I was undecided whether to go in depth so others would understand or do a quickie because it doesn't deserve my time. I've chosen more in depth but, to save You time if you're trying to decide on dining here... Don't Go! Much better options down the street. That being said, , let me state a few facts, opinions, and a dash of analysis. Stop the Presses. This just in. After thinking about it something didn't seem right. Why is this so far off the mark? The thought was familiar, but I just couldn't put my finger on it. Then,as im trying to finish this a week later, it hits me. Ownership change! I think, "That's it!" After watching this type of decline in once good dining establishments over the years, I've really developed a feel for when significant changes happen and why. It's usually an ownership change, and as I've now confirmed with research, that's the case here. Now you may ask,"Guy, why worry about it?" Just move on. One reason I don't want others to spend their hard-earned money, caloric intake, and time on a disappointing experience. Really, that's what drives me. So the short of it is this. Current owners are investment bankers. Vestlink Holdings Aquired the 9 Jakes locations in 2021. Originally built by the Garvey brothers who purschased it second hand from Dickeys resturants after they pruchased it from the original Owner Jacob Lee Keller Jr. Thats a long way to say, a lot of the original "love" has been squeezed out. My assertation is, Investment bankers usually buy something to squeeze the excess cash out, resulting in inferior ingredients, less well paid employees etc etc. Just my opinion but...you get the point.

Be prepared for a lot of children running around in a tight space as well. Feel like this is more for families with little kids than a place if you want burgers and fries.

I continued to watch them make my sandwich with all the other regular bread sandwiches with bread crumbs flying all over. When they called that the sub was ready I came to the counter and again told the younger girl with long black hair that I can't eat that now, it was made on the main line and when I request it being made for an allergy it is usually made away from the other sandwiches over there and pointed to the back counter where they always make gluten free. She told me that it was really busy right now and they can't make it that way. It had to be made on the regular counter. Why even ask me if gluten free was for an allergy or a preference then????!!!!!!!!!! No other option was given. Just handed me the sandwich and expected me to eat it even though it was contaminated. The manager saw this too and offered no other solution. It could have simply been resolved by telling me they would make me a new one on the back counter area for gluten free if I could wait a few minutes and I would have been fine with that. Instead my husband who was angry at that point had the sandwich refunded since they refused to remake it for me. I sat and watched my family eat and had to grab something else on the way home. Completely unacceptable. Don't offer gluten free for allergy purposes if your staff is not knowledgeable about it or willing to accommodate even when its busy. Your staff was rude and the manager didn't even try to help and had a look on her face like she hated being there.

Sometimes you can see an irridescent sheen from the meats -- that is the sulfites. I tried an experiment after getting quite sick at Jersey Mike's: I got a veggie sub with the same toppings as the sub that got me sick. No problem! That's when I found out some people are sensitive to sulfites. I also found that same irridescent sheen on meat at Aldi. If you get sick after eating there, it's probably not because of spoiled or mishandled food, it could be that you are sensitive to sulfites like me. Hope this helps someone.
