The food is fantastic, the ambiance is clean and comfortable, and the staff is friendly, welcoming, and truly accommodating. After reading a couple of rave reviews, I knew I had to check it out for myself -- and I'm so glad I did! Yesterday, I stopped by and was greeted the moment I walked in . The menu is huge, but I already knew what I wanted: Spicy & Salty Shrimp. Instead of rice or noodles, I paid a little extra for steamed broccoli, plus I added two egg rolls and a bowl of their Hot & Sour Soup. Let me tell you... the shrimp were huge and packed with flavor . I'd absolutely order them again -- and next time I'll be asking for extra grilled onions and jalapeños because they were chef's kiss . The seasoning was just right, bold but not overwhelming, and the broccoli was steamed perfectly, exactly how I requested . The egg rolls and soup were also fresh, hot, and delicious . Honestly, there wasn't a single thing about my visit that I didn't like. So when that craving hits for excellent Chinese food, make sure Taste of China is at the top of your list . You can find them at 2949 College Street, Beaumont, TX. And don't forget -- tell them you heard about it on Best Bites!

The General Tao Chicken sauce was way too watery, which wasn't like that the first time I ate there. Fried dumplings were okay, dipping sauce is absolutely rancid. Lo Mein is a disgrace, can taste their poor water quality in every bite, and poorly seasoned. Oh, their food portions are absolutely ridiculous, SMALL!!! Overall all their foods aftertaste is like dirty dishes. The servers and front staff cannot stop gossiping amongst themselves to give you proper service, more eager to get back to their conversations and loud. Dining area really gloomy and adds to the bad taste of food. I will no longer waste my hard earned cash here, the place I highly recommend is "Taste of China Xpress."

All ingredients were super fresh and my only recommendation would to have more tamarind paste to be used like authentic Pad Thai and for the spice to be cooked into the dish. I asked for it to be made spicy and only dried peppers were bought out. However the shrimp and tofu were beautifully cooked and seasoned. I may be spoiled with the options I have in Houston but this was good to have locally. I've been here in the past and had the papaya salad which was amazing. Service is always quick and fast.

It smelled like a typical Vietnamese restaurant, but with a more rustic look. I liked the wooden interior of the restaurant, which made it feel very homey. I got the BBH Vietnamese style (with the pig's feet and blood cubes). They also offer an "American style" for those who are not as accustomed to the traditional BBH fix-ins. The bowl was huge so you are definitely getting a bang for your buck here and the broth was super flavorful and spicy. Out of all my friends who got noodle dishes mine was definitely the best. Also, they do not skimp on the meat here! I loved the generous amount of brisket in my bowl. They also had the shredded red cabbage and lime on the side, and I requested a side of chili oil as well which I'd recommend to all my spice lovers. (8.8/10) The service was fast and efficient even for a large party. The only reason I gave this place a 4/5 was because the other dishes that I tried with my friends were not on par with the BBH. I thought the pho broth was lighter than I liked and the grilled chicken for the grilled chicken and rice was very bland. If you are looking for some good BBH in Beaumont, I would definitely recommend coming here.
