So, pulled up to the drive thru and the first car was already sitting and sat another five minutes before finally placing their order and moving forward. I pull up and I'm immediately told that I needed to wait. I knew, then, that my order was going to be wrong. The young lady comes back about 6 minutes later to the speaker and tells me that I can order. I ordered the 12-piece mixed fried chicken family meal. Her response, "I don't think we have 12 pieces of chicken." My response, "Aren't you the chicken place? It's 5 pm. Cook more." ‍ She went to check and came back and said that they had 12 pieces. I ordered fries and corn nuggets for my sides and made sure that she knew that I needed rolls, honey and ketchup. She stated that rolls automatically come with it and that she would get my honey and ketchup, I, also, ordered two large drinks. Got home. Missing rolls, ketchup and honey. Guess it's my fault for expecting any type of customer service to ensure that my order is correct. It never is there. End result? This is the nth time that their customer service was bad and my order was missing items. Won't be back if it requires spending my own money. Too many other chicken places in Dville that get my order correct every time to play with one that doesn't every time that I go while trying to give them the benefit of the doubt. No longer will patronize. read more

Normally don't review chains but the lady in the drive through told us the wrong thing and then was rude about it. Just miserable human.

OMG !! I ordered online order went through great got to the restaurant. It wasn't ready. No big deal asked me to pull up. I did please see the attached picture on the heaping order of coleslaw. I received. I like the fact that it lets you substitute a drink for an extra side, which I did, but I didn't get the extra side I requested all thighs, but of course they were out of thighs so I got breasts. I like dark meat. Not the best experience I would say read more

Waited 15-20 minutes in the drive-thru with no movement, and several cars behind us left -- we eventually did too. I went inside with my 7-year-old to order, and the restaurant smelled strongly like marijuana mixed with food. We stood in line while the cashier (Tonaaya M.) kept her back to us, didn't acknowledge us, and continued helping others while laughing/playing around. When I asked for help, she said "hold on" without even looking at me. Another employee was standing nearby and I had to ask her directly to help. Overall the service was rude, slow, and unprofessional. I've filed a complaint with Golden Chick corporate about the service and the conditions in the store. Won't be back. read more

On April 18, 2025 my husband and I went through the drive thru. We ordered the fish and shrimp dinner, and a family size order of chicken. My husband wanted the shrimp and fish. He said the shrimp tasted like it had been sitting under a lamp since noon. No meat, just breading, and the fish wasn't any better. I had the two wings, some okra and fries. It was ok. The next morning, I had the worst upset stomach and had diarrea all morning. Truly awful experience Penny Crawford read more

I know you lying.....waited in line with only 1 other car so long to order I backed out and left. The drive thru agent did say "just a second" after the 20 mins wait behind the silver Altima but got dang. I graduated from D'ville but clearly the area has changed. Very disappointed. You don't have to worry about me coming back. Y'all got it. read more

I purchased lunch today with cash, when I finished the 8-piece tender meal with a side salad and fries along with a large punch, I took the top off and saw a black bug walking around in the drink. Not sure if I was given a receipt, but no receipt could be found. I called and went back to the restaurant - manager Pat quickly took the 1/3 eaten meal and the drink with the black bag in it BUT but they would not give me my $16 dollars and some change back - NO REFUND because the Pat manager said she needed the order number to put in the computer AND since the order didn't register on either of the 2 computers (although she said they had computer problems during the noon time) - NO REFUND. I go there often/weekly for lunch and or dinner. Check the cameras manager Pat, I was there in the drive thru at noon!! You took my money and gave me a black bug!! Yuk, yuk!! read more

I've tried this location and this brand of chicken for the second time now, and I have to say that both times have been hot, fresh and consistent. The rolls are super soft with a hint of sweetness to them. The catfish and chicken were seasoned just right and was nice and crispy. I also enjoy the crunchy French fries, along with a side of gospel that they play in the dining area. The cashier at the front was nice but, a little language etiquette could be brushed upon since she let a curse word loose, but was quickly corrected by her coworker. Other than that, I will visit this location again! read more

Hell no they had the audacity to sell me a cookie that happened to almost a month old. Don't buy their cookies or any dessert for that matter they might have! You can see the expiration date on the picture in my profile. read more

