ordered for the first time and food was excellent. Although the hot and spicy soup at mild level was actually insanely spicy, everything else hit the Mark. Sesame shrimp was delicious. Shrimp and lobster sauce with fried rice combo was wonderful. The eggrolls could use a little more flavoring and maybe a tad more crispiness but we're OK. The store might've actually been the egg drop soup which is typically not high on my list. I get dumplings and fried wontons and the crab rangoon. The only thing that I don't like from here is the egg roles. The crust is weird. Great service. I just couldn't believe the size of the five ribs that came with my small order. The cost was only $6.95 for five giant, deliciously flavored barbecue spareribs! Definitely good enough to justify a trip here. The pork dumplings were average and were very doughy. They were tasty though, and I think there were nine in my appetizer order. Again a very generous serving! I ordered the chicken and broccoli dinner. Average flavor but again a larger portion and a very fair price. I was happy that the broccoli was completely cooked and soft and not hard like many places. The chicken and garlic sauce were average but good. Recommended for Chinese food in the Freehold area. I am SO disappointed in my delivery order. My wonton eggdrop soup was flavorless. It desperately need some salt. My boneless ribs combo was very difficult to eat. The ribs were not cut well so I had huge chunks of fatty pork with a lot of gristle. They were inedible and I through them out. We also ordered the pork chow fun. The pork was very overcooked and I couldn't chew it. It was served with more onions than noodles and I even found an onion skin in my chow fun. We ended up throwing that out too. The only good part of the whole meal was the eggroll, which was very tasty. I will never order from Golden Bao again. read more

I've never been to this place before but my friend asked me what I wanted after my surgery and I said "hot and sour soup". She found this place on the way to my house and ordered a chicken fried rice for her. When she got to my house with the food, we shared the fried rice. I'm not one who particularly gets fried rice but wow, I was highly impressed with this one! It was absolutely delicious. There was chicken, vegetables and I think even egg but the flavor was exceptional. Their hot and sour soup was packed with all kinds of veggies, tofu and pork that was so tender and flavorful. Good solid spot for "Americanized" Chinese food. My hot & sour soup was above average, and my Szechuan beef was very good, although the spice level was a little timid, even though I specified extra spicy. Other items (sesame chicken, sauteed string beans, etc.) were tasty as well. Since this place is just around the corner, we'll be going back as our "go-to" for basic Chinese. Unfortunately, the perks of getting free food aren't enough to make this place good. For starters, they must clean their pots and pans with steel wool, because I found a strip of it in my beef and string beans, so that was a pretty big turnoff.
