After the service was complete, and I picked up the vehicle I noticed there were a new few issues that were not present prior to me dropping the vehicle off. After speaking with the owner Brandon and pointing out the things that were not a problem before, he agreed to have me bring my vehicle back in so that he could have one of his best ASE certified techs look over everything. They found the issue, ordered the needed parts and got the repairs completed at no additional cost! Throughout the process there was constant communication with the status of repairs, and regular updates. Overall, my Wife and I are very satisfied with the service we received and the overall outcome. Brandon is a stand-up guy and his staff are all a great bunch of people! It has been MY experience that the mechanic at NATIONWIDE DISCOUNT MUFFLER located at 2836 Lakewood Ave SW, Atlanta, GA 30315 is definitely no exception to that rule. My car is 11 years old and yes it has a number of issues (even MORE after having it jacked up by these....people at NATIONWIDE DISCOUNT MUFFLER. After saving up the hard earned money I needed to begin to address some of those issues, and after doing a little research (but obviously not enough) I decided to trust those people at that "shop" to make those repairs versus taking it to the Nissan dealership which would have charged more; but you definitely get what you pay for. In this instance, I definitely got what I deserved by taking my car to this place versus to a more reputable establishment all in the interest of trying to support a black-owned business. While they did adequately repair my catalytic converter and another minor repair in addition to an oil change, when it comes to electrical issues, it was a no-go!! Additionally, if you want an exercise in frustration with a HEALTHY dose of futility then request that they repair the air conditioner!!! I paid these people OVER $1252.17 to supposedly repair the air conditioner in my car. They had the car for 3-4 days and when I got it back, the interior was filthy with grease and dirt that was not there when I dropped the car off (2nd time that happened). Then the air conditioner worked for about 2 weeks and then began blowing hot air AGAIN...in the middle of the 900 degree Georgia summer! I brought that to the attention of the owner, Kevin Greene, and he advised me that I had a warranty on the work performed on my car so I should bring the car back in for them to look at it to see what the issue was. I work everyday and I use my car to get back and forth to work so I was reluctant to take the car back to them knowing that I would be another 3 or 4 days without my car but I also needed the air conditioner. Upon review of the work order, I noticed that they recommended Freon service at a cost of $60.00 (which I would have thought was a part of the air conditioner service anyway but apparently not!) So I added the freon myself to save that $60.00 yet still no air. That confirms to me that I have been scammed and that these people did not repair what they said they did not even BEFORE I ADDED FREON. To make matters worse, they didn't even look at the in-cabin compartment filter which is standard operating procedures when addressing air conditioner issues. Even worse, now the weather is getting cooler and my heat does not work which is a direct result of the air conditioner screw up. Compounding the aggravation is the fact that they did not replace the nuts and bolts that they removed to do whatever they did and now my car is rattling, things are knocking and my car is making noises under the hood that it was NOT making before taking it to Nationwide Muffler. I was also told that my engine oil temperature sensor was not working and that was the reason why my vehicle did not pass emission inspection, so I let those people replace it, or so I thought. I have had to take my car to Nissan to repair what those....people at NATIONWIDE DISCOUNT MUFFLER screwed up and screwed me out of a couple thousand dollars in the process. I JUST got word TODAY from the people at Nissan that the engine oil temperature sensor that was supposedly replaced by those.....people at NATIONWIDE DISCOUNT MUFFLER was NOT even connected and was being held in place by a zip tie; A PLASTIC ZIP TIE!!!! WTF?! Now how bootleg, unprofessional and ghetto is that? Of course they deny and rfefuse to own up to the fact that they are a glorified shade tree mechanic but believe you me, I WILL NEVER EVER, EVER, EEEEEEEEEVVVVVER USE THIS PLACE AGAIN FOR ANYTHING! I thought about suing them, and still might but I am too busy to take time from work to pursue it so this review will serve as a warning to anyone who considers using this place. I will have to settle for filing a complaint with the BBB and posting anywhere else so people can be made aware of the rip off and poor ass work performed by those.....people at NATIONWIDE DISCOUNT MUFFLER located at 2836 Lakewood Ave SW, Atlanta, GA 30315. When it rains someone meets you at your car with an umbrella to walk you inside. They do diagnostics and let you know what will be charged and fixed before touching your vehicle. They are so transparent here; I've been shown the entire building by Mr. Martin. The staff is so friendly and helpful; from the person at the front to all of the technicians and mechanics. Their prices are reasonable and guaranteed. Today I'm getting my wheel bearings replaced and I know the work is going to be done right. This is the place to take your vehicle when it needs servicing. Jay is an awesome mechanic; personable, funny, and professional.
