I called Blue Frog in October 2024 to address drainage issues and a damaged carport on a rental…read moreproperty. Initially, my request was simple: fix the carport, improve the drainage, and install longer gutter extensions. We don't have the time to do that work ourselves, so we hired professionals to handle it. When our insurance came to inspect the roof, they determined the entire roof could be replaced under coverage. At that point, the job expanded to include a full roof replacement, along with the original carport and drainage work. All seemed well at the time. Because of the season, the roof installation was scheduled for April 1, 2025. I'll take responsibility for not following up more firmly before the install date about the carport and drainage, but I had already clearly mentioned it in our original discussions. On April 1, the roof was installed, but nothing was done with the carport or drainage. I called that day to follow up and was told by their office, "We'll get that figured out," and that JJ, their install manager, would reach out to handle the rest. I waited several days. Nothing. Over the course of the next month, I called 13 times -- nearly every other day -- and heard nothing back. Every time I called in, their front office would say that I should get a call soon. This was deeply frustrating, especially since my carport was still leaking and the drainage issues were critical with the rainy season approaching. JJ finally called around April 22 at 6:40 PM. He claimed that he had been calling the wrong number previously in the voicemail and that he would give me a call in the morning. I missed the call during dinner, but I immediately called back and left a detailed voicemail. I never heard from him again. I let the company know that I would have to hire another contractor to complete the job. Their response was "That's inexcusable and we'll do our best to make it right." And of course, I had already lost faith at this point, so I put it behind me, and as of June, I still haven't received a single follow-up. Even if I received a little bit of accountability from their management, I would not have written this review. This roofing company was recommended to me by a close family member who works in insurance. Based on my experience, she no longer recommends them. Our family company manages many properties across Northern Colorado, and after this experience, we won't be working with or referring this company for any future jobs. To be clear, the quality of the roof work itself seems solid, and everyone I interacted with was kind. JJ is also clearly knowledgeable and seemed transparent in a space where roofing scams are all too common. But I don't hire companies just to do the bare minimum. I expect diligence, responsibility, accessibility, and clear communication. None of those expectations were met. The lack of follow-through, complete absence of accountability, and repeated broken promises made this a frustrating and disappointing experience. I cannot recommend this company and would encourage others to look for a team that delivers on the full scope of service needed, not just the installation.

The…read morehuge hailstorm that took out Colorado Mills also hit my neighborhood pretty hard and finished off the roof. I put off doing the roof as long as I could but this spring, I could wait no more. I found Altitude Contracting here on Yelp, but they were also recommended by my Allstate agent as well. I called them and Kyle Schroder the owner got right back with me to set up a time to come look at the house. He came and gave us an estimate and then went to work to help me file a claim with Allstate. As it turns out, Allstate was pretty hard to work with and Kyle went above and beyond to get Allstate to pay what they should. Once we were able to get Allstate on board, Kyle and company went to work. While it took 3 months to get Allstate to pay, it only took Altitude ONE DAY to do the roof from start to finish. They not only replaced the felt and shingles, but also the vent covers, flashing and all the other metal. It looked FABULOUS and when I looked around at the end of the day, you absolutely could not tell they had been there other than having great looking shingles. No trash, no debris, no nails or screws left behind to get in your tires. Perfect job. Now, they absolutely were NOT the cheapest (I had gotten quotes for up to 2000.00 less). However, I have had several roofs done over the years at various properties and Altitude was the fastest and most professional roofing company I have ever worked with. I hope not to need a roof again for several years, if ever. However if I do, I will definitely use Altitude Contracting again. You will not go wrong with these guys!!
