Parking lot packed when the jackpot is high!
Paul P.

Folks here are always helpful and friendly. Depending on the "jackpot" defines the lines. Arrive early generally helps avoid that. The line is for folks who want personalized service. If you want to buy lotto tickets enter through the side door to use the machines. Cash only, ATM is available on site. There is ice cream & sodas for sale. Generally clean and well maintained.

Quality/Quantity - This was my buddy's "go to" place for breakfast every morning before skiing. But they increased the price by $1 so we stopped coming, lol. Our "go to" breakfast was in the Sierra Cafe. They used to have pancakes, eggs, bacon/sausage, hash browns, etc. for only like $5-6 bucks. Atmosphere - Convenient in and out location. Casino, RV resort, gas station, etc. Open 24 hours. Plenty of parking in the back, but we have never had an issue getting a space up front either. Service - Good. We usually just go to the cafe. I have not used any of the other services. Nor have I gambled here. Price - Depends on what you buy/drink. Or depends on how much you gamble. Owner Comment - Congrats on your success with your 8-10+ locations...?

We stopped off here on the way to Reno .They have everything.Gas station, casino, restaurant's, convenient store,RV,ect.I recommend this place

HUGE French Toast serving; very good. Bacon was typical/ greasy

First time here for convenience of being close to the border. Came into restaurant right as they opened at 8am on a Sunday. Seated right away, food came out little over 10 mins later. Good portion sizes for breakfast and the price. Very basic, but still yummy and waitresses were very nice. I have to dox a star for the women's restroom being closed as we came in, especially with who roams around the small casino. But still will return!

Ice stop

On our fist trip to do a little fishing at Stampede. We had all the gear ready and just needed ice. As always lots of people getting gas to go back to Ca.

It's my reliable breakfast stop when I stay near Reno. It's easy to park, get in the restaurant & order. During the pandemic they're wearing masks & keeping things spotless. I was seated quickly, had coffee within 2 minutes, ordered right away & was delivered a tasty breakfast of ham, eggs & hash browns within 5 minutes of ordering. I'll keep coming back!

The bar manager, Nicki is extremely trashy & unprofessional. The service stinks! She needs to talk less & serve more!

We skipped Boomtown to come to The GOLD RANCH for their food at The Sierra Cafe based on a friend's recommendation.

All our food was awesome, the service was excellent. Novel concept here, pay attention ... no one greeted us with the overused phrase " WELCOME IN." Hey folks STOP IT, stop saying "WECOME IN"! Anyway the tables were kept clean, the ice tea, water, lemonade never went dry. Refills were plentiful. The condiments on the tables were clean. The bathrooms were clean. The staff were attentive & very friendly! This is a rare place in an area where there is a desert of good Resturants! I highly recommend "Crazy Calamities"

This straight forward home style cooking serves breakfast and lunch five days a week until 3 pm. Breakfast portions are substantial. Fluffy airy pancakes that require no syrup. Biscuits and brown sausage gravy bigger than a lumberjack's fist. And if you require a little adult beverage- there's several options for mimosas. Including a flight if you can't decide. And house made Bloody Mary mix that creates a drink that looks like a meal, but I was assured it was just an appetizer. If you slept in or weren't quite feeling like breakfast, there's a great variety of hearty sandwiches. My go to is the BLTA on your choice of bread. Fries are good, but I highly recommend the tater tots- they are tossed in crack, so you just can't stop. And don't ask me to share. The French dip was piled high with thinly sliced roast beef on a fresh hoagie bun. There's a great small patio out front, large dining room to the right or the quaint cafe like area you walk into. Also congrats to the CC crew. 2026 Rocky Mountain Oyster Festival winning Philly cheesesteaks. Yes it was delicious.

My girlfriend and I had an amazing experience here from begin to end. The staff was kind and attentive, we had a waitress who sat us down and got us coffee and water, and after that it was uphill from there. We had three other servers stop to ask if we needed anything or wanted to give our order, and once we made up our mind the waiter who helped us did a fantastic job. No pen or notepad, he remembered our order with full detail and not one mess up. As we finished out appetizer, sides, and meal he continued to come by and take our plates, refill our water and my coffee. He was on point. By the end of the meal I paid the bill and gave him a cash tip and thanked him. He seemed happy and thanked us for stopping in and conversing with him. Highly recommend this place to anyone, oh, and the food was on point! Sweet, savory, delicious, and it made me wish there was a place like this back home!

The place itself is quite small with limited parking, but everyone is nice and kind and they have little buzzers to notify you when your table is ready :) I got the French toast with strawberries and oh my goodness it was DELICIOUS. The French toast was a perfect blend of fluffy on the inside and crispy on the outside. The bread itself was amazing. I opted in for some fresh strawberries, but you can get other fruit or a fruit syrup as well. The French toast also comes with warm maple syrup, and I can attest it was definitely warm. It made the whole eating experience feel luxurious, and I had a delightful time eating it all up. If I ever come back to Lake Tahoe for holiday, I will definitely need to swing by this place to experience this French toast again. So good!
