Jeremy responded within minutes and we set up an appointment quickly. I, unfortunately, was irresponsible and missed our appointment, but he still inspected and sent a quote that evening. I reached out for his opinion, and he was honest in what he thought would get the leak solved for the least cost. He suggested a patch and seal job would last at least half a decade, which fit our needs, but obviously a full replacement would be a more permanent solution. As we opted for the patch and seal, his team were quick to get the job done, and payment was super easy. Fast forward a few months to early May, when it's been raining nonstop the past few days, and no leaks! Of course, I hope the work they've done lasts longer than five years, but I know who to contact when I need it.

I chose 4J's on the recommendation of two neighbors who recently had their houses painted. The…read morerecommendations were justified, as the work is excellent, with special attention to detail and quality: - Communication via phone and text was conscientious and prompt. - Jose gave estimates for three grades of paint and two kinds of primer. He is cost-aware but will not cut corners to the point of compromising quality. His explanation of the plan and the reasons behind it were detailed and clear. - The house was pressure washed, with additional sanding of the areas with peeling paint. - Previously peeling areas were then sealed with a glue-like primer before being primed again and then painted. - We had a problem with rotting siding next to a roof that sees and retains a lot of snow. Jose's crew replaced the siding and implemented a fix that should prevent the new siding from an early demise. - The house was well prepped before painting began. Windows were covered and anything that was not to be painted was removed or taped. Minor cracks in the eaves and trim were sanded and caulked. - The crew worked long hours under a very hot sun. They cleaned up after each day and left the worksite very tidy. Jose came to check on them and their work every evening. He also did a final walk-through to make sure everything was satisfactory before taking payment. The house, and the other two houses on the block that his crews painted, looks great. The company is independent and family-run and the work is guaranteed for two years. I highly recommend Jose and 4 J's to the community.

My biggest concern was the lack of care and carpentry skills involving my existing railing. They were not prepared to adequately modify the railing, so their solution was to just use scraps they found under my deck to "patch things up". The work was poorly done, but would have sufficed as a temporary solution while they bought some new stock. They called the work completed. It took two more attempts before they fixed the modifications properly.
