Good Chinese carry out they're always busy so service can be a little slow sometimes but I have never had a bad meal.

Our party of four had the two apps, 3 beers, and four entrees. Prices were pretty standard for Winston Salem. My fish was $18. We were given 3 small paper napkins for our party and had to request at least one per person. We got there between 7 and 7:30 and had finished eating by 8:30. They close at 9. At 8:35 they started mopping the dining room including the area next to our table. I worked in restaurants as a server, bartender and manager for about twenty years. This isn't ok. Our bill was well over $100 but it wouldn't have been ok no matter what the bill was. We realized that we were just an inconvenience to them. I tipped well because I always do. But I will not be back. Hospitality is important for repeat business.

The menu has a great mix of familiar Chinese dishes alongside more traditional regional specialties, and it's clear the restaurant isn't afraid to lean into bold, spicy flavors. The ambiance is cozy. It looks like they turned an old Biscuitville into the dining space, which is quite charming. We ordered quite a few dishes, including the steamed soup dumplings, ox tongue and tripe with chili sauce, Singapore mei fun, intestine with chili pepper, mapo tofu, kung pao chicken, and the intestine noodle. Everything was well prepared, but the standout was how the restaurant balances more "American Chinese" flavors while also staying true to some more traditional chinese flavors as well. The chili-forward dishes had plenty of heat without overpowering the other flavors, and each dish had its own distinct character. The ox tongue and tripe appetizer and the intestine dishes were great options if you're looking to try something a little more traditional. The portions were generous, making it a great place to order several dishes and share with the table. If you're used to American Chinese food, this menu offers a chance to branch out and try something different while still having plenty of familiar options available. If there is a dish I would not order again, it would probably be the soup dumplings. They tasted just like the store bought frozen variety that you can steam at home. Nonetheless, New Sichuan Restaurant is well worth a visit if you're desiring flavors that somewhat lean towards more traditional Sichuan cooking.

They are your average take out Chinese place but the food is good and the staff have great customer service! Highly recommend the sesame chicken and fried dumplings get it every time!

The staff was super friendly and thankful, the man at the register even gave me extra fortune cookies for free! Beware, the prices have changed from the past menu photos, however, I've included up to date pics of the menu. I got a small chicken lo mein and a krab ton wonton appetizer. For $5.50, I got 8 of the krab wontons and the $5.95 chicken lo mein filled my entire bowl (and stomach). Everything was delicious, I loved the lo mein and so did my boyfriend, he also loved his large chicken curry. The chicken curry came with a ton of chicken and my boyfriend, who is into weightlifting and on a bulk, couldn't finish the meal and now has a great protein rich meal for tomorrow! The krab wontons we're not the best I've ever had but they were still very very tasty and I would still recommend them. Overall, great establishment and I'm looking forward to trying their other meals!