This is the closest one to me, and it has never disappointed me. I always order the four piece chicken strips, all spicy with fries, ranch, and a big red. The fries, are the right amount of crispy, in my opinion. My mouth is getting watery thinking about. When we order family style we always order chicken, fries, and mac. The Mac here is so good, you will not be displeased. The sweet tea as well, is always the right amount of sweet. If you eat inside you will also be able to get a ice cream cone. read more

The rudest, and when asked why they are advertising the exact same meal, one under the family meal and one on the 'special' with the special being 1$ more, no one had an answer? Re = Their version of the " original " The State Fair of Texas Corny Dogs " = DON'T EVEN BOTHER ! I am a big aficionado of the original state fair of Texas Coney dogs. I have been eating them for over 30 years and absolutely love them. When I first heard that Golden Chick was selling the original State Fair of Texas Corny Dogs " for a limited time, I was eager to see if they were the real deal or not? My curiosity was quickly answered, when I bought one yesterday. The Coney dog was bland and absolutely had no flavor or taste, like the original state fair of Texas Coney dog! The Coney dog batter was completely different and not the same batter, as the " original " State Fair of Texas Corny Dogs ! " Also the Coney dog was greasy and something like you would buy at Sonic, or from the grocery store in a frozen package. *** Bottom Line = Save your money and go to the State Fair of Texas, to buy the original Coney dog. read more

I felt so bad, the Owners were obviously there, as they sat in the air conditioned seated area, and the cooks, were sweating profusely in the back with nothing but a fan. its 95 degrees outside and ovens, fryers were going. That was not cool. The sauce tasted watered down, too. i have been there a few times, and normally really friendly and the food is what it is. Not gourmet but its ok, for an immediate need. My friends and I arrived to discover that the lobby was closed so we decided to go through the drive thru. We let the person that took our order (Keshayla) know that it was three separate orders since we all had different payment methods and asked if that was okay with her. She repeated what we said and then she let out a loud heavy sigh. We asked if it was okay but she went ahead and asked what the first order was and so forth. I asked for a 6 piece combo and only received 5 pieces and one of those pieces was super dry, falling apart, and hard to chew. My friend who also ordered 6 pieces only got 4 pieces. My other friend did get all of his pieces. Unfortunately, we didn't check our orders as they gave them to us in one bag. I always check but tonight we didn't. We arrived at our destination and that's when we realized that we got "gypped" as my friend pointed out. I understand that it's a drive thru order which is why we asked if that was okay with her but she only responded with a very loud and heavy sigh. This was the worst experience I've had at this location if I don't count the time that there was a guy bothering us for money and none of their employees told him anything. I was so glad to find this place a few months ago but customer service had definitely declined in the last few weeks. I think we'll drive bit farther to another Golden Chick location or to Raising Cane's if this is the attitude they treat customers with. read more

Slowest drive thru ever! 20 people in the kitchen and in line for 45 min..... go in if you want your food fast avoid the drive thru.

Pretty much whole staff is rude. As soon as we parked before 9pm, the cashier who was taking out trash rolls her eyes and walks back in. While taking our order she's annoyed that we ordered a somewhat big meal. The lady cook threw the corn nuggets on the counter and the other lady putting the food together said it was clean and asked if we still wanted them. The fries have gone stale, but the rest of the food was okay. The gentleman cook was cordial. Everyone else, bad service. read more

Never again will I visit this establishment! The drive-thru line was long so I went inside. I had to wait about 15 minutes for my food. I had 4 hungry kids waiting in the car. I got home, my wings were not spicy, no seasoning what so ever! I got a kids meal with a chicken leg. There was no chicken leg in my order! Then when I drove all the way back there...the owner did not replace my order! He gave me a hard time. While I was arguing with him-someone else brought their wrong order back too. Manager was rude as well as the cook, that act like he didn't won't to do his job. Chicken was not hot, and they claim it just came up, but when I walked in 15 minutes prior, that same chicken was sitting up there already. The place was not busy and I was standing there with a few other people's trying to decided what we wanted, so fresh chicken was not what I would call fresh if it's been in the same rack that I seen when I first walked in.
