I missed a fair amount of work because of this and all the repairs for the bad fillings were done without numbing my teeth so each of the appointments were uncomfortable in the extreme. I really didn't feel like they cared at all about the situation. Only positives were that they didn't charge me for the repairs and they were quick to act. BEWARE! SUSPICIOUS BILLING PRACTICES!…read more We had to share this post awareness!! My husband visited the Kane Dental offices for a filling. After the filling and before heading out he was told there was a "Co-pay" of $107. After paying the "Co-pay" he noticed a balance of $2.00 left on the account. Any amount on the account would accrue interest. The attendant immediately removed this mysterious balance once questioned. The following week we reached out to our insurance. After speaking with our insurance representative it is discovered that the filling is completely covered with NO co-pay needed. Once learning the dental visit was covered we reached out to the billing department at the Kane Dental office. After questioning the Co-pay, we were told that the doctor my husband met with was NOT in-network. It is to be noted that the office itself is in-network but he was booked with doctor that wasn't? The doctor not being in network was not mentioned, we were simply told the charge was a "co-pay." This only seems to be an explanation until we reach out to our insurance again. This time the insurance explained the name of the doctor the office billed under IS DEFINITELY in-network and reiterated that we should not have needed to pay out of pocket. We call the Kane Dental Billing department again with this new information. To this they say they billed under the wrong doctor & that the doctor he saw that day was definitely NOT in network and the bill would be corrected to the appropriate doctor. We confirmed with our insurance that the doctors name was never corrected. In fact, they billed for the same procedure twice, which the insurance declined. No apologies on behalf of the office were made or offers to remedy the mistake. It should be questioned...at what point did the office bill the insurance for the in-network doctor? Before or after the "co-pay" was paid for an out of network doctor? After requesting, not offered, compensation we are offered a credit or check. We requested the check. This has yet to be received. We are unsure if this was intentional but it's definitely suspicious.

I called his office on Tuesday, the 29th for an emergency visit and was granted an appointment at 12N. (July 30,2025) I reached there around 11:30 as I was parking my car I received a call from the receptionist informing me that my appointment had to be rescheduled because they have "equipment problems". I said I am already at the door and all I needed was for him to look at my tooth (10 seconds) to see if I am infected. I was in pain. She agreed and I walked in. There was one patient waiting, she was taken in, and as I am sitting there, two more patients walked in. One after the other they were taken in. The "equipment trouble" was a big lie. I sat there for two hours and finally walked out and called the receptionist and told her how I felt about the situation. She apologised to me. If the Dr. did not want to see me due to any reason, all he had to inform me was he was busy. I went there with an appointment. I always felt that he was very unprofessional and rude and no manners. He is an immigrant like I am. I do not know what I did to him to hate me. He is hungry for MONEY. If you notice, majority of the positive reviewers are all females. Nobody likes coming to the dentist for cleanings or otherwise.... and I'm always a little bit nervous. In my opinion, you can do well at your job, but if you can't get your patient to relax in the Dental chair, there may be a bigger problem at play. I had some serious sensitivity in a couple of spots so I let her know. After that , I could feel and see she was being super gentle with me and still getting the job done . She gave me some good tips on how to prevent and help the recession in those sensitive spots. She gave me a couple of good tips, 1 being ( and I had never heard of this before) . that I should use my non-dominant hand to brush so I'm not applying too much pressure, totally makes sense. right? She praised me for my home healthcare, which is always a good feeling that what you're doing at home is helping.. I would absolutely recommend Hamida . The front desk were very professional and kind as well. I will come here every six months and pay out-of-pocket for my alternate cleanings . ( I go somewhere else for the alternate six months cleanings where they take my insurance. ). Coming to HS DENTAL is worth every penny & saving your teeth . I do recommend the hygienist..I have not yet seen the dentist at this particular location YET . Maybe in the summer I will have a crown redone that is a shade or two off... SO...stay tuned.

Maureen gave me the best exam I have ever had at a dentist. She took all the measurements of my mouth, including all the X-rays, and then used this new technology to capture images of my entire mouth. I could then view them on the screen. And gave me an excellent cleaning. Gentle with no pain. Additionally, Dr. Glackin was amazing. He is smart, funny, and gives it to you stright, but does not make you feel bad about anything. When he came in and looked, he went over all of Maureen's work and then checked each of my teeth. I have to go back for some more work, but I will not even give it a thought because they all made me feel so comfortable.
