Such a cute spot with solid coffee. Loved their "special" latte which was rose and lavender flavored, took it with oat milk. The staff was friendly and the indoor area had nice vibes for sitting or doing work. The exterior parking was convenient and there was a pretty garden type seating out there as well. I've come here a few times as I'm new to the neighborhood. It's a bit odd at first but it's located in a framing/art shop. There is a shaded parking lot through the back alley/street. ORDERED: - blueberry waffle - almond milk latte with a little honey PROS: - nice staff - latte had a bit too much honey but was delicious. I slurped it down it was so good - the jam with the waffles was so good I wanted to drink it. Pretty sugary but it paired so well with the baby waffles. - there is a long counter at the window that is nice to sit at and a barista bar top CONS: - the latte was really small. Another time I went in for a Togo latte it came in the tiniest cup ever. Not worth how much I paid for it. - it was really good but I wouldn't go again unless it's a treat for me. * I would recommend anyone to go because everything tasted great read more

The atmosphere on the inside is amazing. Beautiful smells, high ceilings, and local art on the walls. Many comfy sitting areas for groups or if you are alone. The outside has a beautiful bougainvillea tree and lovely landscaping and a few tables and chairs. But. The BEST part of this place is the coffee. I ordered a cold brew latte, which is half cold brew, half milk, and opposed to a regular cold brew, which has half water with just a splash of milk. I opted for the house made lavender with coconut milk, and it was truly the most exquisite, rich, flavorful coffee I've ever had. The lavender is truly house made- I'be worked on an organic English lavender farm and the coffee tasted as aromatic as the fields did there. Truly never experienced lavender flavor like that before, so I am so happy to have found the real deal. read more

Just here for a week, this is my second day coming here, and this place is great! Location, parking, patio, everything awesome. Staff are young, hilarious, singing...all part of the ambiance. There's some great local art work all over the walls, very unique. Oh wait, the important part, the coffee is good! Saturday morning barista seemed annoyed to be working No acknowledgement of customers waiting in line as in no eye contact. Maybe they were short staffed or the barista had some kind of issues, but a disappointment nonetheless. Didn't stay long enough to check out the menu items. I will try again and hopefully there will be people working there that actually want to work and present a friendly atmosphere. I went back and forth between 3-4 stars on this one because to be honest it was a long wait and not great experience, but the actual coffee and bagel (minus the burnt part) were super delish and quality. When traveling I always try and find a local coffee place at least one morning to try, enter Gold Leaf Coffee Co with locally roasted Steel Oak coffee. A hipster coffee spot at its heart, the interior is beautiful with framing and art complimenting the space. We ordered easily, a white chocolate mocha and salted caramel latte, plus one of their house made bagels and cream cheese to go. About $18 (pricey but we understand the cost for local quality ingredients) and 15 minutes later the barista shouts our drink orders, I taste mine and cannot taste the white chocolate, my hubs salted caramel was divine though. The other worker looks at us puzzled as to why we haven't left and we asked after our bagel, he quickly over toasted one to make up for it (definitely took 30 minutes for a pop in, luckily we weren't in a rush). I then followed up about the white chocolate in my drink the barista announced they were out of white chocolate, my question being why didn't they just tell me instead of trying to pretend I wouldn't notice? Well she ended up added some of their house made vanilla syrup which was fantastic. We left and noticed the state of our bagel after the fact but at this point we didn't turn around, that being said even with the extra crunchiness we could tell this stuff was quality. I would return if I was in the area and had plenty of time to sit and relax over a bagel and coffee. Not a quick in and out (but I don't think they want to be). Clearly the quality is there and it could've just been an off morning on some of the other service related mishaps. read more

This is one of those places that when you walk in and you feel extra classy. Did I pick out the right shorts and sandals? Is my hair appropriate? I have no idea. But I know that this coffee shop adjacent to an art and frame store is fancy, and if you don't have the right sandals or the right hair it's totally okay. I tried the blueberry waffle (I got the half order) and it was pretty ample and surprisingly large for a breakfast snack. The walnuts on top were luscious. I also grabbed a little bit of nondairy butter from my friend and put it on the edges of the waffle and it made it even better. Their Americano iced was wonderful, served in a mason jar with a giant square ice cube. Very classy! This little coffee shop was surprisingly busy and there's something about it I really liked. Nice sofas and lots of seating, open spaces, and a gratitude journal in the corner. Would definitely come back when I'm in the neighborhood! read more

If I could give this place zero stars I would. I don't understand how hair was in my coffee but the worst thing is drinking a cup of coffee with hair in it. The service was horrible and the coffee smelled funny. I won't be returning here I'm sticking to Starbucks where the coffee is fresh and the hair is on the person head and not in my cup. Next level good with Great Mochas and Great Breakfast sandwiches. This place is the real deal with smooth rich espresso and excellent chocolate for the mocha. The bagel with quiche was one of the best breakfast sandwiches I have had at a coffee house. If I make it back to Ormond Beach I will be at the Gold Leaf every morning for coffee and the breakfast sandwich. read more

Great drinks! First visit I ordered an iced latte with toasted coconut flavor syrup - OMG it's amazing! And a friend ordered a pour over which she loved. Went back and got iced americanos with toasted coconut and a splash of oat milk -- perfection! Do yourself a favor and get it! You can tell this is a community space with a lot of regulars. I don't usually hang around inside (even though the lighting and decor is very cozy) but everything I've ever ordered to-go has been great. The texture of the bagels is perfect; a little crisp and a little chewy. The lattes are downright riddled with espresso (as a bartender, this is much appreciated) and they don't gouge you on "alternative" milks. read more

After coming here almost weekly this place has become a staple in weekend AM routine. So pleasant to sit in and just relax with some great coffee and bagels. We just tried the bagels and so mad I didn't try them sooner...they're so good!! They are flavorful, not too dense, and golden brown - one of the best I've had. You can pair them with so many toppings but I've found they don't always have eggs or cheese or other ingredients which is a bit annoying. New favorite drink there is an iced cortado. and if you're haven't tried it yet, you're welcome. I did notice the service was extremely slow 2 weekends in a row and I think it just wasn't well staffed. We weren't in a hurry so that was OK but typically this would bother me when leaving a review. read more

Haven't had coffee this good since I moved from New York. It's a little bit of a drive to be my regular place but I've found myself driving a bit further anyway because this place is that good. It does take a little longer for them to prepare your drink than most other places but it's well worth the wait. If you like Starbucks definitely give this place a try and support a local business. Not only is the atmosphere a nice change from the cookie cutter Starbucks sitting areas, but the coffee/espresso drinks are a huge step up. I do wish they had a few more food/baked goods in there selection but I may just be coming too late in the day and everyone's already eaten them up. Today I saw a couple different kinds of muffins which looked great but I had just eaten so I didn't try them this time. Already looking forward to my next cup. read more
