Terrible experience in the drive through. My wife ended up paying for the wrong order due to the incompetence of the employee working the drive through. They still got her order wrong at the food window. She was asked to park. An employee eventually came out with a drink, which was the wrong drink. She ended up having to go inside to try and settle the situation and she was accused by the manager of trying to steal food by saying that they'd already given her the food. After further explanation she was given her order but on the drive home discovered that not only her drink was wrong, but they left the drink box out of the kids meal and forgot the sauce for the nuggets. Very disappointed in this location. I can see why it only has 1.5 stars. Avoid this location and head to Burger King. read more

Seems like they have new management. Today is the second time a very unpolite and impatient person takes my order. It got to the point I had to ask her to be more patient and wait. McDonald's is so awesome!!! When I go inside the place it's so nice. You can take a order from a big tablet and that was cool. And it delivers it to us but there were two issues 1. The person that was serving didn't give us enough silverware because Me, My Daughter, and her two friends all wanted hot cakes and we all wanted silverware so it would be dumb not to give more silverware but wait till the next one it's worse. 2. My daughter and her friends were playing on the touch 2 play tablets and there was a table with only two seats and there was three of them so My daughter gets a chair and those chairs are t THE LOUDEST chairs I have ever heard there were some elderly in there and they even thought those chairs were loud. I stop at this McDonalds twice a year. My class does a food observation where we place different types of food in jars and watch the breakdown process. I always pick up a burger, fries and chicken nuggets for our observations. Every time I stop here they are so friendly. In the afternoon and evenings its mainly teenagers working. Most of them Sachse High School students. The drive through is always pretty quick and they rarely screw up an order. Im not big on fast food but if I had to eat something Id probably try their salad. It would be nice if they had a few more healthy options like Wendy's does. read more

Drive-thru madness. I ordered a medium fry with two burgers and then a combo which includes a fry. After being made to wait in one of the set aside sections I get my order. It's missing a fry. I'm on a time crunch so I leave the car where it's at run inside and let the manager know I'm missing a fry. Normally they would take care of it due to THEIR mistake but not in this case. My wife and I stopped in for a quick treat while we were out. I ordered a small Oreo McFlurry. What I received was McFlurry that was about 3/4 of the way full, with another portion of it smeared inside the plastic lid. The McFlurry was more of a McMessy. The taste of the McFlurry was bland. Also I was given no napkins even though we asked. Part of the McFlurry was on the handle of the fancy square spoon and part of the cup. I used some tissues I had in the car to wipe down the cup and the spoon. My wife and I were in a hurry so we did not have a chance to speak to anyone about the issues. This McDonald's is fairly busy being right off Hwy 78. The drive thru was quick. The person who took our order was friendly. I used the mobile ordering feature for lunch for myself and my kids. I'm never sure if this is a time-saver or not. The line looked long in the drive-thru so it seemed like a good option. We hadn't waited long when I saw an employee making his way to my car. He had my drink tucked between his chest and arm so he could hold the bags. I'd never really thought about it until the moment that my soda was caressing this man's breast, what happens to our drinks before we meet them? There was mold coming out of coke spigots, debris all over floors, nothing had been wiped down or restocked in sometime. The guy gave me the food and I asked if my 2 medium fries were in the bag (since I ordered last minute) & he said "yea yea" sounding sure but not sure. When your staff don't know what a double cheeseburger is - an item that has been on Mickey D's menu for 20+ years - and then take a regular cheeseburger, that's already been sitting for a while, open it up and slap on another piece of meat and cheese and don't even attempt to melt the cheese, serving you a semi warm/cold burger with a slice a cold cheese..... you know you are at the wrong McDonalds..... When I ordered the double cheeseburger in the drive-thru and she said "You mean a McDouble?" I knew there was no way I was going to get this order and enjoy it. In fact, it's rare that you get anything from any fast food restaurant and actually enjoy the food these days - you just eat it because you're in a hurry and it's not worth your time to complain. The staff were also childish, giggling and obviously careless of my order. I have heard that the inside decor of this restaurant is gorgeous, but that's also typical for McDonalds - they care more about how things look than how it tastes. I really hated to see MD's even coming to Sachse because there's one just down the street in both Wylie & Garland if I ever have a craving (which would be almost never) and we certainly don't need another fast food business ANYWHERE, but it's there now, making the city "tax" money, so what can you do?
