No one ever makes us feel weird or unwelcome. The staff seem happy to work here. The booths are romantic and it is usually a little noisy only during peak lunch and dinner times. The first time I came here our waiter was amazing. She was such a sweetheart. The all you can eat option was worth the money especially if you can down more than 4 rolls. The volcano roll here was so juicy, warm, and covered in toppings. If you get it don't let it cool down. If you like having cream cheese in your sushi, get the 007 roll. It had a sweet wasabi sauce on there that wasn't spicy. We got a few appetizers as well. The Crab Rangoons were a bit flavorless and the charsiu pork was a bit too sweet and covered in oil or mirin. The chicken wings were on par with KFC or maybe a bit better. They also had ice cream for dessert. We even got these coins after dinner for the gatchapon machines and got these cute dog figures. Wow. Just wow. This place is the old Lubys. It's spacious and huge. It is very loud in here. I was not sure what to expect because it was AYCE /and it was not cheap. Adult price would be ok, but kids to be charged as adults, was kind of hefty. Especially when you have a party of 15. But, the food was actually really good and the service was fast! Was in Beaumont in a class from Houston, a colleague from the class who lives in the Deep South Valley, went with me, I heard of this place from Houston, and Houston has several All you can eats, this place was pretty good, started shakey with the Hostess, there were 3 of them they seemed to care more about their personal phones then patrons coming in, when we were finally seated, Hayden was our server, which also happened to be the bar tender, no issue. He gave us some recommendations, told us what he tried and has not and for the most part all his recommendations were good, you can't make everyone happy, but overall this place was good, the customer service from Hayden, the presentation, to the time orders were placed and served. I'm pretty loyal I eat here at least2-3 x a week. Their sushi isn't spectacular but as I prefer shashimi its a better value. Today was upsetting. I came n at 1105. Only 2 other tables in this old cafeteria size restaurant. I asked for a booth. The "hostess" walked me across the restaurant to a table. (ps if you've ever been there they have at least 5 two top booths). I stood by the front and reminded her I wanted a booth. With an attitude she came back and we said -I'll have to see whose next. My attitude kicked in and I just sat. At which point she decided to shout across the restaurant. "You don't have to be rude". Now I come a lot. Service is never great but never hostile. I left. Honestly asking for a booth and wanting a booth shouldn't have sat her off. People have bad days but this was unsupportable. Sure I'll be back but not soon. I believe they have a $20 all you can eat for lunch time as well, but you get less options of tools to choose from too. But I HIGHLY recommend the AYCE for $30 at dinner! Soooo good! And my husband's birthday is in 2 days so we're going there for dinner and he'll get to eat for free AYCE and they send out a robot cat cart that sings happy birthday to your table and it's carrying a little cupcake with a little candle in it too. If you want a server who is very knowledgable and attentive at Yuka, THEN DANNIE IS YOUR GO TO SERVER. He is very friendly and an extrovert. My dinner experience was phenomenal because of him. While skimming through the menu, I couldn't make a decision, so I asked Dannie some recommendations. He recommended me some rolls and told me what ingredients are served. And I often drink water, he was attentive enough to refill my drink without asking me or me asking him for a refills Everything was delicious and worth the price when you come in with an empty stomach. Request for Dannie to be your server if you do go!!! And of course I can't forget the sweetest food runner, Brandon Do. He delivered our meals and although I am a very forgetful person, I asked him what rolls are these and he answered me diligently. Hello! The food here is good considering how quickly it comes out. This is our second visit and it is just as good as it was the first time. The wait staff is attentive and friendly, and can answer any menu questions you have. The one sticking point I have, is the misspellings on the menu. A LOT of them.
