I rec'd 2 permanent Crowns today. Dr. Modugno did a great job. She is friendly and personable. I would recommend.

This office is a joke. if i could give zero stars i would......Why are they still open! Run away...fast! my 81 year old mother who only has EDP which is a discount dental card, has been going here for several years, but never really needed anything done except cleanings/xrays. a few weeks ago we go for her cleaning, they tell her she has severe decay, needs to break off her "4-tooth" bridge, just to see if they can save the two anchor teeth, THEN will need to have a new bridge done once they "see" what happens with her two anchor teeth. and she may need to go elsewhere for a root canal. So luckily i mention it to my brother whose dentist is awesome and professional. he takes mom there, pays out of pocket and dentist tells us "nothing wrong with her bridge/anchor teeth etc....she needs a really deep and thorough cleaning and has a cavity to be filled. they are taking care of it tomorrow....AND my mother just had a cleaning from Goldbergs office two weeks ago! so Goldberg did nothing but take moms money, then trying to charge her $2500 for a new bridge and teeth pull....she didnt need and never mentioned the cavity. no worries, i am not taking her back there, we will travel out east to Manorville to the new dentist and pay out of pocket for her. Number one you will never get a live person to answer the phone just goes straight to voicemail. Unprofessional!!!. Number two the girl running the desk is very rude. I asked for my records to be faxed to the new Dentist - never done! Important to read these reviews and don't ever use this Dental Office if you want to be completely satisfied. The reviews assist potential new patients and if this office doesnt get their shit together they will definitely sink!!!! Drs have staff running this office with attitudes and is certainly a reflection on Drs ! I will be reporting this office to the medical board as well. Left numerous messages with no response or cooperation!!! Especially urgent messages for Dr to call me back to report the current situation to get all my dental work done before insurance ran out! I have gone to dr, Goldberg office for many years and was happy, that is no longer true,,, the newer staff are not good, I had a woman dentist do very bad work and when she couldn't fix it sent me to a specialist,,, now I had to have a great deal of work done including fixing the shoddy work she did,,, the only good thing about that office is Liz the receptioist I will miss her, also it's very outdated the equipment and not clean looking,,, do yourself a favor and go elsewhere, I'm sorry I waited so long read more

I can only speak well of this dental office. Everyone is always pleasant and helpful to me. Though the dentist may not say much, I don't doubt her excellent capabilities. read more

I just change insurance from health plex to united health care from jan1 I was told there is a bug in the provider computer that they don't know if the are a provider just spoke with Jodi at 8pm on a Friday night to tell me they are not a provider of them and got thru my email a list of providers thru my union listen Dr goldberg get rid of your stuff they will bankrupt you funny it ask me to post a star they are not worth it read more

Me and my family have used this dentist for years and I'm done with Dr Goldberg. You walk-in the door and the mask police jump on you about wearing a mask. Really it's 4 years past Covid. The receptionist saysyou were told when you made your appointment. Sorry' but if I was told that I would never make an appointment there. I told the receptionist this is the only place I've been to in 2 years still mandating masks. She says hospitals do and if I don't like it I don't have to go there. Thanks Mrs liberal mask police. So me and my daughter had to wait in the hallway even though there was no one else there. Shame on me for not walking out but figured just get it done The dental technician and hygienist were great and were apologetic that it's Dr Goldberg mask policy. Some other dentist came in after the X-rays and literally looked in my mouth for 2 seconds. I told her I had a chipped tooth and she told me it was plaque and would be fine after cleaning. Hello the chip is still there after cleaning. If she actually looked she would see it. My daughter said she spent a 30 seconds with her also. Really. That's how you treat your patients As I am leaving the receptionist says the dentist recommends I change my front crown and that she has to put in for the approval. Excellent Dentist. Always friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. The Hygienists are alway great.

