Primo Electric - New electric installed for light fixture

David, Jesse, and the entire crew did an outstanding job from start to finish. Their work was clean, efficient, and highly professional. It's clear they take a lot of pride in what they do, and it really shows in the quality of the finished result. What stood out just as much as their craftsmanship was how kind, respectful, and courteous they were throughout the entire process. They made everything feel smooth and stress-free, which I really appreciated. I highly recommend them to anyone needing electrical work and have already referred them to others. I wouldn't hesitate to call them back for any future work.

This review is long overdue…read more My husband and I bought our house in 2022 and the first things we wanted to do was install our car charger and have someone look at our old electric to figure out if we needed to prioritize upgrades. Primo was the third company we reached out to for estimates and we chose them off of good vibes and competitive prices. I'm grateful for it. These guys are solid, honest people and won't recommend things you don't need. In fact, if you have a wild idea for something that is unnecessary or costly, they'll tell you up front so you know in advance. In addition to doing things the right way, they're respectful. I've chatted with a few companies about various house projects and David and Jesse treated me (a woman) like my input matters just as much as my husband's. It signals competence, excellence, and professionalism when, even though I say "my husband is the boss," a contractor checks with me just in case. And, it prevents arguments down the road. We've rehired Primo for light fixture swaps, outlet adds, new switch fixtures, and we plan to hire them for our upcoming upgrades because they're all around good people who do good work. Primo is a business that you root for, and are proud to support as a customer. We'll continue to work with Primo on our electric needs for all of these reasons and more. Thanks, guys!

After getting quotes for a panel upgrade from multiple electricians, we found Photonics Electric & IT services had the most reasonable prices. We worked with them over the course of the week and they were kind, professional, and super understanding of the urgency of our situation. Raul was especially helpful at guiding us through our next steps, handling the permits, and very timely with all his responses, which was comforting in our stressful situation. The job itself was extremely quick and easy and they even took the time to look at our other electrical issues with our circuit breaker. Kayra helped us fix a longstanding problem that our original electrician swore didn't exist. It was so relieving to see our lights finally working correctly! Definitely will be recommending them to everyone I know in search of a reliable electrician and will be contacting them for any future jobs. You guys are the best! :)

If you're looking for an electrician in LA, stop searching and call Nathan from Madison Electric…read more They installed an EV charger and did the electrical work on my home when I bought it. Top-notch work, all permits pulled correctly, no corners cut. When I later sold the house, an electrical issue came up during the sale -- turned out LADWP had dropped the ball, not Madison. But Madison treated it like their own problem, coordinated with LADWP directly, and had the whole thing resolved within 48 hours. They're skilled, ethical, and responsive. The kind of contractor you actually want to recommend to friends. Couldn't ask for better.

I also have a new build construction home with the wires pre wired so the actual work was not difficult at all. However (which I didn't know at the time), the Nema 14-50 plug that they bought at Home Depot and installed is not commercial grade (ie. Rated for EV charger use). It was a $15 plug and I only realized that when I want to use the EVSE charger at the maximum intended 40 amps, the socket would get extremely hot to the touch. I was worried about it melting (as you can google similiar stories) so I have been charging the car at only 20 amps max because I didn't want to spend more money on fixing the issue. 20 amps is fine and I can get a full charge overnight, it just takes longer since it's a slow charge. I'm finally posting this because I'm using the charger very frequently now (since I had free public charging for my EV which ended so now I have to charge at home) and I do wish my nema 14-50 plug was a heavy duty one so I can use the max amps of my juicebox. I didn't know then since I was a new EV owner so I want to make sure that other EV owners are aware and advocate for themselves/double check the work to make sure your house is safe!
