When family comes to town for the holidays, there's one spot that always makes our restaurant rotation--MX Sushi . We're a family of sushi lovers, and owners Macy and Eric never miss a beat when it comes to delivering fresh, flavorful goodness. You'll find them in the food court at Parkdale Mall, and trust me... they're worth the stop. I ordered my usual favorite, the Obe Roll --a perfectly rolled beauty stuffed with spicy crab meat and shrimp, then drizzled with just the right kick of sriracha. One of my granddaughters went for the fried California roll, filled with avocado, cream cheese, and crab meat--crispy, creamy, and absolutely delicious. I also grabbed egg rolls for hubby, and everything came out hot, fresh, and spot-on as always . But listen... the true star of the night --the one we could NOT stop talking about all the way home--was their cheese-filled rangoons . This is Macy Ding's recipe, and baby... it's a flavor explosion! Crispy, golden wontons on the outside with warm, creamy deliciousness on the inside. No surprise at all that they didn't make it home to share . These bite-sized beauties are an absolute must-try--so good they're what I call "drop folk" good . So if you ever find yourself craving sushi, I highly recommend MX Sushi . Tell them Best Bites sent you--and whatever you do, don't leave without ordering the cheese rangoons and one of their refreshing strawberry or peach drinks . Trust me... you'll be planning your return visit before you even finish your meal. They are Best Bites approved. read more

My husband and I's go-to when it comes to sushi. The staff is nice and their service is quick. The food itself is phenomenal. The kind where even after you're full you wish you could eat more. My favorite to get? The Crunchy Roll with either a side of the veggies or a onigiri (rice ball). read more

I didn't think I was going to like this place, however, I ordered the Fried X'Mas Roll and Shrimp Teriyaki and was very impressed for Beaumont, Texas. The sushi roll was delicious and still hot when delivered. The shrimp teriyaki was a huge portion. I got half rice/half noodles. Fast service, good pricing and definitely worth it! read more

Don't be put off by the fact that it's in a mall. MX Sushi is legit. The rolls were huge and beautiful and the service at the register was extremely friendly. Four stars for that. However, three of us shared four rolls, and they were a little too similar. We got the shaggy, the shrimp tempura roll, the salmon roll, and the caterpillar roll. The rolls were huge because the chef used a large amount of crab meat inside, which is generous and awesome, but that threw off the ratio of the ingredients and overpowered the flavor. If I was ordering just one it wouldn't have mattered, but because we were sharing.... I wish I could give 4.5 stars, because it was really close, and the people are really nice. I'll be back when I'm in Beaumont. read more

I got a new to me roll got a shrimp shell in the roll I'll go back and not get that one again stir fry was great as always and great customer service read more

This is my favorite sushi place in Beaumont and I usually eat from here at least once a week. I used to get the spicy hibachi grill, which is good and usually have me enough food to eat off of twice. Now I usually get the sushi. In my opinion, it's of comparable taste to other sushi places in Beaumont with bigger servings. I went to get sushi from Koi and while it was super delicious, I paid twice as much to get full and it wasn't twice as good as MX. read more

I don't frequent the mall food court regularly, but I just might be coming here more often now that I've tried this place. The friendly young lady at the counter recommended the Blazing salmon roll...they use a torch to lightly cook the salmon right in front of you. I also got the hibachi so I'd have leftovers for dinner, which comes with veggies and rice and/or noodles on the side. I ordered it a little spicy and I'm glad I added the "little" part in. It's the perfect amount of heat...I don't think I could handle the normal spicy and I'm usually the one asking for extra spicy. All around great place...cleanliness (as clean as a food court is going to be), friendly and knowledgable staff, and deliciously healthy food. Beaumont, you no longer have an excuse to eat a bunch of fried crap whilst shopping. read more

People probably turn away from this place because they're probably like " sushi in the mall? What the heck. Can't be good" but nooooo your wrongggg. This the best sushi in the golden triangle. Rolls are very big. I usually put the whole thang in my mouth but damn, with mx sushi I like to take my time read more

Great food and the owners are top notch. They use the finest ingredients and they have a customer base who keeps coming back for more.

