but I didn't want to bring my dog inside a food establishment. I requested they bring the food to me, which they did. The food still isn't great--I didn't find any lug nuts or hard objects this time, but the preparationwas quick and sloppy. They close the container incorrectly and wouldnt you guess it, the bbq sauce leaked into the bag and left little to no none the fries. The chicken was also not cooked evenly. Some parts where hotter and harder than the others. Not to mention the lack of communication, a rush to hang up on me and the lady worker holding an attitude the whole time I was at the spot. read more

This place was really good. It was clean, friendly service and food was well made. We would recommend.

I've been looking for a good tasting Mandarin style Chinese restaurant for a while as my local restaurant changed. For some reason Golden Dragon always seems to hit the spot, especially the fried rice. Check it out! Xie xie read more

Ordered several times from here because food was tasty and had no issues but last time I ordered, I found a small cock roach in my vegetable fried rice I was beyond disgusted. I threw it all out and made sure to alert Door Dash and get my refund. read more

In a sea of mediocre-to-poor Chinese delivery places in Northwest Yonkers, this one stands out as the worst one we've tried to date. Food arrived hot and promptly from Doordash, but was uniformly bad - doughy dumplings, tough crab rangoon, soggy egg rolls. My szechuan beef was about 75% onions with just a few paltry shreds of beef (see photo - I removed all of the onions and they nearly filled the container on their own!). Beef with broccoli and General Tso's were bland. Fried rice was basically the only edible thing in the order. Not worth a second chance. read more

Golden Dragon - Onions from Szechuan Beef - at least 75% of the order was onions! - Chinese Near Me - Yonkers, New York

Really good, really fresh. The fried items are crispy and not greasy. Meaty spare ribs. My fave is Neptune's Delight. Lots of scallops & lobster. read more

Good not great take out spot. It was honestly better than I expected, but still wasn't what I really wanted. Grabbed a chicken with broccoli meal with an egg roll, wanton soup and pork fried rice. Also got some fried dumplings. It was a lot, but I knew I wasn't going out the next day due to work, so it was really 2 dinners. First off, you get a ton of rice and an ok amount of chicken and broccoli. That part of the meal was pretty good. Tasted great and had a good amount of sauce. The egg roll was a bit too saturated. The dumplings and soup were ok. The place itself is fairly small, with an ordering counter and a few tables and chairs to the side. It's basically a spot I will hit in a pinch. read more

Always come here for Chinese food. Love the lo mein and roast pork here! Great local spot to get something quick to eat

This place is incredible! Hospitality first off is amazing -- the owners work here full time and they're both super accommodating even during busy times! It's hard to find Chinese food this good. Definitely worth a try! read more

I live around the area and I've gone here many times. But I'm not going to waste my time anymore. I drive to pick up my food and guess what? The food still ends up cold. Don't get the sesame chicken here. U can find better on south broadway. Honestly, I'm tired of giving these people chances. Trust me, u might have a good order day but don't expect it to happen all the time. I had to throw away my last phone from how disappointed I was lol read more

They are so unprofessional when answering the phones, they don't even tell you your order price you'll have to ask them and then they want to say it with an attitude as if they are bothered. Only reason I order here is bc it's the only close one. read more

The food here is pretty great not gonna lie but one day when I was out with my friends I ordered the sesame chicken with french fries and midway through eating it I found a cockroach a baby cockroach fried into my food and when I told my friend about it we went up to the female working at the counter and please pre-much asking for a refund and one thing of chicken really do was give us another one not a refund because they "made a second one so they're just going to give us the second one" read more

I asked for a delivery, before putting in my order. I was told only through Uber eats and was hung up on. Very unprofessional! Considering the reviews, I would have picked it up myself because of the reviews on the food. The fact that I wasn't even given a chance to say I'll pick it up to actually try the food is a turn off. The female you have answering your phone calls needs to be trained in communication before she shuts a customer down who's first choice is to have it delivered, but is also willing to pick up the food if need be ‍ Because I haven't tasted your food and I'm just going off customer service, I feel giving you a two star is more than generous read more

Tried to have food again from this shit hole. The last time I ordered food I was charged twice. When I told the owner I was charged twice and submitted a credit card statement he had a nasty attitude. I was then then told to come back a week later for reimbursement. I was given the money back however the attitude was that I was bothering them.......Be careful when ordering from this place.....Nasty people with a nasty attitude beware...The quality of food has gone down the toilet...... read more

Hair in food twice !!! Contacted them. No sorry. I contacted door dash no help. I ordered boneless ribs. Hair all in my sauce.

A standard take out place with a few tables and chairs for sit-down. People are very nice here. Service with a smile even when there are tons of customers. I'm surprised no one has reviewed this place yet. Its usually quite packed and the food is always fresh. This is the only take out place in Yonkers that I can count on for custom orders, i.e, tweaking spice level or omitting certain ingredients. Their food has lively flavors, interesting sauces and is quite tasty. So far I've had their dumplings, tofu with mixed veggies, General Tso's chicken, Singapore Noodles, spare ribs, among other dishes. Their hot and sour soup is actually very good, comparable to Chinatown restaurants! Its a relief to be able to get decent take out chinese food in my neighborhood which seems unusually dismal in its culinary offerings. read more

Excellent food at great prices. They only accept cash (no card), but they have a menu which includes not only chinese food, but fried chicken and plantains as well. Some of the best fried chicken I've ever had; I'm hooked! The staff is also friendly. read more