Front desk is absolutely horrendous, automatically doesn't answer the phone and sends to voicemail as default. When you arrive, there's a mask policy on the door despite there not being a an active mandate for over a year, and they choose when they want to enforce it. So you come three visits, no mask, assume it's for people who have active symptoms or who are non vaxxed, then be told to stand in the hallway and wait despite only one other person in the waiting room and the receptionists behind a closed window. And please do not get me started on the blonde dentist, in my initial visit I knew she didn't check my X-rays and teeth thoroughly, but I was cautiously optimistic. I had a broken tooth a month later, and when I came in to get it fixed by a different dentist I asked him to look at those same X-rays again for me: four different procedures needed, one near a root canal. I do have to say, the one older male dentist is very sweet, quick, and does a great job, as does their main X-ray tech, but the two of them need to get off that sinking ship. read more

They never call you back when leaving a message!! They moved to another office (same building) funny no mention of it when making or confirming my appointment!! When I mentioned it to the secretary no apologies just silence. Listening to the woman at desk speak to people on phone I just kept thinking to myself HOW RUDE she is.. This is the worse office staff ever. My kids were new patients, they canceled 3 times. I called and left 3 messages to reschedule. They never called back. When I called and said I left a message on the previous Monday, the lady on the phone was so rude and was like I never got a message what do you want me to do about it?? Seriously?? I'm obviously looking for a new dentist for my kids even though we've never even been there. Nobody cares anymore, nobody wants to work anymore.... Sad very sad. read more

I haven't been to this office in serveral years due to a change in insurance. I recently got new insurance and decided to go back. The place has not been updated in many many years. There is a several month wait just to get an appointment. Dont make the mistake I made and assume that your appointment includes a total visit. You have to be very clear you want a check up, xrays and a cleaning. They have separate appointments for each of those procedures ( charging your insurance separate, I'm sure) . So I waisted my time and went in only to have X-rays. The person taking xrays scolded me for bringing my child. I never had an issue ANYWHERE before. We had a 10 minute argument about me having to reschedule my visit and that I have to find someone to watch him or come get him. He was sitting quietly playing his video games the entire time. It wasnt like he was running or screaming. I asked if he could just step out during the xray part and she said NO. Never offered any alternative. I demanded to be seen, and that he would be fine stepping out for a few minutes.According to her this was a fire, safety, health issue and she could be fired for this. Really, for a child stepping out of the room for a few seconds while the xrays where being taken???? He literally sat on the floor outside the room for 1 minute while the xrays were done and then came back in and sat in the chair next to me. NOT FAMILY FRIENDLY!!! I asked her if I was the only one that ever came in with a child, her response was next time don't bring him. Well there wont be a next time. I hope other parents see this review and do not go there. To close the deal they still use old fashion film xrays not digital. The dentist was very unfriendly and barely did anything at all. So 3 months wait for an appointment just for xrays and no cleaning and unfriendly staff. NO THANK YOU. read more

This place is the WORST!!! The receptionist/manager at the front desk is so rude she argues with patients want to overcharge me she makes mistakes with the appointments and bills and insurance very often she is so horrible and mean the worst attitude ever so no polite so unhappy they are such scam Dr is rude and unprofessional always in a rush she told me that i needed to have done a root canal it wasnt "true" i founded funny i never have cavities i have good teeth its in my genes and i also take care of my teeth. I have been with this dental center for almost 2 years, at 400 west main st in Babylon. From the beginning i was not happy with them, but i was new with health plex and did not know any other dentist in the area. I gave them the benefit of the doubt. At the time the office manager they had tried to work with us and was pleasant. She tried to accomodate to our dental needs. Unfortunately she left. They became increasingly difficult to reach on the phone. It seems like they are always out to lunch. I signed up for Dr. Goldberg, but i never met him. The female dentist is not very friendly or comforting. She does not explain anything and when you ask she is very quick and short in her responses. I had bridge work done by her that fell out three times, I had to wait awhile before she saw me. Finally i was seen by another dentist who cemented it correctly so far. The last straw was that my husband had an infection, there were no emergency visits available. He would have to wait a couple of days. We finally decided to leave this dental office, i called heaithplex and changed. We went to Dr. Freedman in Deer Park. My husband was seen immediately, the dentist and the staff was wonderful. read more