I go to this place at least once a week.... they are always happy to see you and the food is always fantastic..very reasonable priced as well I really can not say that describes the appreciation I have for this place read more

We weren't expecting this place to leave a good impression. We ordered salmon nigiri, which was so good! Melts in your mouth. We also grabbed a jalapeño appetizer which was even better! Other than the pieces being too big. Can't complain. And we also grabbed a flavorful roll! I don't remember the name but it had fresh tuna on top and man that was delicious. We wouldn't mind stopping in again. read more

MX Sushi Bar - Delicious choices!! Salmon nigiri. A jalapeño appetizer. And the red dragon roll, it was great! - Sushi Bars Near Me - Beaumont, Texas

Super surprised by the friendliness and made to order sushi. The cashier was rather rude but the people that made our sushi were wonderful. The rainbow roll was very tasty. Would come back again for sushi fix even if it is in a mall. She says they're mom & pop owned. read more

Wife and I tried it out last week...its not bad...A little pricey for mall sushi but here in Beaumont you dont have too many choices as it is. The food was tasty and the service was good. They were pretty fast in making my rolls. Wife had some beef and vegies and she really liked it. Over all if I'm in the mall I will try it again. I am not a mall person so that is the only reason I would not go more often. That said if your in the area and you want some tasty sushi give MX a try. Its in the food court of the mall entrance so you cant miss it. read more

All the sushi rolls that I have ordered have been delicious. I think my favorite is the one topped with mango slices. Definitely some of the best sushi around. This place is way better than overpriced, mediocre Tokyo. It's about $10 per roll, but the rolls are pretty big and taste amazing! I have been coming here for years and hope that they never go out of business. The only con is that they are in the mall, so I would love for them to open a restaurant so that I don't always have to get it to-go. The mall is too sketchy for me to want to stay unfortunately. read more

The hibachi is amazing, and the sushi stands up to Tokyo's standards. Both are made fresh right in front of you. Honestly, the quality is astounding, considering that it's in the mall food court. This place will be one of my regular stops from now on. read more

Best hibachi in town!!! I got the chicken & shrimp combo hibachi last time. Today, I got the build your own hibachi for $5.99 per half pound. Meat choices: beef, chicken, pork, shrimp, fish & squid Vege: onion, mushroom, bell pepper, broccoli, carrot, celery, jalapeno, bean spout Sauce: teriyaki (they also added miced garlic and chili on mine) read more

Outstanding food. Great tasting. Great prices. The service is nice. I highly recommend to anyone

The best sushi in Beaumont! My fiance and I eat here almost every week. They're so nice and attentive!

It's Sunday and I was really in the mood for a Tokyo Obe roll but they were closed, so I proceeded to look through a list of places that had sushi rolls on Sunday and everywhere was closed this was my last resort but it definitely will be a go to spot from now on! read more

We didn't expect much seeing as this was in the mall food court but were really surprised that the sushi was on par with our regular place. Price was good too. Staff was friendly too. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to a friend. We will definitely go back. read more

Hands down the best sushi place in town. Every roll I try I have never been disappointed. Even their hibachi is delish!! Prices are reasonable too!! I always come here whenever I go to the mall. Macy and her husband are very sweet and very helpful too read more

Had the caterpillar roll and it was fantastic. Great price for a great roll. Will definitely eat here again next time I'm in the area.

Hands down, 5 stars! I was leery of mall food court sushi. I've been craving good sushi since I moved here 2 months ago. The sushi chef made the roles to order. Talk about fresh!! Amazing. Don't let the fact that this is tucked away in the food court fool you. Eat here. I promise, if you're a sushi lover, you won't be disappointed! read more

Sketchy for a sushi place to be located at the food court, but honestly the food is amazing and the price is very reasonable So if you guys are looking for a quick sushi this place is a must try! The only concern that I have is the ambiance of the place, where you actually eat (because it's in the food court) but other than that the food is great! read more

Amazing sushi & hibachi , great service and prices as well ;) MX has quickly become a favorite for me and my husband

My go to spot for food on the go, come get there special add some extra hot sauce the cook mixes up back there and a sweet tea and out in five min delicious food. Also don't be fooled by the sushi in that display they make it fresh and its good read more

Grear food and great service. I love their Hibachi！ Sushi is fresh and the price is reasonable. It's my first choice in pardale mall.

Thanks to the reviews, I decided to check it out. What a hidden gem! The made to order hibachi is really awesome - love the sauce they throw in it and everything they have out is very fresh! Got a vegan roll because seaweed salad in a roll sounded too good to pass up (loved it btw). The people were friendly and helpful as well. Highly recommend. For sure my new favorite sushi spot! read more

Best Sushi!! Especially for the food court!! SO happy that I stopped by. This is my new favorite place. The food is fresh, priced good and worth it. read more

The food at MX Sushi is very good. But watch your bill VERY CAREFULLY. And make sure your order is correct before you leave the counter. We were seriously overcharged and the young woman behind the counter refused to even look at our receipt or hear our case. Even when the manager agreed with us and showed her where she went wrong, she still refused to admit it. I also noticed the couple after us having the same issue. When we received our order it was completely wrong. Bottom line: Great food, but some (not all) immature and careless staff. read more
