At home my wife and I like to try different roasters and when we're on vacation we try to buy beans from a local roaster. So far that's 10 states we've sampled. East Coast Roast is right at the top. Richard knows his stuff. It's a real passion for him and it shows. The coffee is phenomenal and East Coast Roast is a must stop destination now when I visit.

I went for a Freddo Matcha. You can add honey or sugar for sweetness. I opted not to get as I wanted to taste the matcha. Their matcha is pretty good! I would get a little sweetness next time. I would try their pastry next time as well. There are a couple tables, and I was able to sit and finish my drink.

I went with one of my friends. We both had the mochas and I had a shot of espresso because the book recommended it. The espresso was good, not overly bitter, pretty much just right. The mocha was amazing a good ratio of chocolate, coffee and espresso. It was pretty busy here and the atmosphere was nice. The snacks looked really good maybe one day I'll go back for a pastry. I give for five five stars and five beans and would recommend coming here if you like coffee shops.

The elitist attitude continued throughout the transaction; she couldn't be bothered to tell me which beans she was using, and once the coffee was finished, she didn't even acknowledge me or announce that the drink was ready. It's a shame when a shop's "gatekeeping" attitude ruins the experience. There is no excuse for treating customers with that much contempt. I won't be returning to a place that makes me feel like an inconvenience for ordering a coffee.
