Lady was friendly. And order was ready fairly quickly. Paid with a card but they prefer cash. The rib tips were mostly inedible. They were so dry. Could not chew. Stuck in your teeth kinda meat. The fried rice while was not the normal round the way yellow rice but rather the brown one you get from other Asian spots, had a funny smell and taste. This is one of your typical quick Chinese food spots in Yonkers. If you want something cheap and quick this is a good spot to try. I was able to go to Uber Eats and order the Sesame Chicken and Chicken Lo Mein lunch specials. They came with an egg roll and pork fried rice. The food was decent. I did not necessarily enjoy the pork fried rice. There was double the amount of rice than chicken. They did not give us an option to change it to something else on the app. That would have been helpful. Food was okay but I might try somewhere else next time. read more

I've lived near Lake Ave my whole life and rarely visit this Chinese food spot. The food here is overpriced, and the last time I ordered from here (about three years ago), I found a hard, plastic, lug nut-like object in my fried rice. I only go as a last resort or when the family kitchen in the square is closed. Today, I decided to go because of the brewing storm--two days of snow from January 24 to January 25. Since I knew the grocery store would be crowded and backed up, I saw no point in going. -- THE SERVICE I called in my order at 7:20, planning to pick it up on my walk home-- I was walking my dog, tying him up, and then picking up my food. I arrived at the Golden Dragon at 7:42, expecting my order to be ready, but I was told they hadn't even started it. The woman at the counter watched me tie up my dog, then walk inside. When I told her, "I called in the order," she repeated my order exactly how I said it on the phone "chicken wings with French fries, BBQ only on the fries." I confirmed this, and she said, "$13.00," but the food wasn't ready yet. She began preparing it after I paid and didn't receive my food until 8:08-- 48 min after I called in my order. I waited outside with my dog as she finished. She didn't wave or ask her coworker to call me over or hand me the food. I cracked the door and asked, "Is that my food?" She confirmed, told me to get it, but I didn't want to bring my dog inside a food establishment. I requested they bring the food to me, which they did. The food still isn't great--I didn't find any lug nuts or hard objects this time, but the preparationwas quick and sloppy. They close the container incorrectly and wouldnt you guess it, the bbq sauce leaked into the bag and left little to no none the fries. The chicken was also not cooked evenly. Some parts where hotter and harder than the others. Food arrived hot and promptly from Doordash, but was uniformly bad - doughy dumplings, tough crab rangoon, soggy egg rolls. My szechuan beef was about 75% onions with just a few paltry shreds of beef (see photo - I removed all of the onions and they nearly filled the container on their own!). Good not great take out spot. It was honestly better than I expected, but still wasn't what I really wanted. Grabbed a chicken with broccoli meal with an egg roll, wanton soup and pork fried rice. Also got some fried dumplings. It was a lot, but I knew I wasn't going out the next day due to work, so it was really 2 dinners. First off, you get a ton of rice and an ok amount of chicken and broccoli. That part of the meal was pretty good. Tasted great and had a good amount of sauce. The egg roll was a bit too saturated. The dumplings and soup were ok. The place itself is fairly small, with an ordering counter and a few tables and chairs to the side. It's basically a spot I will hit in a pinch. read more

Tried to have food again from this shit hole. The last time I ordered food I was charged twice. When I told the owner I was charged twice and submitted a credit card statement he had a nasty attitude. I was then then told to come back a week later for reimbursement. A standard take out place with a few tables and chairs for sit-down. People are very nice here. Service with a smile even when there are tons of customers. I'm surprised no one has reviewed this place yet. Its usually quite packed and the food is always fresh. This is the only take out place in Yonkers that I can count on for custom orders, i.e, tweaking spice level or omitting certain ingredients. Their food has lively flavors, interesting sauces and is quite tasty. So far I've had their dumplings, tofu with mixed veggies, General Tso's chicken, Singapore Noodles, spare ribs, among other dishes. Their hot and sour soup is actually very good, comparable to Chinatown restaurants! Its a relief to be able to get decent take out chinese food in my neighborhood which seems unusually dismal in its culinary offerings. read more
